If you're looking for the best service look no further than Polished. The booking process was fast and easy and finding the place was fast and easy. Karen did an excellent job with my pedicure that left my feet soft and clean. She even used a scrub to exfoliate my legs. The place itself has a perfect & chill vibe with great amenities such as coffee, soft drinks, free street parking, great music and much more. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know.

I've been coming here for over a year now. I was looking for a local spot that does Russian manicures. There are 2 girls here. I always see Karen, who is the sweetest and very attentive. I can tell her exactly what I want (like if I want to go shorter or file more in a certain spot), and she listens and does just that. She's also able to help me decide when I don't know what color or style I'm going for. The place is also cute and there are coffee, sodas, water, and sweets available for clients.

I originally found Karen/Polished Nail Studio on Instagram and messaged her for an appointment and was happy to get a quick response with the exact date and time I was requesting. I went in for my appointment and was greeted by Karen who was ready to get me going. She had great music playing, candles lit everywhere which made the place smell amazing. The service she provided was amazing. Very detailed and took her time. You can tell she is an actual license professional. Definitely it your ordinary chop shop salon. Overall the place is a vibe. With only 2 pedi stations and 2 mani stations you literally feel like you are getting a customized and personalized experience just . I was glad to spend 2+ hours there and am looking forward to my next appointment already!

She made me feel welcomed since I messaged her to book an appointment. I was looking for someone to executive a fall look for my birthday nails and she nailed it. She took her time prepping my nails and doing the design I had requested. She was very pleasing to be around not like those nail salons that rush you while you're getting your nails done. All the refreshments are delicious as well. This is not a place you want to sleep on! Book now and you'll see what I'm raving about. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Russian structured gel manicure with Renata. You can tell that Renata is very passionate about her craft. I left with miniature works of art on my nails that I couldn't stop looking at. I did wait a few weeks before writing this review because I wanted to see how my nails held up with all the typing and frequent hand washing I do. Well it's safe to say that I'm very impressed. My nails still look flawless, so I'm very happy. The nail studio was very clean, which was the first thing I noticed and I had no issues finding parking which is always a plus!

Exceptional Service by Karen!!! Quality is great. Super clean!! I finally found a place where I can have a conversation with my nail lady. She doesn't care if I'm only doing mani pedi on all appointments now. I would get judged in other places when I don't buy all the bells and whistles. No judgement here. I've been coming here for over a year now. I was looking for a local spot that does Russian manicures. There are 2 girls here. I always see Karen, who is the sweetest and very attentive. I can tell her exactly what I want (like if I want to go shorter or file more in a certain spot), and she listens and does just that. I LOVED....LOVED how Karen did my nails! I have had acrylic nails for the last 35+ years. The last few years I have been putting gel on top of my acrylics, so I do not have to wait for my nails to dry. What Karen used for nails is similar to the acrylic and gel combination: it is called "builder gel". It is as strong as acrylic, but without the sharp smell and dust. It is similar to putting the gel polish, but stronger. I was skeptical about not doing acrylic after 35 years, but I was pleasantly surprised. My nails looked cleaner and polish was very shiny. I'm very happy with the results. I drove 30 miles each way from the valley to Pasadena to get my nails done and given how many nails turned out, I have no problem going to there every few weeks. The salon is very chic, cute , clean and trendy. I would highly recommend it! read more

Amazing nail salon in Pasadena. I've been here twice already for a structured gel manicure and a gel pedicure. The owner and Renata go above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable and have a lovely experience. This is my new go-to nail salon. Appointments are highly recommended since it's a small woman-owned shop. I loved my nails and had a wonderful time there, Highly recommend Renata (she is amazing). read more

What can I not say about Karen?! I found Karen desperate to save my breaking nails. I came to her with brittle and weak nails. After a couple sessions, my nails are stronger than ever and they always come out so freaking cute. She's amazing in both talent and a human. So many adorable good feelings about this place!! I got gel x and a pedi here after a long search of trying to find a new place where my nails wouldn't fall off after 2 weeks, polish wouldn't get dingy and pedi wouldn't chip .. ughh.. it's tough to find a great place in Pasadena but I finally found one!!! So happy I came in today and tried this little shop out right by my house. Karen the owner did my gel mani and pedi. Her little shop was very clean and nicely decorated. They offer coffee, drinks and snacks. She gave me a Russian manicure which I had never before heard of but my nails turned out fantastic! I found this studio off Yelp and decided book from the reviews and omg I am so happy! I booked my appointment and got a text from the owner, Karen confirming. I was so excited and today I came into the studio and I am beyond thrilled! Karen is such a delight to chat with and she did a beautiful job on my thin frail nails. I can't wait to see her again! This review is difficult to write because I gave this salon multiple chances and truly wanted to support them as a Pasadena local, but what started as disappointment over birthday nails turned into concerns about sanitation, professionalism, pricing, and customer treatment. Please consider looking at the photos of my nails an hour after they were done. I initially overlooked things because there was one employee in particular who was very kind and I kept hoping my experience would improve. Unfortunately, after several visits, I began noticing issues that became impossible to ignore. I observed sanitation and maintenance concerns that made me uncomfortable, including openings in walls with exposed plumbing, tools appearing to be reused between clients without proper visible sanitization, and a communal nail brush in the bathroom that was later used during service. This raised hygiene concerns for me personally. My birthday appointment was the turning point. I specifically requested Serena. During removal, my nails chipped significantly and I felt the service was rushed. I requested nail strengthening treatment and a simple French tip, but the final result was thick and not what I had asked for. When I politely said I was unhappy with the outcome, the response immediately became uncomfortable. Cameras were repeatedly referenced even though I was simply discussing the result of my nails and not disputing what happened. I was told that whatever I chose next "better be right" because they did not want me returning unhappy later. The repeated references to surveillance felt unnecessary and unrelated to the issue I was trying to address. There were also concerns about pricing. The posted pricing showed removal and regular polish charges, however I was charged more than expected and left confused about the final total. The polish reportedly applied "free of charge" did not feel free when the overall bill had already increased. After payment there was little acknowledgment, no effort to resolve concerns, and the interaction felt abrupt. When my husband later tried to discuss the pricing and service concerns, the conversation escalated further. Cameras were referenced again, we were directed to contact the owner, a phone number provided was unreachable, and the situation became increasingly hostile rather than solution focused. At that point it stopped being about the money and became about customer treatment. I gave this place multiple chances because there were staff members I genuinely liked and wanted to support. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed, uncomfortable, and disappointed. I always love my nail visits to Polished Nail Studio with Renata. I initially came with another design in mind and after doing it, I did not end up liking it. Renata was willing to remove it and suggested a different take on the design which came out to be these beautiful ribbons! She has a variety of rhinestone options but I opted for red.
