    Socal Burrito

This isn't an actual restaurant location. You order inside Cinco Taco Bar. At the cash register area, there is a small chalkboard menu with their popular items. They have a wider selection on their website. All the workers are extremely friendly, so don't hesitate to ask them about it. I love Hot Cheetos, so I ordered the SoCal Burrito with steak. It also came with salsa and tortilla chips, which were thin and crispy. They have an orange hot sauce, which was great with the burrito as well. As I was eating my burrito, I noticed that it didn't have any Hot Cheetos inside. I asked the worker, and she was very accommodating and nice. She gave me a side of Hot Cheetos and nacho cheese. I added the Hot Cheetos into the burrito myself, which wasn't a big deal. If anything, it worked in my favor. I saved half the burrito for later, and I didn't have to worry about the Hot Cheetos getting soggy. The SoCal Burrito itself was amazing! The steak was well marinated and juicy. There was no rice or beans, which I liked! The burrito was meat, fries, cheese, and a variety of sauces. One of the best burritos I have ever had!

Hype!! Location is a bit hard to find due to the name. It's actually located inside of Cinco Taco Bar. The man v fries is literally just a menu. The carne asada fries... the best thing was probably the fries themselves. Fresh and crispy. The asada felt aged, dry and been sitting. The cheese was just nachos cheese that's been heated (you can see the can from the kitchen front). It's a small portion for $15 overall, nothing worth driving for unless you're in the area since other places that serve carne asada fries are more likely to be better. Service was great and restrooms were clean. They also have a great bar selection.

Location: inside of Cinco Taco Bar, in the corner you can order and pi k up food when ready. I had the Nor Cal burrito which is basically a cali burrito. I liked it, the sauce gave it some good flavor. The nacho fries were tasty. Loaded with asada and fries were crispy. I like that they give nacho cheese with the order and plenty of salsas for your chips.

Man vs Fries is located inside Cinco Taco Bar. Very easy to order from both menus if you can't decide on the two. Which was what happened. I walked in there and ended up ordering from both places. They are open for take out only during Covid. The place was very bright and clean and had marks on where to stand for social distancing. This review will be for Man vs Fries food only. The carne asada fries were good. Only trick is that you have to eat them as soon as possible! I ordered the SoCal version but let's be honest here, it's truly hard to find a place that makes it exactly they way it should be. Close but not quite. Everything else looked great in the menu and in pictures and these are very large portions. Come hungry! I may come back for their California Crunch or something.

We found Man vs Fries on Yelp and couldn't resist trying. It's located inside the Cinco Taco Bar. My boys and I shared the Asada Fries. Extra crispy curly fries piled high with carne asada, queso, guacamole and drizzled with more sauces. So good and worth the splurge!

    Burrito with hot cheetos

Me and the kids came here on our way home and we had to stop to check it out. My son got a burrito with carne asada and it had hot cheetos in it he said it was delicious

This was a popular inside a taco shop, I was really excited to be trying put this place but felt like the crunch wrap was above a Taco Bell not exactly amazing. The fries were good we got the NorCal version carne asada I felt the meat was a bit gamey otherwise the fries itself was seasoned very well. I asked for hot sauce ans the sauce we got was not spicy at all.. may try the burrito if I end up here again

SoCal Burrito (carne asada, flamin' hot cheetos, straight-cut fries, cheese, sour cream, guacamole)

This pop-up is located inside Cinco TacoBar, and partners with GrubHub. We ordered on our way to this location, and to our surprise, our order was hot and ready for us within 10 minutes! The incorporation of hot Cheetos definitely lured us to come check this place out. We ordered the SoCal Burrito, and we easily split this 13" burrito. The entire burrito was flavorful, and their side of secret sauce was bomb! Towards the end of the meal, do not intend the burrito to be as delicious since the hot Cheetos do get to a soggy point. We hit the lunch rush, as we saw the line build up to the door. The Papa Loca (waffle cut fries) was delicioussss. The portion size definitely aligned with the price. Don't forget to pair it with a refreshing drink! The staff here are really nice, and it seems that they offer new fun concoctions at the bar, which is a plus! Overall, we would definitely come back to grab a few tacos and make sure to save some room to try out their desserts that they offer.

    Quesadilla California Pizza
    Cedric R.

Quesadilla pizza anyone? California style. We were so excited to eat this! These dillas are filled with fries, your choice of meat (chicken or asada), sour cream, queso, gauc, and hella cheese! The asada flaming doritos nachos are fire!! And did I mention the flaming crunch wrap holy moly! We still needa try some of the other items...soon! You def get your bang for your buck as we got killed fries beat us this time, but we'll be back for round dos.

I am so elated and excited that I gave Man Vs. Fries a second chance! This time around I ordered the HellaDilla with cheese, fries, and flammin' hot Doritos and it was delicious. The spiked ranch provided the flavor that I was missing from my last visit. Also, I had to give the #fryedcheesecake another chance and it was delightful. I will definitely be going back and taking every opportunity to let my friends know P.S. I had the pleasure of interacting with the owner and he's a really nice guy who genuinely cares about his craft and the product that he puts out.

First class customer service! Best burrito in town! I challenge anyone to finish one of these humungous burritos.

1 "Socal burrito" With an agua fresca, and a $2 tip(which I regret now) came out to $22. And half way through my burrito I found no guacamole. $22 for meat, cheetos, and French fries. And not even guacamole, Thats a little ridiculous.

    Helladilla
    Sara R.

Ordered two helladillas over the phone because I was super excited to try them out. The spiked ranch really peaked my interest. I got my order and when I opened it up it only came with carne asada, fries, and cheese inside. The sides included 2 sides of pico de gallo, two sides of salsa, two sides of chips, and one side of sour cream. No spiked ranch, guacamole, or queso! I was super disappointed and when I called I was told that those things are all extra, something totally different than what's on their menu. When I told the manager that, I was met with an "ok.." and nothing else. The menu needs to be fixed. It's a shame, I really wanted to like this place. The customer service I received was also really odd. I expected more than just an "Ok"

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Parking is ample, with a short walk, in this Nob Hill Foods shopping center.

One - when I walked in I'm not sure if the person that was working there was speaking to her friend or family member but it seems like I interrupted their conversation so it took several minutes for me to make my order(I actually almost left) but I proceeded to place part one of my order which was a dutch crunch burrito with the brisket meat. This was not bad tasting at all when I got back to try everything after shopping nearby. However the carnitas burrito was terrible. I'm not sure what happened. I took two bites and it just wasn't good at all. I was highly disappointed. I appreciated that they give me free chips and salsas but even the salsas weren't that great...not really spicy for "habanero" and the others just seemed watered down as do most Mexican restaurants. So for 32$ I was totally let down and I really dislike spending money on food that I don't like and then I need to spend more money getting food because I'm still hungry. I'm happy that I at least tried the place but now I can see why there was only 2 other diners in the afternoon/early evening. I guess my quest for good Mexican food in this city will continue. I don't think I can recommend or return to this establishment anytime soon.

The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.

Yea I know its a little late but the place had quite a few people in the dining and bar area for a saturday night. I know for myself if we're eating close to closing, I leave a good tip bc I appreciate their service when its close to closing time. We waited at the front hostess area for 2 to 3 min before anyone came out. 3 employees walked by us and said nothing as they saw us standing there waiting to be seated. Finally we got seated and our waitress came to ask us if we wanted drinks and we ordered at 9:17p. We received our food at exactly 9:30p which I thought was amazing timing and it looked okay. But.... as the waitress gave us our food, she placed my husband's fajita plate down then walked around the table towards me. As she was doing that, she slid the tortila holder across the table and it hit my husbands dinner plate.. she said nothing and I thought that was so rude. She placed my food down and then asked "do you guys want anthing bc the bar is closing and they wont make you anything after they close!" I said "we're fine." Again, we get it you guys are closing but come on. My husband asked her if he could get a refill on some salsa.. she yanked the salsa from the table and went to fill it. Returned with it and slid it across the table a couple inches and walked away. Groups of people started to leave the dining area and head home and before we knew it we were the only ones there. As we were eating, I could see the waitress sitting by the wall with her arms crossed looking at us and around the room. It made us uncomfortable and I could tell she was so irritated.. it was 9:40. The other employees were cleaning the tables and placing chairs on tables around us to clean the floors Before long, we couldn't take it. I was just annoyed so we asked for to-go boxes. She got us our boxes and a bag to carry the boxes. We felt SO rushed and really annoyed. Yea you close at 9:30 but you're still making money at the end of the day. We paid at the end and gave her a low tip. I was prepared to give her wayy more but I couldnt. Her attitude was something else. I feel like the restaurant has gone down and its unfortunate. The food was okay and I don't think we'll be back. It's a shame bc I really liked this location and building. I don't know what her name was but she was around 5 foot 1-2 inches tall, mid 40s, short black hair with a purple tint to it, and she wore a silver butterfly ring on her right ring finger. As we walked out, the feeling we got was that we were holding EVERYONE UP so they couldn't close up. But as we walked to the car, we saw several people still sitting in the bar area.. eating.. drinking.. etc. 11 people to be exact. So what was the rush...
