I decided not to order another one because it wouldn't have got there before we were done. they offered credit to some in the group but kept it hush hush so some of us were out in the cold. I was actually surprised and pleased with the Main Event. I think it's better than Dave and Buster's. They definitely have a better selection of games and the food was pretty good also. The gentleman that waited on me was very friendly and was patient while I was making my selection. read more

Frankly, it's a shiny turd. It looks all bright and flashy and fun, but once you get past all the literal bells and whistles, you realize you walk out of there with a lot less cash in your pocket than you intended. They have a lot of different packages for birthday parties and they tease you with things like a $5 or $10 game card included for each participant, but each of their video games, while upscale, costs around $1.50, so that really only translates to playing a few games. We played laser tag and it was no comparison to other local laser tag businesses. The equipment was cheap, had to hold the laser with both hands, game often interrupted by vocals coming from the pack, the person who launched our game said, "watch the video for instructions" but by the time we got suited up and able to pay attention, the video was half over so you had to figure out how the lasers worked on your own. The arena was pretty basic, a bunch of barriers and some florescent highlights splashed about here and there. Where they really get you is in the food prices. You can't bring in your own food and their prices aren't very reasonable. Sure, it's a fun place, but don't expect to feel as though you got satisfactory value from the money you'll end up spending. read more

Ok time for kids but food service is awful. Food tastes fine; however, the place seems to purposely understaff to save on labor costs. Came here day after Christmas with family. Service took forever. And orders were wrong. Server apologized and said told me they were short staffed. Unfortunately, that's Management's problem - not mine. Their decision to save on labor costs cost them a customer - and a lousy review on Yelp. But hey, they saved on labor costs. Lol. read more

This review is meant specifically regarding the "Fun" leagues. I don't know if this is true across all Main Events, but this one has NO CLUE how to run a bowling alley. We have a different problem every Thursday. The "fun games and prizes" have been limited to the "red pin" strike chance where we win a free appetizer with a strike on a red pin. It's only ever come up during one game on 3 out of 7 weeks so far. One night, there was some kind of sticky crud on the approach and out tables and floor was dirty. The first week, they had out names in wrong and it took them the better part of an hour to finally get the line-up right. The lanes themselves have not been oiled properly yet. I could roll a cube down the lane and it would STILL hook off into the gutter. I also signed up early and pre-paid to get the free $50 game card, and still don't have it either. The "FUN leagues" are anything but... HIGHLY discourage! read more

The past times I've come here I've had relatively good experiences. It might've been just because it was a Sunday and usually they're a little more busy on the weekends. When we got to Main Event we signed up immediately for a bowling lane and were put on the wait. About 10 minutes later we got our text that the lane was ready and we went to the bowl desk and were told it would be another 20 minutes that we would have to wait and were not given any reason as to why we had to wait. Finally they put us into a lane about 15 minutes later. After bowling we signed up for laser tag at 5:00 we waited about 20 minutes and lined up at the laser tag area around 4:50. An employee brought this huge party over and lined them all up in front of the others waiting for the 5:00 slot. They let them in at 5:00 instead of the whole group of people that had signed up for 5. Now everyone that signed up for the 5 had to wait for the next session. None of the employees seemed to even know what was going on or what they were doing and didn't seem to be worried about it. It seemed that everything was very unorganized. read more

Bar is not full but seemed overwhelmed waiters and waitresses the same took 30 minutes to get a drink which was absurd given the fact they were staffed enough to handle the amount of customers they had... Had a good time but it was so crowded there was a line for every game. With the unlimited play option people keep playing instead of giving someone else a turn. I refused to wait 2 hours just to bowl however the kiddos seemed to enjoy laser tag. read more

My granddaughter celebrated her 16th birthday with some school friends at Main Event. We did not schedule a party but we were able to have tables put together in the cafe by the bar. There were 12 teens and 4 adults. There was a worker named Christine that that helped us out. She helped get drinks and order some pizza. She also explained how the games worked and how to reserve a lane to bowl. I really loved the energy from her and how she treated us. Can't wait to come back some time and have fun again! read more

Took my kids out for some fun last night at main event. I've been here bowling with some friends before but the kids really wanted to do the arcade so we got a game card and started playing. We all had a blast! The games were all really fun and I'll admit my son did beat me on the basketball games.. But I've never seen an arcade with a beer pong game before so that was interesting and actually a lot of fun! Oh yeah, the pizza was pretty great as well. When we were leaving they were already asking when we could come back so I'm sure it won't be long. Great family fun at a decent price. read more

Absolute worst dining experience of my life. We reserved a large table for a surprise bday party at 7. Took 20 minutes to get a water, 45 minutes to get a coors light. When the orders started coming out an hour after we all ordered, multiple orders were wrong. The entire table had finished eating entrees when our appetizer finally came out. After complaining, the manager comped the appetizer. No story isn't over, the bathrooms were flooded so the entire place had one family restroom to use so obviously there was a ridiculously long line. Nope still not done, they ran out of limes, large beer cups, and then the machine broke that divided up tickets? The server could not tell me my total but wanted me to give her my debit card? Uhhhh no wth?! We waiting 45 minutes to check out. The eating experience alone was THREE AND A HALF HOURS! Didn't even get a chance to check out the gaming part everyone was too frustrated by that point and besides comping the appetizer the manager never came back to apologize. I will not be returning.. This place is never going to make it without some HUGE changes. First of all the beer and drink prices are absolutely ridiculous. Happy hour doesn't have a single beer choice either. We had a party of four and wanted to bowl on a Thursday night. We were required to pay $29 for one hour up front. Okay, no big deal, but the game shuts off in the middle of your game at one hour and you can't continue to play if there is a waiting list??!!! WTF!! We had a LARGE bar tab and ordered food and we were not allowed to continue playing. The kids behind us weren't even drinking age. STUPID business decision! Secondly, the service is HORRIBLE! This place opened Black Friday and without some major changes in service and pricing I doubt seriously it'll still be here next Black Friday. It's near my house, so I was thrilled to have a close bowling alley. I have zero intention of returning and I don't recommend it to anyone. Go somewhere else. read more

This is definitely a fun place for kid, however their $7.00 for all the bowling you want is very deceptive. They shut off our lane in the middle of the second game and said we would have to wait 45 minutes because of all the people who had advance reservations to bowl. After 5-10 minutes of waiting we noticed that a number of lanes were not being used. I returned to the service desk, and they let us play another game, then soon after the next game was started they shut it down again. Still there were several unoccupied lanes. Everyone would have been happier if they had been allowed to continue playing. We will NOT go back to Main Event. read more

This place is an adult's playground. Glo-bowling with the entire back wall covered in giant projector screens allowing you to watch multiple games at once, two floors of laser tag, 9 pool tables, great open areas, a mini ropes course, and many arcade games. It's really as good as it gets. I have been to multiple Dave and Buster's and Gameworks, but they hold nothing to Main Event. For $18 you have an evening filled with entertainment (unlimited glo-bowling, laser tag, and billiards). They closed at 2 AM when we were there on a Friday. Awesome place! read more

not impressed. we had our first visit to The Main Event today. we were looking forward to it very much. arrived and sat down to eat only to find the waitress didnt seem to know anything about the menu. she brought drinks and when we ordered she told us tge kitchen was out of the 2 selections we had made??? why would she have not told us what they were out of when she took the drink orders? there were not many people playing and i guess its due to the service overall. the place is new and pretty but employees cant answer questions about the food or games. they are going to have to step it up to stay in business. read more

My husband, 10-year young grandson and I went early to the OKC location last Friday evening. We dined before playing games. The salmon was just okay, the green beans were a bit tough and plastic in flavor, the rice was very bland, the pizza was just okay, and the soft pretzel was delicious. Little Mike's does a much better job, as does even Sonic on the smothered tots as they're stingy on the toppings and they're just dry. We were set up for the gravity (ropes) course allowing just 10 minutes prior to laser tag. By the time you're suited up and get up there, you've got about 5 minutes before having to rush down, un-suit and get into laser tag. Do not schedule events so close together. Lastly, the $9.95 unlimited games for 3-hours card is almost useless. It doesn't work with most games, some that it is supposed to work with will be out of order, and you're limited on how many swipes you get with a game. It began to get really crowded at about 8 PM and then you have to wait in line for EVERYTHING. read more

Service was not good. I guess maybe they are still in training bc everyone seemed to be running around. Sat down at a table, several severs passed by but did t stop. Bowled after, got a free hour because they were unorganized. Had to find a server to get food and drinks. Food was less than par, party platter. Drinks were taken away before we were finished with them. Pretty expensive day overall. Don't know if we will be back anytime soon. read more

We called twice before heading out to Main Event last night to get an idea of the wait time for bowling. Each time we we're told 1 hour only to arrive to a 3 hour wait. The employee said those times are given from the sales office not at the actual Main Event location. read more

First time to visit as a guest of a birthday party. Bowling lanes and Laser Tag are pretty cool for the kids. Although not too keen on liquor bar for parents to get toasted while kids are playing. A group of us went last night to celebrate some birthdays. We had both friends and family come with their kids. We first ate in the restaurant with about 10 people. I was pretty worried about the service since their were so many bad reviews, but our server (Bryce) was great. The food was great too. We had reserved two lanes for bowling at 9:00 for one hour. I stood in the line for about 10 minutes and then got shoes for everyone and was given our lane numbers. We got over to the lanes and another server (Morgan) came over promptly to greet us and take drink orders. I set up both lanes for each bowler (5 people on each lane) and we started right at 9pm, possibly a couple minutes after. I noticed there was a timer on the games so I was quite shocked when our game shut off around 9:50. Some people might complain that it's only 10 minutes, but when you're paying THAT MUCH for an hour of bowling, and then get shorted 10 minutes, I was pretty mad. The kids didn't even get to finish one game, I think we got to about 7 or 8 frames. After bowling was cut short, we went to play a few arcade games. We were mainly playing the hoops games, but most of them were not working properly. I think I scanned my players card at least 7-8 times and the basketballs were stuck behind the barrier. This really upset my nephew since that's all he wanted to play. Each swipe was $1.60/each so it was basically wasted money that I probably won't get back. Hopefully some of these issues can be resolved. I will probably return because I like to give most everything a second chance. read more

This place sucks! It's just like chuck-e-cheese but parents just drop there kids off and leave them to run wild. And they say you can order beer but good luck tracking a waiter down. we have been there on the opening day. paid $69 for 3 players for unlimited play ( until close) but after first hour they shutted down our lane and asked us get out of there without respect. that guy said there are too many people on the waiting list now so we have to stop playing and get back on the list and wait for the next available lanes..also waited for so so long to get food service.that is really suck. heritage lanes and windsor lanes are the best places for bowling in OKC. never come back to this place. read more

Reading through some of these peoples reviews cracks me up! What jerks! Anyway. Iv'e been to Main event 5 times now since they opened. Three times with my kids. Once on a date and once with my adult friends. We all had a blast every single time! Guess what. Two times we had to wait hours before we could bowl too. Thats how first come first serve works in any business. If they are on a three hour wait when u get there. Get there earlier! Not rocket science. The staff have been very nice and helpful every time ive been. I have personly talked to three diffrent managers on three visits. All were very nice! My suggustion is to visit monday nights when there is no school holidays. Best value with their Monday night madness promo. If you dont like to wait. I would say go on a monday through thurs. Ive been twice on friday and saturday. Most anoying thing on those days are all the other customers acting like jerks. Been on two monday nights so far that were great and a thursday! Didnt wait for anything on the thuresday night. Over all this place is awesome! Ill be bringing my kids here every chance i get and coming with friends all the time! Best value in town. Drink prices are good. Selection af beer is awesome. Laser tag is a blast! Blows Dave abd busters out of the water! So if you dont want to wait, go to dave and busters or chucke cheese! Took my grandson on 5/25/2017 at 3:10PM and paid $30 to put on a game card (cost an extra $1 for the card). He went off to play and I sit down to order food. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and a kids pizza. After we ate and I was ready to pay, I said I wanted the $20 fun card for $24.95. Oops, he already rung it up and I was out of luck, even after asking him twice. See, you pay $24.95 for food and you get a $20 card to play games. But if you don't say that's what you want upfront, they may try to cheat you. Didn't like that one bit and after I thought about it on the way home and called the manager and told him of my experience. He said it shouldn't have happened and he would talk to the bartender. He also said he would have a gift card waiting for me. It's probably still there but it left such a bad taste in my mouth by someone too lazy to change the bill (I even tipped the guy) and get screwed to the tune of $20, I'm not going back unless my grandson just has to visit that place. The attitude from the bartender was "buyer beware". I don't treat my customers that way as I don't have the guts to look at them eye to eye with the attitude of rules are rules, so I can't help you, but I sure can pocket your money. read more

I came up there on Sunday afternoon for my brothers birthday and I walked up to the bar and heather greeted me and asked me what I would like, "dos equis salt and lime with a side of Bloody Mary mix." Ok have it right out. So I stand there for about 10 min no kidding and she cashes four people out and then makes a couple drinks for the well. I'm a server/bartender so I understand being a little busy, but she then looks up at me and says hey sweetie what could I get for you??? I look around for a second waiting on Ashton kutcher to pop out and then I look at her and I'm like yeah the same thing I ordered about 10 minutes ago the dos equis salt and lime and a side of Bloody Mary mix. Then boom light bulb kicks in and she's like oh yeah sorry about that. Then a guy walks up to the other side of the well and orders a beer with salt and lime. Tell me why she then pours his beer and cashes him out then gets my beer. 15 min standing around at the bar and I finally get my drink. other than that awesome place!! read more

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!! Tonight was my first time and my last time at main event! The games were not that good, Dave and Busters is way better. When we went to get our prizes the machine said I had a certain amount of points and then when I got up to the counter they said I had a different amount. Their employees were not friendly. Our friends went to redeem their points and the points on the shelf for the selected item said 875, but the cashier said it was 1020 for the item. My friend explained that the item was posted as 875. The cashier had someone go check and the man said he didn't know why it was labeled that way and that it was wrong and that the total was 1400 points. They wouldn't honor it or would let us pay the difference. We went and took our photo and our photo got stuck in the machine you couldn't really here the people on the photo booth telling you the instructions. We will not be back and we will tell all of our friends not to waste their time. WAIST OF MONEY!!!! read more

Well if you are going to eat here, you asked for it! It took us just short of 20 minutes to get our drinks. Another almost 10 to get ice for the "iced" tea. The floors were nasty as no one would clean them. Our server, while nice, barely spoke and just took forever to do anything. The hostess just stared at us, let us walk into the dining room, ask if we seat ourselves, and when we were told she would and we walked back over to her, just stared at us till I said we would like to eat. She actually answered "ok" and kept standing there. When I asked if she sat us, she said "oh" and grabbed two menus when there was 4 of us. As this is a place for kids, you would think there would be kids menus, but no. Our food, three pizzas and some tacos took over 30 minutes to show up. The pizzas were good. Not great but nothing bad about them. The tacos were just plain grilled chicken with some toppings on them, and very small. Next time I think we will eat elsewhere first. Especially when it cost $50 for all that, $6 of it being two drinks. read more
