The girl who took my order over the phone seemed a little unsure of herself, so I was admittedly nervous about everything being entered correctly. I even called back later just to have someone confirm the order. Pickup time came the next day and, unfortunately, nothing was ready. The pickup time on the order slip wasn't correct. That said, these guys were awesome. They immediately got to work, cranked out all of the pizzas in record time, and I was probably only delayed about 20 minutes. Given the size of the order, I thought they handled the situation really well. The food definitely didn't disappoint. One person on my team needed a gluten-free pizza, and she said it was one of the better ones she's had--probably in her top 20%. The rest of us made quick work of the regular pies too. The eggplant Parm pizza continues to be one of my favorites, with a nice balance of sauce, cheese, and generous slices of fried eggplant. I also ordered a half tray of tossed salad. The quality was there, but I thought $40 was pushing it a bit. I'm also not a huge fan of the 4% credit card fee. Even with those criticisms, the food remains consistently good, and I appreciated how quickly they recovered after the ordering mix-up. Mistakes happen. It's how a restaurant responds that matters, and Sorrento's took good care of me.

They have been ordering from here for well over five years. I figured I should give this place a chance since my aunt spoke highly of it. Surely enough, this pizza place did not disappoint. In fact, we have made it our favorite pizza place to enjoy as well. The owners and staff are remarkably generous! They seem to also get along so well with their regular customers that it is like their recurring customers become a part of their family. It is amazing to see this hospitality and kindness in a restaurant setting. I personally love the creativity of this restaurant and how every time I come there is a new type of pizza pie or new menu item.
