Outdoor seating
Holly M.

This review is a few week late as Yelp had a pause in reviews for MB. We stopped by in mid April after a full day of skiing so we were hungry. The brewery is quite nice. It has a beautiful outdoor picnic table area with plenty of seating. It was a little too chilly that night so we elected to sit inside at the bar. There is a large gift shop and various areas. A grab and go drink cooler. We had two bartenders helping us. One was Lucy and the other a young man. Both were very attentive. My husband ordered the beer tasting flight of all MBC Originals. 7 x 3oz pour ......$15. He thought it was good. I don't drink beer but they had their root beer as one of the samples and it was very tasty. I ordered the house cab and it was good. We both ordered the Damn Good Burger medium temp. $17. prime beef, smoked gouda, chipotle aioli, organic baby kale, arugula, brioche bun I'm a burger snob. I'm picky about my burgers. They need to be cooked to the requested temperature and must be juicy. I felt the burgers were cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the toppings worked well together. Juicy, flavorful. Absolutely delicious. The waffle fries were okay. They were not crispy like you would want waffle fries. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be back next year.

Cornice Chardonnay and wheat beer

We had a Cornice Chardonnay and my husband had a kolsh. It was so nice sitting outside and used the QR menu ordered pretzel. The pretzel was delicious as well as the drinks! Highly recommend

Delicious salad and pizza (most the beer is gone...lol)

What a fabulous brewery right in the middle of Mammoth. They had quite a few beers on tap, as well as wine and a few sours. The vibe is great as there is seating inside and outside. We had dinner there the first night in Mammoth and it was delightful. Ordering can be tricky as it is done via a QR code at your table.

Kolsch with a bit of head - crisp and good!

OMG the food here was good! I walked in around 3:30pm after an entire day of XC skiing and was pretty hungry and thirsty. I asked for a Mammoth Kolsch but the keg kicked so waited a few minutes while the bartender went to change it. Bartender was great, got me a pint of the first pull with minimal head as I watched him make my pour. Thank you bartender! Head always sucks IMHO lol...and the Kolsch was nice and crisp, just the way I like it! I worked hard today and for some reason the thing calling my attention on the menu today was the short rib. That isnt the first thing on the menu I usually look for but probably working my body hard made me want some protein. The short rib was so good, very tender, so well cooked and the BBQ demi glace hit the spot. It also came with arugula garnish, which is my favorite green and went very well with the short rib. Potato gratin was yummy and the onion rings perfect! I ate to my hearts content, soooo good! Large portion size so I have leftovers for another meal. Service was good, host at the front was super cheery and friendly. Lots of merch for sale here. Many of the beers also in cans for takeaway too. Also ample parking, and there is also an area to sit outside too. I chose to sit inside as I was outside all day already and got more than my daily Vit D dose! Overall, a great experience, I am definitely coming back!

Great beer, nice food selection, friendly staff. Conveniently located in the city within walking distance to the village. Parking lot for the brewery is a plus. Dog friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating Overall great brewery

Great service very personable. Very chill. Had to grab a few to go. Golden ale is a go to.

I visited Mammoth Brewing, and it was a not the best first-time experience. The atmosphere is undeniably fun. It has ample seating and is a two-story building. The food and drinks were both good. I don't like scanning the code to order on the phone. For refills, you have to get up and walk over to get a refill. That was a new experience for me. This is something to consider if you have young children. The food took more time than we expected. Some food items didn't arrive, which made it difficult when you have teenagers who are hangry at this point. Overall, it was just okay. This was a subpar first experience.

Shuffleboard downstairs

Although I regret trying the beer myself, those in my party seemed to enjoy it. We came as a large party so we waited well over an hr and 1/2 for a table that we frankly made ourselves in the bar. We never made it to the main dining area. For a Tuesday night at 6pm in mid Jan, we were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. We ordered a variety of items (not all pictured) and everyone seemed to like their meal. The cheesesteak sandwich was delicious and the fish had a nice outside crunch with the flaky inside. The sweet potato tater tots were also good. My fellow diners, (even the one who ordered the double), commented on how much they enjoyed the burger. If you wanted to take some Mammoth Brew home with you, the restaurant also features a store with clothing and beer but apparently they ran out of root beer which was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we visited. As it was cold outside we appreciated the waiting area/bar in the basement where they had a few extra tables, a shuffleboard and a pool table to help past the time. Although it was small and limited in seating on this unusually busy night, we found a spot to seat ourselves without much help from the staff.

This was a nice brewery to go to while in Mammoth Lake area. My husband and I took a last minute day road trip to Mammoth Lake. I know, really random but we saw this reel about Juniper Loop. We checked it out and it was quick then ended up at Mammoth Lake for a few nice trails. Afterwards, we were a little hungry. The service was quick. We walked in and sat right away. We ordered from this code and ordered drinks at the bar. My husband ordered the food through the code. We shared the queso dip and their bánh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). Prior, we had some meat pies in Juniper Lake which was delicious. The drinks at the bar - my husband got a flight of beer. Worth the price versus a glass of beer in our opinion. I got a root beer float. The ice cream was packaged. Different but still a good float. Overall, a good brewery and the outside seating seemed nice from a far. We sat inside.

Love Mammoth Brewing! Love their beers, love their restaurant location in Mammoth Lakes, and their food is next level! I've been a craft beer nut for many years, and Mammoth's offerings are incredible. I've been curating a "Top 10" list for years, and Mammoth's 395 IPA is always at the top. Haven't found another even close! Wild hops and juniper berries??? Who would've thought? The restaurant definitely embraces the ski lodge feel, with bare timber, exposed beams, and rustic woodwork. But of course, all are welcome. They have a great gift shop, with many of their beers available in 4-packs, and will even fill growlers or crowlers for you on the spot. Excellent for camping trips. PRO TIP: Try their root beer! They make it themselves, and it is incredible. Unfortunately they don't can it, but they will fill your growler/crowler. Try Mammoth Brewing! The food is great, the beers are epic, and you'll be coming back.

I would rate the ambiance a 5, the food a 4, and the service a 3. The employees themselves were nice, but you wait an hour for a table to not have a server. Also, my friend and i ordered at the same table but separately 2 minutes apart and our flatbreads came 15 minutes apart. Came here 2 nights. The first night we made the mistake of ordering appetizers and entres together and it all came at once. The food was solid, and so was the beer, the pretzels with the cheese were my favorite. The lawn area is nice but you can't order from there.

YUMMMMM! First off, love a spot that has ample parking. Especially for being right by The Village, this is super convenient. They have two stories. We were a little hesitant because we showed up to get a good drink + bite while watching the game and saw NO TVs when we entered. But rest assured, multiple TVs upstairs :) amazing you can order drinks and food at your table using a QR code or you can walk up to the bar and order your beverage (they have one upstairs and another on the ground floor). We noticed staff constantly walking around to keep things tidy and ensure the customers are enjoying their visit. Items ordered: Double nut brown - my bf ordered this and I had a taste. Soooo good!!! It has notes of chocolate and coffee but wasn't sweet or overpowering at all! Smooth. Succulent sipper - easy go down seltzer. Doesn't even taste like alcohol. Similar to cactus cooler. And only six bucks! Damn good burger (with added egg and side of waffle fries) - cooked perfectly, generous portion considering he didn't get a double patty. Plenty of fries for the side. Brioche bun for the win. Really makes a difference! Pickles on the side. Nashville hot tenders - again, portion was very generous! As I kept eating, there were more and more buried underneath lol. Not as spicy as I imagined but still enjoyable. You can ask for the Nashville rub on the side. It's good to add on the fries or onion rings for extra seasoning! Onion rings - the batter was so crispy but light and onions were not cut too thin or thick. They really perfected this. Definitely shareable but I ate half with my tenders and took the rest back home. It's served with various sauces and they're all so good!! We love variety. Overall, a chill and reliable spot. We came at night but during the day you'd have a killer view of the mountains in the background. Outdoor seating is available but I didn't notice any heaters so be prepared!

Damn Good Veggie Burger is the menu item name and it sure is!
Marcy H.

We walked into the restaurant for a party of 9 While waiting we ordered a beer and appetizers at the bar. The onion rings, sweet potato tots and pretzels were amazing. Once our table was ready upstairs we had to scan the QR code to order and pay. The good part is if you come with different families each family can order and pay for their own food. The bad is it eliminates hosts. Food was quick to arrive by friendly servers. The veggie burger was one of the best I've had. Great atmosphere with scenic views.

We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. Another good but different experience at Shelter Distilling.

I highly recommend waiting in their waiting area or downstairs for your table as they will come to find to if something opens up quicker. Everything we ordered was tasty. We were very hesitant to try the Asian sticky ribs but it actually ended up being really good. I can't remember what the vegetable dish (4th pic) was called but it was also very good if you got a bite with everything in it. It had sweet potato, beet, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds! We also ordered some drinks. The curry drink (forgot the name) was surprisingly good despite the odd list of ingredients that went in. Their local black cherry soda was also very nice. Service is great and very helpful when it came to recommendations. The space is small and doesn't allow dogs which was a bummer but still a spot I would come back to try more of their seasonal items!

The specials are often worth trying!…read more Mammoth is usually one of the few ski resorts in California that opens the longest, and has the most open terrain. This was particularly true of the 25/26 season, and I found myself there in what was likely one of the last powder days of the season. I stayed in the Mammoth Creek Inn, a short walk away from Mammoth Bowl, but this is not the first time I've been there. Mammoth Rock Brasserie is somewhat hidden as it exists above a bowling alley, but it is undeniably one of the rare gems in Mammoth Lakes. I walked in at about 5:30pm without a reservation on a Saturday, and everything was great. I got seated quickly near the window with a great view, and was given the rundown of the specials of the day, which I'll be grading individually. - Hamachi Special "Hamachi Crudo" (5/5) - done to absolute perfection, the choice of sauces and a small amount of ginger and seaweed salad made for a perfect tasing experience. The sashimi is fresh of course, but what sauces you pair with it matters - and Brasserie did it perfectly - Seabass special "Loup de Mer au Beurre Blanc" (5/5) - done to perfection! The skin was perfectly crispy, and the fillet done amazingly well and combined with the Beurre Blanc made for an incredible pairing. The mashed potato side and asparagus was also great, although I wasn't really a fan of the root vegetables. There was also the complementary bread and salted butter which were a great way to start. The bread I believe comes from Shea Schat's bakery in the same town. Overall everything was amazing, and you're overlooking some of the best views of Mammoth Lake's mountain range. It's difficult to not recommend the experience, except maybe it being a somewhat pricey fine dining experience, but I think everyone should try it at least once!
