I have been coming here for quite awhile now and always get good service. Every time I call in for an appointment they know my name and are very friendly. I can usually get the time I want as long as I call a few days in advance. While I don't have a specific technician that works on my nails, they have all been good and I have no complaints. Some are better than other, but I understand that some are also more experienced than others too. I have even had the owner work on my nails, and she was very patient and friendly. We even got to talking about travel and whatnot. Small talk that was enjoyable. While this place is a little more in price than others I keep coming back for the good customer service, and friendly atmosphere. I see myself being a long time customer for sure. read more

Very disappointed about this place. While the receptionist was very nice and you got offered a free drink while doing your nails I wouldn't come here again. One nail got really bumpy like she accidentally touched my nail but didn't fix it. The white tip was thicker, some nails were a little bumpy too, my nails were not evened out and all in all a poor execution. It was just not precise. I originally wanted to do a different style but the communication was a little bit off since I didn't really understand the nail technician and after a couple of my "sorry?" I was too scared to ask again because it seemed like she was already annoyed or reserved in the first place. So I just chose something that was more "simple" to make it easier for us. I really wanted to give this place a better review since it's also very clean in general. But I left this place disappointed. And my nail broke after some time which never happened to me before. I was debating leaving a review but I've never had a bad experience at a nail salon until this week. This was my first time at this salon. I'm also not a Karen whatsoever but I've never felt disrespected for paid work at a salon. The salon service overall is good and the front desk worker is a kind man. My nail tech was a different story and I think it was the only man who's a nail tech there. I asked him for a French tip and at first the white was very thin so I kindly asked for a thicker line and showed him a picture and he did it again, which I was very thankful for. It was a bit too thick but he was only one nail in so I asked him if it was more like the picture. He started to get irritated and said "this is why I asked you and you said something else". I was embarrassed because it made somewhat of a scene. I then tried to be polite and say "no it's okay you can leave the ones you did already just a bit more like the photo". He proceeded to say "is this thick enough for you?" After redoing it and was noticeably being aggressive with his tools, dropping them unprofessionally. I was already having a very bad day and wanted some relief by getting a simple gel manicure, and I did not want to deal with calling him out in front of other guests. I don't believe in nitpicking small experiences at places of service and leaving reviews everywhere I go, but this time was different. If I'm paying quite a bit of money for my nails as a college student, it's not fair I feel disrespected for wanting it done how I like it. Hopefully he learns from this experience and treats other customers with kindness and consideration. Maybe I'll come back because of the close proximity but I'll choose a nail tech with good reviews as I see quite a few. read more

Jenni at Mai Nail bar is a absolutely fantastic. Her work truly speaks for itself. I was so pleased with the salon as well. Would say 3.5-4 stars. Definitely a good number of pros: everyone was so friendly; easy, quick appointment scheduling; salon was clean and comfortable, and it felt Covid-safe; nice massage chairs; mani and pedi looked good, and even though they were both with normal polish, they lasted several weeks; affordable; parking. Some minor cons and these may be specific to what I don't like/like for a mani/pedi experience: I'm very nervous/sensitive about nicks during cuticle trims and I got multiple, which were painful during and for a couple days after. Like sometimes I even ask for no trims at salons bc I am nervous and such a wuss. Other minor con included getting asked multiple times why I wasn't getting gel. I totally get that it's a business and gel brings in more money, but I shouldn't have to say no thanks or explain why I don't want a service multiple times. I don't even know that the cons would necessarily prevent me from going back, but just wanted to share my experience. read more

I always bring my daughter (11 yrs. old) who has her own tastes in things, she was so well taken care of by Ms. Diane. The result came out way more than I she brought (from Google snap shot) . Our girls day out since she was 5 years old. Being said that, Ms. Mai does superb job on mind. This place is a top notch! I bet you all have your own established place to go to. There are complimentary drinks, an abundance of different colors, and they seem to be keeping up with the trends, which are all great! Plus, Nelson is perfect for the front desk! I showed the lady a picture of what shape I want my nails and even explained exactly how I want it but she still managed to make them uneven and crooked. They butchered my nails even after I told the nail technician it's bleeding and burning. 5 out of my 10 nails are injured. They didn't have the color I wanted so I chose something else and the technician did not inform me that it was a color that looks COMPLETELY different than what shows but by then I was really upset and frustrated so I gave in. I will be going elsewhere to do a color change. I'm giving it 3 stars because they are super friendly and they did a fantastic job on my friends nails I think I just got a noob tech. UPDATE: my thumb nail broke in less than a week. I called the salon to see if they'll bring me in and the gentlemen was rather unhelpful so I had to go somewhere else and pay an extra $40 to repair my nail and change my gel nail polish. read more

I truly appreciate the kindness and peace I feel every-time I come here to have my nails done. Today I went in for a pedicure and it was just the relaxation I needed. I got the LUX and my feet are so soft and nails look on point. You just really feel cared for at Mai and again, always have a positive experience here. When you come in this place is very nice and luxurious looking. The reception guy is awesome. He's very attentive. He remember to give me 10% off since it was my first visit. But I got my nails done.. Gel X... so pretty expensive -- about $125 ... 5/17 I got them done. By 5/24 two of them came off..... I'm not happy about that at all. Cadi is the best! Cadi pays close attention to detail. Everytime my cuticles are manicured with care and precision. I usually get French-Tip, but today I did Gel builder with Sea Shell gel polish.
