I went to Mama Mia's for a large pie the other night only to open the box to add toppings and lay eyes upon an eight legged creature of some sort casually crawling alongside my pizza crust. Out of shock I improperly exclaim to the employee behind the counter that the spider (when it really fell out of the box) flew out of the box only to get the smart-mouthed response that "Well, spiders don't fly." In my mind: "Why excuse me sir! Whether or not the creature flew, it was still creeping around my food (and who knows if the thing laid eggs...the nerve"). The smart-mouthed employee's outward response: "We could heat the pizza in a 600 degree oven or give you a new pie" And so, I waltzed out of Mama Mia's the other night with an extra large pie for my distemper and a renewed sense of judgment of where really to go to get my appetite's worth in pizza. Pizza in Rochester is amazing. It baffles me how pizza could get so bad just 20 minutes away, but it does. Mama Mia's is actually horrific. The crust is dry and cuts the roof of your mouth. It tastes like it was baked on a piece of sandpaper. They're real bashful with the sauce and the sauce lacks flavor or any personality at all. They use government cheese on the pizza and it adds to the atrocity they pretend to pass as pizza. It's an abomination and should be illegal for anyone to serve that hot circle of trash. It baffles me how students think this "pizzeria" ( if it could even be called a pizzeria) serves good pizza. It's probably because they're all from Albany and Long Island and the pizza there is awful as well. And I'm not trying to be a funny guy in this post, I'm serious when I say Mama Mia's serves awful pizza. I mean every word in this review. I will never eat there again even if it's the only place open late on a Saturday night. read more

Mama mias is running a business that is taking advantage of college students reluctance to stick up for themselves. We placed a delivery with them and called three times and the meal didn't arrive for two hours. When we called the last time to complain they blamed us for the inconvenience; they claimed that they called us repeatedly even though we had plenty of service and received no calls. They did not apologize and when we called the third time the food arrived within ten minutes with no phone call. It would have been easy to not tip the driver but this is clearly a management issue since this is not the first time this has happened to us. We will not be eating at mama Mia's again. read more

Very disappointed with the service/customer service. My husband and I were visiting our son, daughter in law and grandson in Geneseo. We offered to purchase dinner and called in the order at 5 pm. (Mike, Combo 2, pepperoni and green peppers) We were told 25 minutes. When we arrived, they were eager to take our money, then the wait began. After a half hour we noticed walk ins were getting their food before us, so went to question, at which time it was discovered they were attempting to give our pizza to a walk in order and they hadn't even started our wings! They slid our pizza off an eat in tray into a box and then proceeded to make the wings. All we got was "sorry for the wait". I expressed my discontent and asked to leave a review - I was offered a piece of paper and told it would be delivered to the boss - RIGHT!!. Glad to find this site to express my discontent. Good thing this pizzeria is located in a college town. Back when I was young I would have came here, drunk, for last call food. I ordered wings mild and my wife ordered a calzone. The clerk informed her the calzone would take 30 minutes to make so she ordered a chicken sandwich. My wings arrived within ten minutes of ordering but no chicken sandwich for my wife. As I ate the over cooked wings we waited for her meal. They brought out our desert after ten minutes but still no sandwich. Twenty minutes went by, I had finished the dry wings and her sandwich came out. Not impressed at all. I should have read the reviews prior to deciding to eat here. Although positive, they were posted by younger patrons who haven't experienced good quality food. read more

Sooooooooooo good! Went here after the bars, AMAZING! Granted I was a few drinks in but the slices were huge, hot and delicious. Thin crusted, good sauce, definitely could see why my boyfriend doesn't miss NYC too much with pizza like that around. read more

I have been a customer of Mama Mia's for 2 years since moving to the area I have had the owner here at my house on Delivery's also family from out of town for the last year been seeing them go down hill talk to delivery personal from time to time them being different every time cant keep help it seems meshed up orders along with management in charge and VERY VERY BAD service and communication with staff I will write them off I guess spending at least $ 600 a year with them they don't need my business good luck its a matter of time till they close there doors doing business like this read more

Great pizza! Huge slices, extra thin and crispy. It's mostly college students that work there, and it's really a place where college students go to grab a slice because it's right by SUNY Geneseo. I almost always get pepperoni, but I got buffalo chicken yesterday and it was delicious! Boyfriend and I got a buff pizza slice, cheese pizza slice, 2 garlic knots and a soda and it was about $9! It's been years since I've been to Geneseo but I still crave a Chicken Finger Sub dipped in hot sauce with Blue Cheese from Mia's. They simply do not make it downstate like they do at Mias. The pizza was mediocre but The Chicken Finger Sub was spectacular. read more

The pizza was ok not great. The main problem were the wings which were sweet when they were supposed to be spicy and gave me food poisoning. Eat at your own risk. The service was also terribly slow. read more

Great pizza, reasonably priced. Sometimes the wait is longer than expected. Definitely first choice for pizza though in Livingston county. Salads and sandwiches are good too. read more
