HP Taco Truck was a guest at Great Notion Brewery in Berkeley this past weekend. First time trying the tacos, got the banh mi tacos and they were delicious. I enjoyed the pickled radish and carrots in the tacos. Meat was tender and tasty. However, they can definitely include more chips with the order. The banh mi tacos come with chips, but they only had like 4 chips which is so little... however the chips were freshly fried and crispy, went well with the guacamole and Great Notion beer.

Banh mi tacos are tasty! Chips are very freshly fried and hot which was nice. Wish there was more though. The bahn mi tacos had egg which was a nice touch. Good food with beer at great notion brewery.

Here's a version written clearly in an 8-year-old voice that still reads well when posted:…read more Hi! My name is Gracie and I am 8 years old. I went to Cinco's Taco Bar in Livermore and it was SO good! I ordered a crunchy taco with carnitas, rice, and cheese. The taco shell felt hard but also super crunchy, which I really liked. The carnitas meat was my favorite part because it was so yummy and full of flavor. Everything tasted delicious and I would definitely want to go back again. If you like crunchy tacos, you should try it!

So i headed to Cinco TacoBar since i was feeling Mexican food and this was the closest off the exit before going up the hill to Tracy. It was around 3:30ish so it was pretty empty, but this was good news for me, no wait times. The location is pretty spacious and theres also outdoor seating. My order was taking pretty fast and obviously food came out quickly as well, but i do want to say that this is one of those instances that fast does not usually translate to good. I will say that portioning is okay, the tortilla used is definitely large but it's protein content not so much. The cheese was also not melted all the way through and i believe that's probably due to how fast it was cooked. They used a tool where it squeezes the quesadilla in a grill platform. So i think they didn't let it sink long enough. Anyways, the quality of the quesadilla was enjoyable and the hot sauce i had packed a punch. It's a quick heat, lasts seconds. Not sure if I would come frequently though, as i mentioned earlier, the protein portioning is slim. If anything, i will come back for their other specialty items.

The staff was very accommodating and providing a heater since it was just a little Chilly. Our server was very quick and accommodating made great recommendations. My hubby had the crispy chicken sandwich and I did the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Both were exceptional. I enjoyed my grilled cheese sandwich and soup, but I will admit I kept asking for a bite of my husband's chicken sandwich because it was so good. We also had the deviled eggs, which I highly recommend.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

Long wait, expensive, and poor portioning. Would not recommend…read more I came a couple nights ago by recommendation of the algorithm on my social media and what not. Never again will i listen to a non-human! Let me first start off by saying, i love me my quesadillas. It's my go to mexican food. My staple, the good ol' reliable. Not tacos, not burritos. The mighty legendary quesadilla. How can you mess up a quesadilla with meat? Well it's possible here at Tacos Mil Delicias. It all started with the price tag. $15 dollars for a quesadilla, thats before tax. I thought to myself, okay, it's going to be at least mildly big or beefy. Nope and nope. This thing was thinner than a Taco Bell quesadilla and smaller than the usual size flour tortilla for a menu item like this at other Mexican taco trucks. All this while waiting in the cold for what felt to be longer than 15 minutes. Unacceptable. They did have some chairs next to their truck and it looked decently clean, but i thought it wouldn't take that long and is the reason why i stayed standing. Wrong. I didn't give it one star because the quesadilla did not taste bad. Regardless, for that amount of money, it's best spent elsewhere.

The parking was a little weird, but I found a spot and checked it out. There was a party of 4 in front of me ordering at the counter. They serve alcohol, bottled sodas, and have a soda fountain. The place isn't fancy- pretty simple and a little dark but ok. It wasn't inviting enough to stay. The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.
