We had popcorn ceiling removed before moving into our new home and had 2 days to find a cleaning service that a) worked on Saturdays and b) was also available to work on the 4th of July holiday. I called many, many places and Maidly was the only one who was able to accommodate. I was very impressed by Isabel and her team. They arrived as scheduled, and very thorough during the initial walk-through even pointing out things they would clean that I didn't think of! They got into all the nooks and crannies the popcorn dust got into and left the house sparkling. Best of all, they were able to do the job in about 3.5 - 4 hours which was 8 hours less than the projected time the admin team initially gave me (5 bed/3.5 bath). That's because Isabel was very efficient in directing her girls on what to do and oversaw their work to ensure it was done correctly. We have wanted to hire a cleaning service for awhile, but due to Covid we never moved forward. Once we were more comfortable, we reached out to a few different companies and we were the most impressed with Maidly's customer service and their scope of work! Receiving an estimate over the phone was also super helpful for scheduling purposes. We had our initial deep cleaning almost 2 weeks ago and are now moving forward with scheduled cleanings! When I got home in the afternoon, I was so impressed with how clean everything looked and felt and and their attention to detail. Our previous cleaning lady was getting very sloppy. I had to clean after she cleaned. She broke several items too and refused to apologize. It was time to change. We signed on with Maidly from a friend's recommendation. Although the Maidly sales manager (Mary) never showed up at our house to preview and quote, she did a detailed orientation over the phone with us. I was at first skeptical, but the first-time trial went great. The team (Aleyda and Luca) was efficient, pleasant, courteous, hard working and provided excellent services. The trial was able to determine our ongoing total pricing as well. Billing came from a centralized Maidly office after the cleaning was performed. From there on, we had a few other teams that substituted the initial team but we still prefer Aleyda and Luca so they became our permanent crew. We have had the services now since October 2023 and have been very happy. When we first signed on, Maidly did not have good customer support. Their customer service # was (and still is) just an answering service so they couldn't provide any customer service solutions. But several months ago, I noticed that they added staffing behind their email support and the responses have been very prompt!! Great job Maidly! read more

I'm pretty sure we got scammed by this company. We got a reasonable quote for a deep cleaning because they said they need to do a deep cleaning before they start regular cleanings. Our 2b/2br apartment is brand new and has never been lived in-- new refrigerator, new oven, new windows and blinds--we didn't need any of that cleaned. The crew spent over 10 hours in the apartment...? We went in a few times to check-in and the two-person crew said they were almost done, every time. After 10+ hours, they finally left, and the apartment looked good, but there is NO reason it should have taken more than 2/3 hours. A manager from the company called after the cleaning to tell us they wanted to charge us double the amount they quoted. We had to argue about it, which was unpleasant. We settled on a price that was higher than the quote, but not quite double, because we got the feeling the crew wouldn't get paid if we didn't. It was really weird. There was also some sort of answering service, that made the whole thing feel shady. I'm not sure, ultimately, if the crew was stalling on purpose or if management tells them to do that to charge more than the quote. read more

Pros: Nice people. Did a great job on Bathroom. Realllllly good. Didn't skip any areas...thought of cleaning places I hadn't even looked at. Cleaned up after themselves. Scheduling was good in that they rearranged to fit my schedule. Thorough, certainly were not in a hurry...took their time. Cons: Late by 20 minutes or so from the range they told me..it was 9-10 am...they showed at 1020 or so; Couldn't speak hardly any English, very difficult to communicate; They gave a $210-360 range for a one time deep clean, and it ended up, of course, at $360 for a one bedroom, very small apartment, I fully expected it to be quite a bit less (one bathroom, very small kitchen, one bedroom, and a front room). They were very slow getting through everything (...but they were there for around 5 hours the two of them...I didn't think it should've taken that long). read more

I recently scheduled a deep cleaning of my town home. It was in desperate need and I had not hired any housecleaning services in several months. I was shocked when I got home and walked into my now sparkling clean house! It was almost unrecognizable, team Isabel did an outstanding job! UPDATE: PET OWNERS BEWARE I'm updating this to 1 star. I signed up for weekly cleanings and all was going well until today. My dog escaped and the way I found out was through his microchip when someone found him (thankfully!!). Maidly never notified me that he got out. I am so pleased with the services from Maidly. Would definitely hire them again in the future! Customer service arranged for a cleaning team to come to our house ASAP (within 1 week) since I am 8 months pregnant and our house was in dire need of a deep cleaning before my mother-in-law moves in and baby arrives. Communication via Yelp messaging was very seamless and the initial phone call communication was professional and upfront about the billing costs. No surprise fees or gimmicks. Cleaning service team deserves an A+. Two cleaners (husband and wife) showed up right on time and worked for 5 hours, straight through lunch with no breaks. I felt a little bad, but at the same time, I think they knew they were on the clock ($80/hour) and just wanted to finish up to not charge us for the downtime while they ate. The couple only spoke Spanish with limited English, but luckily I knew a little bit of elementary Spanish to communicate with them. I really appreciated their attention to detail: lifting everything to dust and put it right back, scrubbing down our bathroom (toilets and tubs), cleaning out all the gunk in our toaster oven, and even re-organizing a bit to clear up counter/floor space. By the time they were done, our entire house was spotless and more aesthetically pleasing. I can now breathe a sigh of relief. I had a good experience having Maidly clean my house one time prior to the birth of our second daughter. The two cleaners that came to our house were Angela and Lina. They did a great job and were very thorough. They were both very friendly and polite, but one of them didn't seem to speak English (or she just let Angela do all the talking), and Angela seemed a little limited with her English. This did lead to a couple miscommunications, but all in all there weren't many obstacles. They did most of the things they were supposed to do, however, it was a part of the agreement that they'd wash the dishes, and even though I did most of my dishes before they got there, I forgot about a couple bottles left in the sink, and they ended up just leaving them on the sink. I was asked to do a walk through and sign a form before they left, so I was able to point out some things I wanted them to go over again, but I missed the dishes on the sink. It's a lot of pressure to look at such a large area before they leave! And the form says that if you sign it you are agreeing that everything is satisfactory, but I think it's natural that people are going to notice things later, so I think that policy should change. Angela and Lina were very receptive to the things I pointed out though. In addition, they did a great job on the areas they did clean, including they got rid of a bunch of what I thought were stains on our shower glass. I ended up being charged what I had agreed on, and it was all done electronically so it was seamless. I would use them again based on the work that was done, however, the price was a little steep. I think I would probably try some other places first for up to $100 less and see if they do a good job as well. That additional amount adds up! Mary A was the one who I was in contact with to make the appointment, pay for everything and when I needed some clarification about how the day of works, I gave her a call. It is easiest to message her because when calling you have to go through a receptionist or someone who connects you to Mary, and she's not always available. It is kind of a long process, especially when you have a quick question. I'm still giving 5 stars because the two staff that worked at my house were nice, did a good job cleaning, and were respectful of my house, daughter and two dogs. You can't go wrong choosing Maidly, as long as it's not too far out of your price range! read more

Update. After posting my review we received a call and an email from the company. They apologized for never sending the check and explained that they had forgotten to "remind" the accounting folk to send the check. We have now received the check which was per their policy of a single cleaning refund. Evidently we are still not their kind of customer nor did they offer (ever) to redo the omitted parts of the deep cleaning. They also asked that I please remove this post since it might make it harder to get new business. That would be a reasonable request in my opinion had they not told us they could not redo the cleaning or continue cleaning since they had lost 2 crews and could not keep up with their existing customers. I still hope they find a way to be profitable and that they help folks who need help with cleaning. Since I am pretty sure they will read this, all we and I think most customers expect is for service companies to get it right most of the time and when something goes wrong, and the company agrees there was a failing - jump in and happily make it right. Imagine what a different review this would have been had they apologized (which they did!), sent two people out (which they did not do) to do the missed parts and left a $9.99 flower arrangement gift from Safeway and a simple note appreciating our business. Our account generated over $5,000 in annual revenue and over $30,000 in gross sales for them and would have kept going for years to come. When I owned my own local small business any customer who stayed with me for over five years and who paid me $5,000 a year every year sure got a ton of my attention when he or she was unhappy that I messed up and there were certainly times that a customer was right! For my business it was so much cheaper to keep a long time customer than it was to go find a new one. And, as has always been true for local businesses, your existing customers are your best advertising (or your worst). read more
