The owner, Barsin stopped by and did a thorough inspection, checked the refrigerant, condenser, inspected the main unit, filter etc. all was well which I suspected but just wanted to be sure. He even popped his head into the attic to look at some of the duct work which is the original to the house but still functioning. When he completed the inspection I asked him how he would prefer to be paid and he said "No Charge", everything is working as it should so you are go to go... I thought that was pretty swell:). I was already aware that the AC unit has a tiny leak, but I was NOT INTERESTED in talking to a salesman that just wants me to purchase a new everything for $10,000 instead of resolving the issue. All of these HVAC companies stated .... "Well....we need to get a service technician out there and diagnose the problem for repair, then we can give you an estimate, blah, blah, blah...." I DON'T NEED AN ESTIMATE!!! Can you just put in some freon?!! All except one company said 'no we can't help you, sorry, good luck with that...'. Only BREEZE HVAC said 'We can come down there tonight'. It was after hours, around 6:30 pm. The company owner is named Zaur. He is a "straight shooter." He gave me an Actual Quote over the phone. "$45 per pound of freon." This is something that ALL OTHER HVAC companies Absolutely Refused to do. " When I "pushed" the other companies, only one responded with "$495 minimum, but could be MUCH more." I asked "How much more?" $1295 was the Response. This estimate was clearly an "open ticket" for this company to come in and charge whatever they wanted. Who was I to stop them after the work was done? It CLEARLY was the Business "Brush off." You see, my job was simply "too small" for them to bother, and it was too late for them to come out. Wow... I only needed Freon. Without hesitation, Breeze HVAC gave me a Real Quote, and NOT an Estimate that the other companies Reluctantly gave me. This quote ended up being 1/5 of the Estimate from the other company . I DO REALIZE that there are plenty of HVAC jobs where it IS necessary for a technician to come out and take a look at the problem. But all that I wanted was freon. No repairs. In conclusion, my AC unit was filled in 20 minutes and my home AC immediately began blowing cold. No Games, No Nonsense. I'm keeping this phone number, that's for sure.
