We came here last week for a birthday brunch. I wanted to like this place so badly and have heard so many good things. The menu looked amazing and I was excited to try it out. The atmosphere is very nice, and they did do a great job decorating. We sat in the back where they had what looked like a bar and I really liked the look of the galvanized steel they used. Very sleek. They front part of the restaurant was filled with couples, but it looked liked there was just one server. Time moved. We slowly. It probably took a half hour before our order was taken. It seemed like when the waitress wasn't out delivering food her and the rest of the staff were in the back chatting. You know they were all back there chatting because sound carries in that back room. Our food all came out at different times. There were six of us there but the rest of the party started to eat before I got mine because they said they didn't want their food to get any colder. My food finally came and the waitress said it took longer because of a mistake that was made while ordering. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was alright. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he said he wished he had ordered something different because it wasn't very tasty. (He is pretty easily pleased so I was surprised by this statement). I will say that our waitress was very calm and collective and she seemed to work well in situations. She was kind but I think they were understaffed. At one point while we were waiting for our food the coffee overflowed all over the ground and what appeared to be a busser came out and walked around the mess and got himself a soda or some beverage to drink. I thought as an employee he should have cleaned up the mess. read more

Either a hit or a miss. I have had several times where it's been delicious and other times it was just okay. Paid $15 or $16 for my husband to have fish that literally looked and tasted exactly like the van-de-kamps you'd buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Wouldn't recommend that, but some of the burgers are pretty good. read more

Saw the lights and the sign and very charming setting, lovely staff and we had the brie raspberry appetizer and I had the lobster macaroni and cheese, big yum, and my daughter had the salmon that came with three sides and you got fresh bread and butter ... I really, really wanted this to be a great review. Really. I made reservations for Mother's Day brunch months ago. At $27/person, I was expecting something wonderful. Instead, we got meh. Nothing was terrible. Nothing was really great, either. Literally everything kinda made you shrug your shoulders and say, "eh." No one at our table could even recommend anything. I ordered a Bloody Mary...not one garnish. Not even a lemon wedge. Thankful that was only $4.50. I'd suggest this brunch was worth $15.95/person...they would have still made money. My wife and I decided to get our Christmas tree this year up in Acme washington at a lovely tree farm up there. Of course we counted on finding a burger at one of the local restaurants along the way. After a hard day of hand sawing a Christmas tree my wife hit the interwebs to find us a spot to get a bite. She found Magnolia in Sedro Woolley. Magnolia is clearly run by people who care about their community the people and the food they serve. My wife and I were very satisfied with our chosen menu items, she ordered the prime rib dip and I the burger with cheddar no tomatoes and tartar for our fries. I was met with.a freshly made burger topped with greens, red onions, cheddar a pickle or 2 and special sauce all centered nicely in a brioche bun. My wife's prime rib dip was packed with meat caramelized onions between toasted sliced bread. Both were very tasty with the prime rib dip being exceptionally delicious. The fries are seasoned and crispy. The tartar sauce exceeded my expectations as it has its own special blend of seasonings that quite frankly surprised me. I was not expecting this burst of flavor. Visiting Magnolia was a wonderful cap to our long day which with the added bonus of exposing us to the cute Sedro Woolley downtown. We plan to return to this wonderful place to take in more of the small town tastes and vibes. read more

Used gift certificate we received to try it out. One meal we got was amazing, mine, not so much. Kind of bummed as it wasn't busy at all maybe 2 people in bar area that's it and meal ready in 10 minuets for to go order. Asked for no mushrooms, allergic. Smelled delicious though! At least my daughter enjoy it! Super friendly and nice just couldn't eat my meal as it was loaded with mushrooms. Other meal was pretty good though. read more

We had the 'Two Pork Nachos' appetizer, 'Crab and Prawn Louie' salad, and the 'Big Pig' sandwich. Although the food all came out to the table at the same time, that only made it more impossible to decide what to taste first! The two pork nachos were amazing, covered in bacon and pork - I'm not sure if they made the chips themselves, but it sure tasted like it because they were fresh! The crab and prawn louie salad was topped with a good amount of real crab, and came with sides of a delicious russian dressing. The big pig sandwich was our favorite - it was a huge sandwich, topped with a giant mound of pork, slaw, and delicious crispy mac & cheese. This sandwich could easily cost you $15-$20 elsewhere. It was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, stealing bites from each other's plates over the course of the evening. We don't go to Sedro Woolley often, but this will become a destination for us. Well done guys! read more

Always impressed by this place, even during covid. They have a nice cozy patio tent for outdoor dining, and even online ordering. I got the friday prime rib, and you get so much for your money and it was great. Only downside was the veggie was green beans, which is one of my least liked vegetables. Lets start with this...The food is delicious! The menu is well done and plenty to choose from. They are doing the simple things really, really well. My kid had chicken strips that were obviously hand-cut, brined or marinated and battered. Seriously perfect seaoning on them. I had a chicken sandwich(forgot the name) that had crispy parmesan on it. It was like crispy bacon in texture but all parmesan flavor. Fantastic! Dining room is a bit odd in that there isn't any separation from the front door to dining room, but they are barely 6 months old. Doing great things here and can't wait to try more items. Wow! Such an amazing Sunday brunch! I ordered the southwest breakfast burrito. It was super delicious. My husband got chicken and biscuits. It was THE best fried chicken we've ever had. And we lived in the south, so I think that's saying something. Great service, friendly staff, beautiful decor, and very reasonably priced in my opinion. So much food for your money. Such the perfect little restaurant for my small town! We have an abundance of Mexican restaurants, fast food, and sandwich places in this town. So you can probably imagine how nice it is to have a place where I can go to eat and have such a wide variety of meal choices ranging from fried chicken to pasta dishes to prawn salads. The service is always fantastic and I have yet to have a bad experience here. Prices aren't bad either for the quality of the food (which is always amazing). Almost never leave reviews but this place was pretty awesome. Chose it based on the pictures posted (ultimately choosing the chicken tenders and the hog sandwich) and both were phenomenal. Was surprised that they have a pretty good beer selection also in the $4-5 range per glass (nice change of pace from 6-7). Staff is on point, food was on point. Great food which is particularly magical during Covid when it's likely hard for restaurants to know what to have on hand. Everything was wonderful, from the meat loaf (made with tasty sausage) to the fries (spiced perfectly) to the mixed veggies which were tender and lightly buttered. This place would be packed in any other city that appreciates comfort food "with a twist" at affordable prices, and would have lines out the door in a college town. Connie the owner is also a joy and appreciates those who know she serves up excellent food in a town that may not always appreciate what's in its own backyard. We had lunch there a few days ago. Food was very good, beer was good, service too! I had the Burger Dip, my hubby had BLT. French fries were awesome too. The only negative was their Blue Cheese dressing... It wasn't very good. They need to try a different recipe. We will definitely go back! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Great atmosphere, food is amazing, I recommend the black and blue burger and fries. The fries are always piping hot crispy outer soft in the middle, their wedge salad with home made blue cheese dressing is spectacular, Also I had the sunday brunch that had biscuits and gravy that required a second helping and their french toast was equally fantastic, the staff there are all well educated in their craft and are just as friendly, you can ask them anything which is always greeted with a smile. This is the kind of restaurant that Sedro-Woolley needs. Everything from the food to the service was great. The soup of the day was a herb chicken, which was very flavorful. No noodles, no rice - They weren't needed. Just chicken, mushrooms and some veggies in a delicious broth. I had the buttermilk fried chicken with Tarheel gravy. The chicken was moist and tasty and the Tarheel gravy would have made cardboard taste good. My wife had a burger dip. She said that it was the best burger dip she's ever had. The bread was nice and crusty and had garlic butter for extra flavor. Even the kids Mac & Cheese was good (definitely not from a box). My only regret is that the portion sizes don't allow for dessert. Oh well, maybe next time we'll split something so we can save room. read more
