As a child, my parents first took me to Maggio's original location when they opened in 1976. As I grew into adulthood, Maggio's grew, including their ever expanding menu. They had been my favorite local eatery for the last four decades, as their food and wide selection were always phenomenal! During the worst of COVID, I ordered meals regularly from Maggio's via Uber Eats. Towards the end of May, my first time eating out in over a year was, you guessed it, at Maggio's. My friend and I were seated outside, as the weather that night was perfect. The waiter brought the menus, and when he walked away, I found myself looking at a single sheet, double sided menu as opposed to the multi page menu they have had for years. I immediately assumed that they must have been offering a limited menu for those who chose to dine outside, and that we would go inside so as to order from their full menu. When the waiter returned, I asked him about moving inside, and explained why we wanted to do so. To my surprise, I was told that the pamphlet they now call their menu is reflective of a new direction... A limited menu that would change every week or every other week. The dishes my friend and I were use to ordering were gone. Since we were already there, we decided to find something to order, but we would not be returning. I asked if the waiter could pass along that a customer of 40 years was truly upset with this new business model. Maggio's was always a five star dining experience, but not any more. I hope that they eventually return to their full menu, otherwise I will find a new go to restaurant. read more

Just had our Easter dinner that we ordered from Maggio's. Food was delicious and as always plenty of food. Pick up went just as they planned. Was much easier than trying to find all of the ingredients in the market these days. Can't wait for the restaurant to open this is our favorite breakfast spot read more

I have been coming to Maggio's for years and even held my parents 50th wedding anniversary dinner here. I have attended a wedding there and several showers here as well. That is the reaon I planned my daughters bridal shower here before Covid hit. It has been a miserable experience almost from the start. The gentleman that booked the rooms for me could not have been nicer or more helpful. He booked all 3 rooms for my shower of approximately 100 people. He left the facility about 2 months after I booked. The banquet manager Bette than took over. Immediately she tried to get me to drop from 3 rooms to 2 citing that the man that booked me made a mistake. I had signed a contract. That was not my problem. She called me 2 additional times and asked that we come in to veiw the rooms. We did and still felt we needed all 3. She than called me again trying to make me feel guilty that they could not book a baby shower in the 3rd room. Why would any business try and make a customer feel guilty? Then Covid hit. We called to postpone the shower. Bette did have another date available but insisted I only use 2 rooms before agreeing to give it to me. I am so sorry I agreed. I should have found a new venue. As the new date approached it became clear we were not going to be off lockdown. I spoke again to Bette and she agreed we could use our deposit for catering. I was going to hold a very small luncheon (20 ppl) in my home during the yellow phase. She told me to look at the off site catering menu and I did. My daughter chose 3 entrees for our guests to pick from. One week before the shower Gina-part owner-contacted me that my choices were not available, not on the menu. They WERE on the off- cite menu and no where did it say they were not available. She offered to let me order off the restuarant menu and nearly double the price. She told me Gina did not know, she did banquets. Again, why is that my problem or my fault? Not once was it explained to me everything was buffet style (which I was fine with) and I would have to provide racks and heating for the food in my home. We changed the menu 2 days befor the shower and I was still not told any of this. In fact at one point she told me I could take my business elsewhere. This was 2 days before the event. She never apologized for the treatment I had been given and was pretty rude through the whole process. I spent the day before getting racks for the food and what I needed to keep the food hot. The only good thing I can say is that the food was good. The service was terrible and I was not treated as a customer so much as a person whose business was less than important to them. I am a very respectful person when dealing with anyone. The treatment I experienced doing business at Maggios was miserable and they lost us, and our family and friends, as customers in the future. read more

We had a horrible experience at their catering hall/ballroom. Right from the beginning, the head hostess was offensive and rude to the kids, she said that she never saw worse kids in her life because the table was so messy. She actually took the food off the children's tables before they finished eating. The hostess and other service personnel were mean to kids, they would not allow kids who came outside to get back inside the building even though the parents went to get them, there was nothing that kids did that should have had provoked such a reaction. Food was OK....I had Chicken & Anduie gumbo, rice could've been cooked more thorougly , my wife had veal Dijon,she said it was good. The problem was the 35 minute wait for a table, & we waited @ the bar...which was filthy, crumbs everywhere & had a film of filth...seriously needed a disinfecting. The service was simply not good at all.....the waiter we had was obviously new,was tending to 10 tables including us, & we had to flag him down several times, most of them unsuccessfully. We finally had to get a hold of the manager,as the "to go" order we placed for our son at the beginning of the meal WAS NEVER PLACED. The only reason we went there was that we heard good things about Maggio's, & had a coupon for $25....this place is a 1\2 hour from my home, & honestly, after all the BS at this place,I'm not going to make that trip again. read more

Worst experience ever! Five of us had a reservation for 5pm. Before being seated we were told that we could only have the table till 6:46pm when the 7pm reservation was due to come in None of us had ever been given an exit time in a restaurant. Also, one of my favorite dinners is crab cakes. So I ordered them at $24.99. They were overdone, burned on the bottom and If you like turkey stuffing you'll love these. The bar tenders are awful. We are here now for a 30th birthday which had been scheduled in advance. The bar tenders could not keep up with the orders. Even after the crowd thinned we waited over 15 minutes to be served. They would keep saying "we'll be right with you" and never co e back. Nice ambiance for "bar food". Service staff was hospitable and attentive. My wife had the ravioli -- fresh, home made pasta, filling and sauce ... ample serving and very tasty. I had the "Philly" cheese steak ... very good, but a real Philly Cheese Steak doesn't use as high quality meat as Maggio's! read more

I really wanted to try this place because it was recommended from a few friends, but as soon as we walk in we are seated because there was almost no one in the restaurant. We sit down and wait. As we are already sitting for about 10 minutes or so another couple walks in and is seated. The waitress walks right up to them to get their drink order. But we are still waiting to give them our drink order, not one of the many people working there even walked to our table. So we left. I used to really like this place. As the years go by I feel like their quality of food, staff and the overall cleanliness of this place has decreased substantially. I remember their burgers on challah bread being amazing. Last time I was their they were out. The 2 times I was at this place the menus were filthy and sticky. My family and I went here to celebrate my 21st birthday last night. The food was awful, the service was just okay and the bill was WAY to high for the food that we ate. I want to give this place more tries. I do. I was not over the moon with my dish but my dinning companions liked theirs. I'll run down the pluses first. The beer list is huge, it is a small bible. But with that said I wish the offered a few ciders. Wine list is short and pretty standard. They do however have spiked adult milk shakes. I was freezing the night we dined there and so skipped it but will definitely try them when the weather is warmer. The bang bang shrimp appetizer went over well. For my dish I order pasta with meatballs and their "diablo" tomato sauce. This was pretty much marinara with a so much red pepper flake dumped into it the dish was close to inedible. So unless you like to taste nothing but burn then I would skip this sauce. This place is huge and has formal, casual, and bar dining areas. They also seem to do daily specials - the Monday night we were there it was pizzas but it was cash only for the special. read more

I was raised in Southampton and Maggio's was a key hangout for my friends and I (when it was a much smaller place in the Redwood strip mall). The cheese steaks, hoagies, and pizza were always among the best in the area. I've been to the new Mag for dinner and also for catered events. They did a great job with the catering and the food has been consistently delicious. Last time I was there I had a seafood pasta dish (forget what it was called) that I'd rank among the best ever. I also like that the new Mag has an extensive beer selection. Giving 4/5 stars, deducting 1 for the Mag being noisy, crowded, long waits, and the bar crowd is a negative for a family meal with kids. read more

My girlfriend and I eat here all the time and sometimes we go with my parents. My "go to" menu item is the tuna sub. It's is the best tuna sandwich in bucks county. My dad loves it so much I even bought him a tuna sandwich wrapped in a gift bag for Father's Day and he was thrilled lol. The menu is reasonably priced especially when you order a meal that you can get either a soup or salad and the French onion soup is an option! Normally French onion soup isn't included as a soup with the combination options at most restaurants. The servers are always terrific. Also for dessert, the peanut butter bomb is literally the BOMB. I would never recommend this caterer for your wedding. While the food is good I was promised they would do the decorating 3 hrs before start I just had to email them the layout and pics of what I wanted things to look like. I emailed them everything had each table boxed up separately and was told not to worry. Not only on my wedding day where they late, but my mom had to set everything up because they told her they don't do that. Needless to say my wedding started late because of them. I was in tears and angry at my mother because it wasn't supposed to be that way. I wasted all my time making everything easy for them for nothing. To boot the staff they sent spent the entire time complaining how hot it was and wanted to clean up before they were supposed to. To boot at the end all the food left over they took back and didnt even give to us which we had already paid for and should have been given to us. I've been going here literally my entire life and they have always had my favorite pizza!! Sometimes the service is a little slow but the servers are always very nice. The older blond lady that's always at the hostess stand (I think shes been working there since before they moved) is really unfriendly and nasty so I could do without her. I am a huge supporter of Maggios. They not only have a bar and restaurant, they also can host bridal showers and other events in their banquet area. It's gorgeous in there. The food is outstanding and worth every penny. Who knows a place that has happy hour on a Saturday NIGHT from 10-12 pm!? Half off all drinks. I had my grad party back in 2012 and the owner Sam was professional and attentive to everything I was looking for. Went here for a family occasion again and was not disappointed!! Portions are still HUGE,wife and I had some great Seafood Alfredo, split one and had plenty!! Also had Bang Shrimp and small Scallops in Sweet Asian sauce. Huge scallops and shrimp were evident, cooked perfect. Served fresh bread and home made whipped butter...... Yummy. I recently had my daughters bat mitzvah in the ballroom at Maggios. My family and I frequent their restaurant many times but never had a large party there. I must say that the entire event from start to finish was flawless!!!!! The food was amazing and served hot. The portion sizes were large and the waitstaff was so happy, attentive and professional. Alison Korbiak was the banquet manager that helped me plan the whole party and she was excellent. She guided me on a menu and seating arrangements. She was impeccable as was her staff in the entire execution of the party. I cannot say enough wonderful things about using Maggios as a venue for your next event. They were fabulous!!! read more

Good homemade Italian food, you can tell the sauces are made fresh, pasta al dente, & good desserts. a solid local choice for good Italian.

If you come for Sunday brunch, be prepared to wait. It's because there's a buy one get one for $1 brunch deal on Sundays! Everything they have tastes pretty good too. The problem (or is it a good thing?) is that they run out of lox pretty quickly, because they buy it fresh every week, and when it's out, it's out. So come earlier if you want anything with smoked salmon. Otherwise everything is solid. read more

Ahhh, Maggios. What is there to say about Maggios? It's close, it's tasty, the menu is huge and the drinks are good. The prices are high for what you are getting but there isn't a whole lot of options in the area. I love sitting in the bar and having apps and a drink - great atmosphere. The only downside (besides price) is that Maggios ALWAYS finds a way to screw you if you have a gift card or are using a voucher - "Ohhhh, that's not valid because you didn't order XYZ" - we have had the manager involved twice and they always resolve it and agree it's ridiculous. Other than that -nothing will keep me outa Maggios anytime soon! read more

Liz here- My husband, sister in law and I ate here tonight and we had a great experience. It's Friday night and we've had many friday nights in the northeast where its impossible to get a seat at an average restaurant. We had heard that maggios was good so we decided to try it. We gave our names and were seated within 15 minutes of our arrival at a booth (we were really surprised since it was Friday and it was crowded). there was a nice selection of beers although they didnt have lambic framboise but otherwise very good selection. We started off with cheese fries which were thick cut fries with cheese, bacon and green onions-delicious. For dinner, we ordered the Mr. Go burger, French onion burger and the milano pizza. The pizza i have to say is one of the best pizzas ive had in northeast philadelphia and we ordered the small pizza-it was huge- had 8 slices and had half available to take home. All three that we ordered were delicious. We also ordered a burger to go which was ready as we had finished up. We were so full by the end that we didn't get a chance to try dessert. Also our server was very good, probably one of the best servers i've ever had. Overall we had a great experience at a reasonable price on a typically busy night in a busy restaurant. We will definetly be back and next time we'll try dessert and hopefully breakfast soon read more
