I've been going here for a few years, and I love this place! Order the veggie burger for something healthy - it is surprisingly good. The buttermilk pancakes with maple butter are very good. They do omelets very well - make sure to get a biscuit rather than toast. And if you don't order biscuits, get a couple to go and put some local honey on them. The side of brussels sprouts is also quite good. They have cold brew coffee now, and it's really a nice meal. The downside is the outside seating during Covid. It's unattractive, which detracts from the experience, and too crowded for my comfort since it isn't really outside but inside thick plastic. We had breakfast here for the first time yesterday and it was exactly what I had hoped...delicious! I had their breakfast special of scrambled egg omelette with Brussels sprouts, tomatoes and cheddar cheese on top of their famous biscuits with hashbrowns. The omelette was perfect and the veggies were very fresh. The biscuit was very dense but fluffy at the same time. The hashbrowns stole the show! They were the best I ever had! I loved the charred outer crust. It had a nice smokey flavor as if cooked in a smoker or on a grill. The coffe was also the best ever because they make it using a French press. I also bought a cookie to go...it was a whole wheat chocolate chip cookie...tasted best warm. We will definitely be back to try more menu items...maybe for lunch. read more

I went there with my Brother (from the left coast), my Mother, and Nephew on Sunday. My Brother is a vegetarian and found this place on line. He and my Mother went there on 9 December 18 and enjoyed it. So we went there on 16 December. My Nephew LOVES Eggs Benedict (as it his favorite brunch food). He ordered it and agreed with a previous post that their is something in the Hollandaise sauce that taste bitter. He could not figure out what the ingredient was that made it taste bitter? Both my Nephew and me had their Bloody Mary's ($14) but because they only have a beer and wine license they make their BM's with Sake (not vodka). The server was forth right in telling us that up front. I have traveled half way around the world and am open to trying new things. So I ordered one. About half way through my Nephew's he stated that if I did not want to finish mine he would. I drank about 60% of mine and offered him the rest. He refused it. IMO their BM mix is good, but the Sake does NOT work (at least to our taste) BTW although Sake is known as "Rice Wine " it is technically a beer. As wine is made from fruit, and beers are made from grain. Rice is a grain. so technically Sake is a beer. Additionally, it is the first time that I did NOT eat the entire $14 waffle. Not that is was so big, but, I did not like the taste of the their batter. I will NOT be going back. It may be a GREAT place for Millennials with eclectic taste but it is not for me. Looked for a different breakfast venue Put our name for wait list on the road. Arrived at restaurant and received message that our table was ready and to check in with host. Line for that, but we were told that there was a 10minute wait. Told hostess that I was texted that our table was ready. She checked her tablet and proceeded to show us to a table. A server came to our table about 3-5 minutes later and told us of specials and asked if we wanted a beverage first. We ordered coffee and placed our orders. Coffee was a long wait and only arrived after a reminder shortly before order. Both of our eggs were overdone,mine sunny side and my husband's over easy. Edible but disappointing. This is my second time here, this time for "egg in a hole" - a childhood favorite made new by being made with fresh, buttery brioche, with a side of hash browns which have an added sweetness made with carrots!! It was great! The server could not have been sweeter, she was attentive and warm, and remembered my mom from another restaurant she goes to! My mom got a BLTA which was enormous and looked delicious. That came with a side of homemade pickles and kale coleslaw - YUM. They were offering a deal to get three pastries, which we of course took her up on. The bag smells delicious and looks fresh but we are too full to eat more. As we were leaving, they were slicing up butter... Amazing! Best brunch on the North Fork. It's a tiny spot in an unassuming building, but seriously, they've got the goods. I came here with two friends and my boyfriend, and we definitely made a dent in our wallets, but it made a day of tasting wine so much easier on very full tummies. I had the breakfast sandwich, my boyfriend had macaroni and cheese with shrimp and crab, my friends had the BLT and the biscuit and egg breakfast, but we also ordered a waffle to split. How can you possibly brunch without at least one waffle, especially one that comes with fresh berries and amazing maple butter? There was 45 minute wait to be served brunch, even with reservations. There was no apology for the wait. The first round of coffee was weak. second a little better. The lobster of the lobster benedict was terrible. I thought it would be part of the Benedict, but instead it was thrown on the plate with no spicing or sauce. Hard to believe that I went all the way to Long Island to dine on bad-tasting lobster. The hash brown paddy was room temperature, had an unpleasant texture and was practically tastelesss. The biscuits are phenomenal--especially when there's some honey butter lathered on one. I've been here about 3 or 4 times in the past couple of months and it's always been great and inspired me to bake my own biscuits at home! The biscuit sampler is a bargain at $10 for 4 biscuits! And the main road bennie has also been fantastic. One thing I would warn against is ordering the smoothies--not bad, but definitely nothing special. But the mediocrity of them certainly isn't enough to bring down the score because of how strong everything else is. Great staff and a cute place! read more

Complete heaven!! This is my special and most favorite place to drive out too to have a great breakfast or lunch.. Wonderful staff and charming quaint setting with that urban and farmhouse feel, it just relaxes you. The owner Marissa really puts love into everything that comes out of this place. Clean eating is a habit I try to keep with and this hits that note 10 times over.. We were really looking forward to trying Main Road Biscuit. We went on a Sunday morning - the restaurant had a fair amount of people seated but certainly not crowded. It took about 15 minutes to get our coffee and although we were ready to order, our waitress did not take our order. At the same time, another large table was also seated and did not receive any menus, water, etc. Prompting them to ask a staff member if there was waitress service vs. ordering at the counter. At this point, my family and I requested the check (at the counter) our coffees and headed out. Coffee was good. Service is lacking. Hopefully there will be some improvement. read more

We saw all the good reviews on Yelp so decided to order the fried chicken for lunch then go back for breakfast the next morning. But the lunch did not go well. First of all, $65 for a 10-pieces order is quite pricy. Especially some of the pieces were half of a thigh! We requested all dark meat but there were a couple of breasts included. The taste of the chicken was good but not extraordinary. The restaurant is a nice place and there were many customers sitting outdoors. The last straw kept us not going back for the breakfast was the extra charge for using the credit card without any warning. There is no sign nor mentioned by the cashier that there will be charges for paying with a credit card. The charge was very minimum but just left a not so good feeling about it. read more

The traffic, the excessively showy, extravagant and entitled feeling we get. So thats the problem. SHi shi has taken over. My wife stopped in for their amazing coffee to go. The girl at the counter hounded her to buy biscuits cookies anything.. After several no thank you and more hounding.. My wife reconsidered and figured what the heck, some cookies for dinner with our son. The girl struggled with the cash register and enlisted help. All good. What should have been a quick " in and out " became an event but no worries... Now it is finally time to pay. The young lady at the cash register insists on a tip! WTF! And she become indigent! My wife extremely uncomfortable tells her she refuses to tip at the counter and leaves feeling like she never wants to return. read more
