People at the front of the house are hit or miss. Food is mostly consistent in its quality and flavors. The drinks are also consistently good. It's been rare that my guests and I have had any negative feedback. Even during DineLA, when many restaurants become subpar in food and service (aka, Zaytinya in Culver City), Girl & the Goat maintain its quality and respectful treatment of customers. I really enjoy this place.

Ordered: Naan & Dips Chickpea Fritters Goat Liver Mousse Shrimp and Crispy Veg Salad Galbi-style Short Rib Pork Belly Noodles Lamb Curry Sunrise Spritz The server and the sommelier were awesome! The biggest bummers were: 1. We waited what felt like almost 1 hour for our shank. The server said it was "getting plated" at the 30 mins mark and waited much longer and finally decided to just cancel it. 2. The pricing is way too high for the size of the plates. 3. The food was good but not excellent. For example, the pork belly noodles were just a glorified Japchae. 4. Parking. I mean it is.. Arts district. You can spend 1 hour finding street parking or paying an arm and a leg for a lot. The ambiance is modern but warm. I've been a few times but this might be the last for a while.

Majordomo has been uber-chef David Chang's flagship restaurant in Los Angeles since its 2018…read moreopening, yet this was my first visit, for weekend brunch. In my defense, I have frequented several of his numerous restaurants in New York (some now closed) and Las Vegas. Majordomo's location is rather odd--north of Chinatown in a non-commercial area full of warehouses, some refurbished, like Majordomo's. This part of Naud St. doesn't even have curbs or sidewalks. There are 2 large parking lots, one for Majordomo guests (not free), plus street parking. Nearby is Los Angeles State Historic Park, so street parking is precious during later brunch hours. Majordomo has a pretty large airy warehouse interior dining area, plus an equally spacious covered patio. I arrived early to see a staffer debugging the area with some sort of powered zapper. I looked over the online brunch menu quite thoroughly, only to find the actual menu is a bit different. I was here to use an expiring Chase Sapphire Reserve dining credit, so I ordered quite a bit. 1) Kimino Momo sparkling peach soda. Came in a bottle, made in Japan, refreshing and not too sweet. I looked up the brand to see if it was owned by David Chang--it's not. 2) Bing Bun Basket (3 pc). Nice Korean version of a Parker House roll. Served with cream cheese/ricotta/butter with chili jam/honey/dulce de leche. Delish. 3) Corn Pancakes. A stack of 3 served with maple butter syrup and an herbed creme fraiche. Nice crunchy edges, slight corn taste, topped with corn flakes. Unique. 4) Crispy Bing. A flattened bing bread fried crisp and topped with smoked pork shoulder, avocado crema and another spicy red crema, plus a fried egg. This seemed to have replaced the croque madame on the online menu. The bread was rather tough, but tasty. 5) Steak and Egg Crispy Rice. My fave dish. Pieces of steak, slices of pickled daikon and jalapenos, scallions and sesame over crispy rice with mushroom broth and a fried egg on top. Mix it all together for a delish savory delight. 6) Smoked Rack of Pork Ribs. I got half a rack. Slow smoked/roasted to a salmon pink colour. Tender and tasty with sweet, vinegary and (not too) spicy BBQ sauce. The online menu listed 2 desserts, choco pot de creme and honey pie. I would have liked to try the honey pie but was told this was not possible. Overall a nice, tasty and substantial Korean fusion brunch. I noticed that at opening, 100% of the guests were Asian, then later decreased to maybe 95%. The staff is a potpourri, service was good.

There is both an indoor and somewhat outdoor area, so if you want something, a little quieter and high-end or more of a sports bar, they have both. I love the twinkly lights outside too. The service was fantastic. They were all efficient. The restaurant was basically empty, but the man who "served" us was so weird and rude... he was acting as if he was extremely busy and the way he was speaking to me from the moment I walked in was extremely rude and lowkey aggressive. I ordered sparkling rose and he brought me what looked like prosecco- I said is this rose? He literally acted like I came in there every day annoying him or something... it was truly strange. He insisted it was rose (it wasn't rose colored ) Anyway it wasn't the rose that was the problem, it was the way this weirdo was acting. It's hard to explain it bc it was so weird but I was SO UNCOMFORTABLE I insisted we leave. By the way, we'd been there for five minutes. We went to superba instead and it was such a better vibe. Like night and day. Would not recommend dining in at running goose.

My friend just flew in for a day because his relative had forgot her passport and needed to travel to Korea, so we stopped here. He missed a few meetings, a vet appointment and other things, but also saved the day, otherwise his relative wouldn't have been able to make it to Korea. While here, they ordered a salad with cherries and pecans that was pretty amazing. I think that may have been one of the better salads I've eaten. In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. My friend also ordered a pork chop, and it was an amazing cut, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy and everything you could ever want in a bone in pork chop. They also cut the entire piece for you and scraped every last bit off of the bone too. The service is really attentive. They come by your table a lot to ensure you have everything you need. The ambiance is a bit dim in lighting which sets a nice mood. And the place just happens to be dog friendly too. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I didn't wanna intrude on everyone else's meals. However, if you come here, definitely try the salad with cherries and the venison burger or the pork chop!

Been wanting to try Dunsmoor for months and I finally had my chance. The hype is 90% real…read more First off - yes, the cornbread is amazing. Warm, sweet, great flavor, buttery and crispy. Absolute perfection. Next time, I'm ordering two. The pork and green chile stew was also very tasty. It was tender, hearty, and felt super cozy. It wasn't, however, something I'd absolutely HAVE to order again (the cornbread is). The Carolina rice was the one thing I didn't thoroughly enjoy. It was a little too seafood-forward for my palate and not something I'd want to have again. My entree was the porkchop with a side of their buttery chive mashed potatoes. The porkchop was the best porkchop I've ever had in my life. Ever. Cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned. I went a little feral and downright chewed at the bone. It was so, so good. Dessert was the sticky date pudding and that was also very delicious. Service was friendly but a little slow. All in all, I'm absolutely looking forward to coming back. I've got their ribeye on my radar for my next time.

Note: I think it is more difficult to do walk ins now, so be prepared to fight for a reservation online instead WHAT WE'VE ORDERED IN THE PAST (* denotes personal favorite/would order again) APPETIZERS - Baby Albacore: nice bright dish to start the night! I really enjoyed the fried shallots on top. - *Cornbread: a must get! The chile helps cut the richness of the dish so it's not so one dimensional. Butter and honey -- what more can you ask for? - *Cherokee Tomato Caesar: I was surprised by this dish. Four tomatoes used are so delicious and meaty and the dressing coats it perfectly. The little anchovy in the center of the tomato adds to the savoriness of the dish. It's so simple, yet delicious. - *Carolina Gold Rice: a table favorite!! The seafood was abundant and everyone enjoyed each bite. The rice was al dente and not mushy at all, but helped meld all the flavors together. Everyone agreed we would reorder. MAIN - *Beef Ribeye: delicious. It's good to share because of the richness of the ribeye plus the bone marrow. I personally could not eat the whole ribeye by myself. Medium rare is the way to go. - *Mushroom Crusted Pork Chop: cooked well and was delicious! Not dry whatsoever. The crust on the pork chop was great. SIDES - *Dressed Lettuce: their salad which is a necessity to have vegetables at the table. The dressing is citrusy and bright, which helps cut the richness of the food. DESSERT - *Sticky Date Pudding: this does take some time to make since it's in a skillet. But when it comes out, it's so decadent with the ice cream. I tell myself that I'm healthy eating it since it's made with dates. - Chocolate Cake: dense, rich, dark chocolate, not too sweet. I love dark chocolate so I was a fan of this cake. We even got it to go and it still tasted good a few days after the meal. It's pretty dense for a cake and I really only need a few bites -- so its a nice way to end the meal. If 2-3 people: recommend 2-3 app/sides + 1 main protein If 4-5 people: 3-5 app/sides + 1 main protein I think it's a great celebratory meal. Everyone that I've come with has stated they would go come back -- especially since the menu does change seasonally. PARKING: street parking; there is usually some around the corner and down the block; no more than 5 minutes walking
