I dropped off two cream drapery panels to be cleaned by Magic Cleaners. I was told by the manager they would be completed by Thursday but if there was a delay they would call me. I went to pick up the drapes by Saturday as I figured they'd surely be done by that time. When I got there the girl working the front desk could not find my drapes. I could tell she was getting nervous and she got on her cell phone and started making calls. She then said my drapes had been "sent out" and the location they were sent to could not find them either. She then told me she was going to call her boss to track them down. I was upset as I had gotten the drapes cleaned for a party but she then told me they would do a drop off to my home. I thought this was extremely gracious. My drapes were dropped off later that afternoon. That night I went to hang my drapes and realized something was radically wrong, the drapes, which are DRY CLEAN only, had shrunk 6 INCHES. Not only that but they were a wrinkled mess. I knew instantly that the drapes had not in fact been dry cleaned but they had been laundered. The drapes are irreplaceable they are part of a set of that match the other curtains in my living room 3 sets of windows in total. With these two shrinking I now have to replace all TWELVE drapes. This is HUNDREDS of dollars to replace. As you can imagine I am livid. I called the cleaners over the weekend and left a message asking for the manager to call me back. They never returned my call. As a business owner you have a diligence to address and speak to your customers. This company, lost my drapes, didn't have them completed on time and then made the grave mistake to launder them which resulted in them being completely ruined. I have photos will upload later with proof. I would caution anyone from using this business unless you want your items destroyed and a manager who doesn't care in the slightest. read more

This place is super unprofessional! Dropped clothes off Friday morning and was told By Monday. Sounded reasonable to me as I need the clothing for Monday afternoon. When I go to pick up my clothes on Monday they tell me they haven't even started and now it might be Tuesday late afternoon. DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my expensive 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton down feather comforter to be DRYCLEANED.. I told the guy behind the counter that I wanted it Drycleaned as it specifically states on the label "Dryclean only". Later that day I walked down to my local laundromat to wash some larger items that wouldn't fit in my own washer and dryer and who do I see?! There's the guy I dropped my comforter off with in the laundromat down the road from his drycleaner with my wet comforter fresh out the washing machine!! He doesn't realize it's me when he asks the girl who works there how long to throw it in the dryer for!! I caught the guy red handed! He would have charged me dry cleaning prices for a $4 wash that I could have done myself! When I confronted him and told him he was holding my comforter he was shocked to see me and didn't know what to say. He had a stack of other items that he was also washing. Needless to say this guy SCAMS his customers!! read more

This place is definitely not worth the price. First off, per item pricing is pretty high in comparison to other establishments around town. To pay an average of $8 per item, with the service I got received is ridiculous. I discussed what day the clothes would be ready since I'm leaving out of town and didn't want to rush them. We agreed on Saturday which was about a week away, no problem. What was a problem was, when I went to pick up my clothes, him telling me they're not there. He tells me, maybe today. What??? Then after refreshing his memory on our agreement, he miraculously remembered what was going on and my clothes were indeed there. Well, most of them. There was a missing item and when I asked about it, he tells me, oh... Maybe today. It takes time. I asked, how will I know when it arrives our if it comes in today and he just says, I don't know. Maybe today. The midst astonishing thing to me was right before I walked out of the store,he says to me, what? What's your problem? Really?!?! Needless to say, this was not the best first impression for a first time customer. I'm going to take my business elsewhere. I can get amazing service and quality for much less, I'm just going to have to make the drive from now on. The clothes were cleaned, do they'll get the 2 stars for going their job. Way too expensive. I came here because my usual place was closed for Labor day and I just wanted to get my dry cleaning taken care of sooner than later. The clothing came out fine honestly but the price tag made my cringe. $6 per item? Crazy... I paid $20 for 2 shirts and one pants... My usual place charges like $2-3 each. I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon. The only plus was they email you a reminder when your clothes are done. They need to be more competitive with their pricing... But they are in Kensington so I guess rich people don't care/notice anyways. read more

Dropped off my comforter about 1.5 weeks ago. They said they would e-mail when it was done. Over the phone they had told me about $30-35 but the woman said "she couldn't remember for sure". I never got an e-mail from this location but I got an e-mail coupon from the other on Kettner. I was shocked to be charged $40 (that's with a 10% discount for the mix up). When I opened my comforter it smelled like plastic... And it's a rather nice Martha Stewart comforter that never smelled like this before. I probably won't come here again. Very friendly and reliable laundry. They do dry cleaning, regular laundry and ironing, and altering. I've used all three services and have been going there for many years. Even after I moved out of the area (about 10 miles away) I make the trip to this particular place. I won't go anywhere else. They are unfailingly polite and competent. Regardless of how much time has gone by between visits, they always remember my name and immediately pull me up on the computer, without asking. Any special instructions or requests are always accommodated. When the order is ready for pick up, they email you, so there are no useless stops. They also give discount coupons for loyalty. Its mostly my own fault but I'm still kinda sore about it, I brought some pants in to be hemmed, their tailor only works there two days out of the week, I gave the woman working there the pants and she marked where they were suppose to be hemmed.
