I came to this location to try out the banana pudding bar as I am a huge fan of magnolia's banana pudding I was initially going to go with the red velvet pudding but when I asked about the strawberry pudding and after conversing with the preparer I decided to go with the strawberry and I am glad I did, the pudding was super fresh as were the bananas to the point where it almost felt healthy! and with there being actual banana pieces and strawberry in it whose to say it isn't? the way the young lady with the glasses who prepared this was bar none, Ive been enjoying magnolia for YEARS but never had I had a pudding this good!
This location didn't seem as busy as the other locations and was located inside the mall. Luckily, there was little to no wait. There is seating around the area. Just like many others, I came for the banana pudding. It tasted solid, but it wasn't anything mind-blowing. The medium size is good enough to share with 2-3 people. It was sweet, creamy and filling. It was nice to try for the one time.
I was so excited to try the banana pudding bar but honestly it was way too sweet! I love dessert but I ended up throwing part of this away because the sweetness was making me a bit sick. I got the cookies and cream banana pudding from the banana pudding bar for around $10. The service was fine and I liked this location inside the mall. There are seats nearby. I would go back to try the regular banana pudding but any extra toppings is too much

I was hesitant at first but we got it cause my friend was craving sweets. Love it! I was so excited to try this month's special flavor, matcha banana pudding. There was fortunately a very short line when we stopped by. They only had the large size left of the matcha flavor. When I opened the container, it initially looked promising with a layer of matcha powder. However, as we started working our way through the container it just looked like the regular banana pudding with maybe one other layer of matcha powder. There was absolutely no matcha taste. While there's certainly nothing wrong with the original banana pudding (it was still very tasty), I was super disappointed by the matcha flavor. There was lots of potential with this flavor. However, I did reach out to customer service and they were very quick to respond.
I came here and got a confetti cupcake! It was super yummy - not too sweet. The sprinkles kind of got everywhere though. The guy who helped me was very kind too.
Run don't walk to try the pumpkin spice pudding, especially if you love any kind of pumpkin dessert. This was so delicious!! It had gobs of cookie butter mixed in with the normal banana pudding mix ins and everything just complimented each other really well. The shop is tiny but there was no wait on a Saturday afternoon. Really easy to just pickup what you're looking for and the workers are so sweet.
Magnolia's reputation speaks for itself. The line was long but moved steadily, and it was absolutely worth the wait. The portions are generous for the price--a large classic banana pudding costs $8.75. I usually avoid banana pudding with sliced bananas because I don't like how they turn brown, but I loved that Magnolia blends the bananas right into the pudding. It was incredibly delicious, and my only regret is not buying more than one. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and I highly recommend it!
No wait and a chance to try their famous banana pudding, sign me up!! I stopped by the Magnolia Bakery shop located in Hudson Yards on the 4th floor. As there was pretty much no wait, I easily ordered a banana pudding and was off on my way to eat it. I ordered a medium size which was perfect to share with others to try their famous banana pudding. It was very creamy and the hint of banana taste complimented it well. There are plenty of tables on each floor so you can easily find a spot to enjoy.
I would wait in ANY long line to have their desserts. Service was fast and friendly as there were several people lined up. I tried the chocolate cake slice and the banana pudding. A lot more whip cream for my taste but still delicious. This is upstairs at the Hudson yards
Visited magnolia twice as a tourist. I got the banana pudding and I would get it again when I come back. I also got the lemon bar and the caramel pecan cheesecake. The banana pudding was a great hit. I enjoyed it so much. It was creamy with a good ratio of the cracker and banana in each bite. It was pretty sweet but I have a sweet tooth so it was to my liking. The lemon bar was really good too. It wasn't too sour and a good sweetness balance. I like my pastries warm so I did heat mine up a little. If be careful with this as it can melt but u lived the taste. The caramel pecan cheesecake is probably my number one. I love cheesecake but especially the texture of this one. Most cheesecakes are heavy and thick. This one was light and creamy. It wasn't too sweet as you'd think it would be with caramel but the drizzle on mine kept a good balance. I will definitely be coming back for more of these items next time I'm in New York!

The difference between a small serving and a large cup of banana pudding is HUGE. So you might as well get the large... The texture is delicious! Fluffy, decadent, and almost mimicks ice cream with its creaminess. Definitely deserves the hype!
This location was in a nice shopping mall right by the Vessel! We stumbled upon it because we just wanted to escape the heat for a little bit after visiting the Vessel. We tried the famous banana pudding! I thought it was pretty solid, but I did wish it was less sweet. I liked how they had real banana chunks inside, and the pudding texture was nice. The small was a good size for me and my friend to split. Any bigger and it would've been too much because of the sweetness. read more
Magnolia Bakery is located on the 4th floor of Hudson Yards Shops. Plenty of options to select from - cakes, slices, sweets, cupcakes, banana pudding and their specialty pudding flavor each month. Come here a couple of times mainly to get the banana pudding to go for a quick snack. they come in 3 sizes... so choose which one suites you best. There is some seating - common seating across all the eateries on the 4th floor. The line goes fairly quickly...best know that you want. They also have beverages - coffee and others. the mini-cupcakes are good. read more

I give this place 3.5 The banana pudding is a solid 4 but the coffee was not good at all! The line was very long but it moves fast! It's definitely worth a visit specially for their famous banana pudding. read more

The famous banana pudding is always a hit! Ordered a small sized banana pudding since we were on the go and also the seasonal red velvet flavor. The red velvet one was nothing special, too sweet for our liking. Wish we had a Magnolia bakery in SF to be able to get the banana pudding more often. This location is at the top level of the shops at Hudson Yards. Both times that we've visited it hasn't been too busy like other locations around the city. read more

This place is located a level below edge in what seems like a mall. I have been wanting to come here for the longest, even almost ordered online. I just knew I was going to love this banana pudding. I was greeted right away. The young man was super polite with helping me pick a size. I ended up ordering the medium banana pudding. I ended up tasting it and liked the flavor and texture of the pudding. But realized quickly that mine did not have no cookies or wafers. It was literally just pudding and bananas that did not sit well with my spirit. I decided to take it back to my friend house where I could add some. I went to try it two days later and the pudding tasted weird. I never got around to adding the cookies fyi... but it taste Like something started separating in the custard. Great customer service but the pudding without the cookies was disappointing. read more

This was my first time. I got the small classic banana pudding and there was literally ONLY pudding. No wafers, no bananas pieces. It was like eating whipped cream. I had already walked away so I couldn't come back and let the workers know. Kinda bummed. read more

2.5/3 Food + Beverages; 1/1 Service; 0.5/1 Value I am a big fan of Magnolia Bakery's famous banana pudding, but I've always wanted to try their cupcake to change up the pace. I finally picked up a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting during a trip around the Hudson Yards. This location is on the 4th floor of the Hudson Yards, which has lots of seating for the many food vendors on this floor. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I was in-out in just minutes. They did a great job packaging the dessert as it held together throughout most of the day walking around the city with rather minimal damage to the frosting. I actually ended up eating the cupcake the next morning, and I was so surprised at how moist and tasty the cupcake was nonetheless! It was evident by the taste that the ingredients were of good quality. I hate too much frosting on a cupcake, but Magnolia's is super well-balanced in terms of cake to frosting ratio. Neither cake nor frosting were too sweet either. However, it is quite pricey ($4.15!) for the small serving for a cupcake that is while good, it is not life changing. While it may be a nice treat from time to time, it is certainly hard to justify regularly. read more
This place is always crowded with a long lines no matter where you are in the city. The food is always a hit especially the banana pudding, the one only thing i always get. I also got a hot chocolate, it was terrible, it was cold with a lackluster flavor of just water. I had to return it for a new one. Cute little bakery inside of the Edge building in the Hudson Yards community. The bakery offers a variety of delicious desserts, coffees, teas, lattes to satisfy any craving. They are know for their Banana Puddings. However, I decided to try the cheesecake. The Cheesecake was pretty rich. Very good. Even though it was a small piece, I couldn't eat it in all one setting. It was rich and fulling. I enjoyed every bite and definitely was happy that I was able to save some for later! They were pretty busy but very organized. They had one person taking orders and three others fulfilling those orders. The line was moving fairly quickly! The staff was nice and I look forward to coming here again on my next visit to NY. read more
Finally tried the famous Magnolia banana pudding and it did not disappoint! Not sure if I would crave this since I'm not a huge fan of bananas to start with, but if someone suggested coming here, I would definitely tag along Tasty and good for a small snack! read more
I'm not a fan of dry baked goods, so any cakes or cookies I eat are hit or miss. I had a Hudson Yards reward for magnolia bakery that gets you a free cup of coffee when you buy the banana pudding. I am so glad it pushed me in that direction, because the banana pudding was absolutely perfect! I would never have purchased it, because the options are so varied in the baked goods department. My go to is the carrot cake. Happy to switch it up! The pudding had some kind of whipped cream marshmallow magic on top, fluffy and not too sweet. So silky smooth. Chunks of banana and cookies, soft flavors that were not overpowering. The coffee was just OK, but it got me here, so I can absolutely endorse this banana pudding as a new favorite! read more
Another one of those must-visit NYC establishments. Of course I had to try the world-famous banana pudding, and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I ordered a medium thinking it wouldn't even be enough for two people to enjoy but actually we didn't end up finishing it at all. It is not too sweet, but the flavor is like eating a mouthful of whipped cream with some slices of banana. If you are into very decadent, rich desserts then you might like this, but I could barely finish a few spoonfuls before disposing of the rest. Cute little chain of the greater Magnolia bakery. The staff are so nice and willing to let you know the available options. Although they are know for their sweets, I was in for a cup of hot chocolate - it's not overly sweet, and it's just right. Alternative milk charges $1. The holiday lights nearby in the Hudson Yard makes the place feel so warm with a cup of Magnolia hot chocolate. :) read more

Located inside the very hip Hudson Yards, I was thrilled to finally be able to try Magnolia Bakery. I have to say, I was not disappointed. Being located in a mall, the ambiance is about what you would expect. Clean and accessible to make it as easy as possible for visitors and patrons. That being said, service was efficient and friendly. But the best part has to be the food itself. I got the Lemon Bar and it was excellent. The lemon custard was just the right balance of tart and sweet while that pastry crust was so buttery and delicious. Overall, the dessert was not as heavy or sweet as it looked, which made it taste even better. This is a great place to visit if you are in the mall. Definitely drop by and grab that afternoon snack before you continue your shopping :) read more

Magnolia Bakery continuously pops up on my social media ads. I was very close to having it shipped to me in California via Goldbelly, but I'm glad I held out and tried the real deal on a recent trip to NYC. I tried the bread pudding from the Magnolia Bakery location at the Hudson Yards Shops. I didn't realize that Magnolia Bakery had a wide variety of desserts including cookies, cupcakes, cakes, cheesecakes, etc. All more the reason to come back. I probably should've tried the original flavor as a baseline, but the specialty flavor of the month was hard to resist. I ended up with the May flavor of salted caramel chocolate pretzel bread pudding, and it was fantastic. The pudding was creamy, and the pretzels added to the texture. The banana flavor was not as pronounced as I expected because of the salted caramel chocolate, but nothing to really complain about. read more
Great service and a nice place to get a treat after walking the skyline! Came for the famous banana pudding and wow, it really was amazing. I've never had anything like it. The texture and the flavors were incredible. The bananas were a nice addition and everything tasted so fresh. It was also so creamy. A truly amazing dessert and must try while in NYC! read more
