    Lomo Saltado

Great place for Peruvian we had ceviche de mixto (a little kick but I liked that the most), Lomo Saltado with moist, tender steak, and chaufa de mariscos with really good flavor! The flavors, tenderness of the proteins all just done very well. Not to mention great service. I contemplated in marking down for the up charge to use credit card but didn't. But note to mgmt, this day and age I think just using the price for card and marking % off for cash will be much better received than marking for extra charge for cards. Same effect presented with marketing and customer satisfaction in

Parking was limited. The restaurant itself is cute, there's seating inside and outside. The restrooms are one per gender. The service was quick. They serve bread and a green salsa as an appetizer. I got the Shrimp Ceviche which was refreshing, lemon hints, and filling when eaten with bread. I enjoyed the given green salsa as it had a slight kick to it.

Haven't been to Mamita's in over a decade and so happy I came back. Wanted to try something different than their signature dish Lomo Saltado so got the seafood version instead. A great mix of squid, shrimp and fish! Also tried one of their fried fish dishes, topped with seafood as well. Very similar in taste but yummy nonetheless. If you're into spice try the green sauce on the table with bread. Can't get enough of it. Service is friendly and quick. Parking can be a challenge but if you circle the block a few times, your patience will pay off.

I had a To Go order. I was so surprised how generous and amazing the Picante de Mariscos dish was. The dish was perfectly seasoned and will be a reorder. A bevy of large butteflied shrimp were succulent, paired with plentiful of octopus, squid and mussels. This was a perfect seafood dish. Don't forget to add the Peruvian green salsa to this dish. The flan wasn't as exciting. I hoped for smooth, melt in your mouth, but it was cumbly and tasteless. Booo The seafood/rice melange are terrific. A must visit.

Very friendly staff and the bread they serve before your order is the best, sitting tables are great and cozy, I ordered the vegetable Saltado, it was delicious

Warm, Welcoming, and Worth It - Especially for the Ceviche! Mamita's Peruvian Restaurant has a cozy, family-run charm that immediately makes you feel at home. The space is quaint and cute, with warm, thoughtful decor that adds to its inviting vibe. Inside, there's plenty of room to settle in, and the outdoor dining area is perfect for larger groups looking to enjoy a relaxed meal together. We tried the lomo saltado and the mixed ceviche, and hands down, the ceviche stole the show. Bright, zesty, and ultra-fresh, the flavors danced with just the right amount of acidity--it was the kind of dish you think about long after the last bite. The lomo saltado, however, didn't quite hit the mark for me. The sauce felt a little off compared to other versions I've had, though I couldn't quite put my finger on why. That said, I'd absolutely come back for the ceviche alone and would love to explore more of the menu. Just a heads up--parking is street-only, as there's no dedicated lot, but the experience inside more than makes up for it.

Attentive service, casual but stylish atmosphere. The parihuela soup with a squeeze of lime was bright, tangy, and filling.

We ordered to go since we were in Glendale and we have always been going to this place. It was our number one spot for Peruvian but after today don't think I'll be going back. The quality of the food is not how it was before and then I found something in my fried calamari and I'm just super grossed out now. The calamari also was really over cooked over fried and so tough really disappointed. Makes me sad because it was one of my faves but not anymore. I just hope I don't get sick after this.

Haven't had much Peruvian food but this was my first spot. Very tasty. I end up buying the aji sauce every time I go.

We came to this place several times and we love it! Their lomo saltado is a must!!! That's what we get every single time and that's what we come for! Their food is always solid! (Though one out of the few times everything came out a little too salty - but that can be a fluke I hope!) Their service is nice and friendly and the restaurant itself can be nice and cozy! You might have to find street parking but there are also some parking spots nearby the front!

Really enjoyed spending time with my cousins here the other day, they've been wanting to go here and I got to try it this same day on a nice rainy day. I like their chicha, he strong clove aftertaste is personally my favorite part, they had the lomo saltado, we shared the ceviche and I had the tallarines Verdes con carne frita which I wanted to drink the rest of the creamy sauce, it was that good. The waiter is kind and helpful, it feels nice inside l they also have a back side patio seating under shade.

Came here with a group on the recommendation of a Peruvian colleague to celebrate several birthdays including hers. The food was delicious! Among us, we had the Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos, Pescado a lo Macho, Tallarin de Camaron y Pollo, Camaron al Ajo, Camaron Frito, and Lomito Montado Estilo Mamitas. Everyone loved their meals. The birthday women received complimentary desserts with a candle on top. One of the ladies asked for luculma ice cream. Nice, simple ambiance. Great service. Street parking if the two side spots against the restaurant are unavailable.

Came to Glendale today to have my car serviced at Pacific BMW on Brand Avenue. Since I needed to eat lunch and occupy myself for a bit I decided to try the lovely Peruvian restaurant next door. Not only is the place super cute and clean but I found the food to be incredibly tasty. All three servers (Aida, Carmen and Gisela) were very attentive and a big great help with me maneuvering the extensive menu. I have not really been to many Peruvian restaurants, but if this is any way typical, then I'm certainly a fan . The question is not WILL I be back...but rather WHEN I will return. The answer is VERY SOON whether or not my car needs additional service. . One more thing to note. As I texted a few friends, talked with a few employees at Pacific BMW and casually texted and talked with friends while I ate...it struck me many people I know have been coming here regularly and ALL had similarly good things to say about this Peruvian gem in the muddle of Glendale.

It was great being able to chat with him, and he was extremely hospitable. He made sure to give me plenty of water on such a hot day, as I had my pug with me and we were sitting on the patio on a hot summer day. The lomo saltado was perfect. Tender, juicy beef, delicious fries and sauce, white rice, red onions, and roasted red peppers. The Pollo à la Brasa was off the hook. We got a half chicken with fried plantains and Peruvian beans. Absolutely delectable. Chicken was juicy and tender with perfectly crisp skin. Seasoning was just right. Fried plantains were best I've ever had. Lightly fried with a moist and lightly sweet interior. We also tried an order of Papas Huancaina. The potatoes were perfectly tender, and the sauce had a nice little kick without being too much. Service was impeccable. People constantly checked on us on the patio. The World Cup was playing on two flatscreen TVs on the patio and two flatscreen TVs inside. Everyone here is happy! Restrooms are incredibly clean and surprisingly lovely with scented candles and plants. El Dorado exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be back. If you're a fan of Peruvian cuisine in a casual but lovely and comfy atmosphere, you must come. El Dorado Pollos a la Brasa is authentic and friendly and delicious and perfect.

We had been to this small quaint and beautiful little restaurant in Montrose before and wanted to try it again. We loved their little Spanish style courtyard, the tapas, paellas, and the setting felt so good for little date night after being away for so long. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. We made reservations for 7:15pm and were hardly even greeted by the hostess that seemed she'd rather be elsewhere then to welcome us to Casa Cordoba. Problem was though even after setting the reservation time and arriving exactly at 7:15pm we weren't seated for 15min even though we saw our table being cleaned and set and just sit there unoccupied for over 15min. So we waited. When we finally sat down...our server didn't come by for another 10-15min. But we were patient and we waited. Alvin finally came -- brought us water and opened the wine we brought. A special one for this type of occasion (corkage fee was $30). We ordered the paella with squid ink and seafood since it takes up to 45min to prepare and sat down to enjoy the wine and take in the setting. That night they had live music -- a guy on an acoustic guitar playing some cool songs, from Maroon 5 to Backstreet Boys on a 12 string...at least it was live. It was pleasant. The server didn't attend to us much and just had an air about him. Idk -- they may have been super busy but wasn't sure. Finally the paella came. It was...good. Not plentifully. 7-8mussels, a quarter of an octopus tentacles, and a couple of calamari. If you're thinking that much it and rice then you're right. It was mainly rice. No vegetables accompanying it but that's the dish. That was $57 for the small version. I've made paella before. It takes time and it's a production -- but at least at home I can make one for half that price for 8 people. Maybe that's why we don't go out so often bc it ends sometimes like this. We expect a nice meal, a welcoming host or hostess, a server who enjoys the food and atmosphere and makes us feel at home, and food that we could never prepare at home. It's suppose to be an experience that you are happy to pay for. This wasn't. We were disappointed and just felt like wanting to leave. The last straw was when I signed the check on a toast machine and asked for the printed copy. The server, Alvin just left the toast machine with us and left -- attending to others and leaving us with this machine. All I wanted at the end was a thank you for dining with us and the printed copy. We had to flag another server for that copy. He eventually came, with disdain written all over and just handed me the copy, as if I had taken his time to get my the receipt which I asked. That pretty much did it. I asked to speak with the manager and was told--"oh sure. I can get him--he's the chef, give me a minute." I was floored!! No wonder!!! The chef. The back of house manager is also the front of house manager!! That says a lot. You're front of house and your guests are not being taken care of? What kind of restaurant is this? With these prices? Regardless that was it. We left -- had some great ice cream and spoke about the whole experience all the way back home. Great date night eh? Not returning.
