Big Boss (large) pulled pork sandwich with fries.

Very friendly atmosphere. Kitchen is in the back portion of the store. Food tasted great! Will definitely return .

    BBQ omelet

Wow, Thebest bbq omelet I have ever eaten!! Loaded with bbq! Shout out to the Cooks,Jen and Mark.

Food was too good to take a pic first. Update: Macncheese is gone!

1st time here, we got the BBQ/Brisket platter, pigwhich, and kids chicken nuggets. Everything was delicious! Different BBQ sauces, Mac n cheese, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Kids loved the thick fries. Perfect easy dinner after a fun day outdoors. We will be coming back!

Cornhole, big chair for photos, and the important part! Smokers...

Came in to save the day! $10 all you can eat pulled pork, coleslaw, Mac & Cheese, baked beans AND a roll.... I personally favor creamy mac and cheese over baked, so their white cheddar mac and cheese was a hit! My 7 year old had SEVERAL plates. The coleslaw was homemade and had great flavor. Pulled pork was wonderful! (I think my teenage son had 3-4 plates) I saw the all you can eat thing on Facebook, and we tried it out after a failed event earlier in the day that left everyone tired, starving, and pretty cranky, they did not disappoint! Will definitely be back

Love the sandwiches to go. The grill is in a back corner of the mini-store, and they offer catering. Best-tasting bbq in the area.

The cook was pretty cool, the food was pretty straight forward and hit the spot nicely. I've been here a few times now.

Great bbq. Perfectly smoked. Brisket was best I've had in years. Low key location but clean, fast and ample seating.

You would never suspect the great atmosphere of this venue from the location. But the charm of the place really isn't the story. This is the kind of place that offers a gastro pub menu and they do not disappoint with a familiar yet unique menu offering some truly great dishes and perhaps the best burgers in VB. Definitely coming back.

We came here for Valentine's Day with a reservation for three (2 adults and a child). We were…read moregreeted warmly and seated right away, which was impressive given how busy it was. Our first table ended up being under a spotlight that was directly in our line of sight (it looked like it was meant for the specials board), so we asked to move. Staff was accommodating and got us to a better table quickly. The space itself is really nice. It was clean, rustically decorated, and the live plants in liquor bottles on the tables are a nice touch. Our server was friendly from the start and took drink orders right away. My daughter and I had sodas, and my husband ordered the Southern Charm Old Fashioned off the specials menu, which he enjoyed. The menu is on the smaller side, which we actually like. One unique detail was the option to "buy a round for the kitchen," which we thought was a really nice touch and decided to add it when we ordered our appetizer. We started with the fried deviled eggs after a friend recommended them. They were creative with three styles (classic with pickle, togarashi ginger, and crispy prosciutto), but overall a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as we expected. We asked for Dijon, but they don't have it. Our server suggested and brought out the Baja dipping sauce instead, which did pair well and kind of improved them. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. He said the fish was flaky and well cooked. I ordered the Union grilled cheese, which unfortunately seemed like it had been sitting a bit before being served, as the bottom was soggy. It was just okay overall and not particularly memorable for the price. The sweet potato fries on the side were the clear standout. They were crispy, the perfect balance of sweet and salty and honestly the best part of the dish. Our daughter had the kid's smashburger. It was exactly that. Service throughout the meal was good. She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and there when needed. The main disappointment came at the end. When our meals were served, the server actually offered sauces at the table (ketchup, mayo, ranch, etc.), and specifically suggested items like the baja sauce for the eggs and ranch to us. Because of that, we were surprised to see several charges for the sauces on the bill, especially since they were offered and recommended at the table with no mention of any additional cost. We were also charged a credit card fee, with no signage anywhere (entrance, hostess stand, or menu) indicating that paying with a card would include an extra charge. It just left an unnecessary sour note on an otherwise solid, casual meal. Nothing was bad, and nothing really stood out as exceptional, but the lack of transparency around those final charges really impacted the overall experience for us.

I ordered the Sunrise Burger, subbing hot honey for the mayo and oh-mah-gawsh that was an excellent decision. (The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I found it to be the perfect size.) I told my husband that the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Kyle was our server, and he was incredible--attentive despite being a little overwhelmed. It's darker on the inside because of the wood paneling, but it works for the saloon-adjacent vibe it's going for. Highly recommend!

So when one of the Homies told me about this place I was all in because - burgers - what's not to love. Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!
