My daughter bought her first car from Mazda of Manchester. They promised to fix large scratch on driver side mirror. Because she lives out of state, I picked up the car for her and mirror was not fixed. Guy tried to tell me it was just cosmetic and not mechanical so it was no big deal. Car sat there for a week so they had plenty of time. Then I get home and there is NO registration in the car. They misplaced it. When they overnighted papers to her, there were papers in there for another car. They didn't get much right and didn't seem all that bothered by it. Do not deal with them So many over sights on their part. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I entered Mazda of Manchester on 2/22 and was greeted by Lisa the sales Manager and Carlie the Sales Representative. The first thing I did was explain to the sales manager my situation, that I was recently discharged from bankruptcy and needed to know if their finance manager worked with subprime lenders who would be willing to help me out. We sat and talked and I was informed they had one or two banks that could help me out. After speaking with Carlie briefly, I informed her directly that I had a car I could trade in that was quoted at $1500 by other dealerships as well as $500 cash. We agreed that I would come in the next day to work something out. Not only via email, and in person, I informed both the sales manager and the sales rep that my $800 in town car taxes were still due, and I asked if somehow this could be worked into the deal. I was promptly emailed back saying that she spoke to Lisa and that it could be worked into the deal and "take care of". Well the next day I came in and pressed her briefly on how, and again I was brushed off with "i told my manager and they said it can be taken care of". So today, I get a call telling me that they were able to come to terms with a bank and I would need an additional $500 to get the deal through. So, after work I promptly went over. Not only was I never greeted by Carlie, whom she didn't take a moment to step away from her current client and let me know she busy, but I was greeted with a finance manager who seemed surly at best. When I came in, the finance manager instantly told me to give my keys to a rep named Dave and he would quote the car. I said, okay before we do that why don't we discuss what the bank is willing to do, and what the numbers are. I was told "there is nothing to discuss, we discussed it on the phone". Then after being told this and asked to sit down, I stared at a wall for 25 minutes without anyone coming up to me or updating me as to what was going on except one gentleman who was on his way out of work. Once I was brought into the finance managers office, I was told not only do I NEED to pay an additional $300, that he could not budge at all on the price to make up the difference and sell the car, and also he informed me he still didn't quite get the deal through because they didn't give enough room in the monthly payment for GAP insurance. When I explained to him that I can get GAP insurance through my insurance provider, he pushed back instantly and said I needed it through my loan, which is totally untrue. Lastly, neither the sales rep or the sales manager ever told the finance manager about the $800 in car taxes, and the finance manager said he didn't even think he could get something down now. So, the entire deal fell through. No communication in this place, lots of brushing off, and individuals who seem quite surly when dealing with poor credit individuals. Sorry I don't have outstanding credit like 99% of your clientele, but I did not needed to be treated this way. read more

Stay away. I leased a car here in August of 2015. They were excellent when brokering the deal but the second I signed on the dotted line and drove the car away it all went to hell. The car had nearly 400 miles on it when I picked it up - a new car mind you - which was never part of the deal - they assured me I'd get credit for that but I came to find out that I did not. When some issues arose with the car in the first few weeks after purchase, I could not get a returned phone call for a week and when I finally did, it took begging and pleading to get the issue corrected and resolved properly. One of the problems was that I live in NY and they screwed up my registration process, which resulted in me getting a substantial parking ticket. They agreed this was their fault and agreed to reimburse me for the ticket - but it's nearly four months later and after countless calls with Lisa, Dave and the owner Steve Carter, I still don't have the check they promised. The few problems I did have escalated and when I attempted to resolve them proactively, ultimately their managers and Steve Carter were dismissive, underwhelming and unreliable in their customer service. Today, with the issues still not handled properly, I had one last conversation with Steve Carter, the owner, and after over a week of leaving messages for him, I let him know how disappointed I was and he basically told me that he didn't care and rushed me off the phone. He insinuated that I am crazy and lying about these issues. When a dealership has an opportunity to simply say "hey, you know what, it sounds like you've been through a ton trying to get this resolved, we clearly could have done a little better, let's make this right, I apologize and I'm listening (which is all I ever wanted) but opts to be nasty, defensive and all but tell you to go f yourself, it speaks volumes about how they feel about their customers. It's amazing how Mazda of Manchester went out of their way to take care of my every need when I was considering the car, but disappeared once I purchased. They are disorganized, unprofessional and only care about making the deal. read more

Selection of vehicles is okay sales person was really nice he was older and had been in the industry for awhile but you are not walking into a no pressure sales environment. The sales manager Brandon was very pushy, was trying quite hard to get me to buy the vehicle that day even though I said it would be a few days. He said the vehicle would be going to auction in 3 days to try to get me to buy it right then and there. I did not like that. Would not go back. I bought a new (used) car here and once the sale was done, my car started having problems right away. I thought no big deal until I had to bring my car in 3 TIMES, before they fixed the problem. After the 3rd time the problem was gone and then the same problem happened on the other wheel. I received 2 different explanations from the service manager as to why the 1st problem took them 3 times to fix it and I didn't give them a chance to fix this last problem. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere and definitely not having your car serviced here. read more

Very happy so far with this dealership. I have used the Mazda dealership in Hartford in the past but thought we would check Manchester out and we are so glad we did. After not hearing back from the one in Hartford when we tried to make an appointment to look at new cars, Manchester Mazda far exceeded our expectations. They gave us a fair price and really tried hard to find us a great deal and the car we wanted without being pushy. The sales manager Lisa was terrific, we told her what we wanted to pay for which car(s) and she quickly found us what we wanted. Sales person Tony was knowledgeable and helpful and Harold got us through the paperwork efficiently and pretty painlessly. I would give 5 stars, but the new car had the tiniest of surface scratch which I would have like to have had buffed out before we picked it up instead of having to bring it back, but all in all very happy with them. read more

Carter chey took my car to Mazda to put in a new radio, the reason Carter had my car was for collision work and they partner with Mazda.How ever after one day of having my car I had to call AAA because my car wouldn't start. It was my neutral sensor.After calling Mazda and explain what happen they were willing to fix the problem but I would have to pay the labor.I went to my local mechanic and he found that it only needed to be adjusted there was no cost. We had a terrible experience repairing our Mazda at Mazda of Manchester!! When we brought the car in for a minor repair, they told us it would take about 1-1.5 hours and quoted us $240. The repair took 3 hours and and cost double what they quoted. I had to miss class because of it. Also, for cost of labor, Mazda of Manchester charges $100 per hour whereas Olender's only charges $57 and does much better work. The manager who I spoke with was very condescending when we were upset about the time and cost of service. Needless to say, we will never take our Mazda here again, and I cannot recommend auto repair at Mazda of Manchester to anyone. read more

WE bought a 2014 Mazda CX-9 AWD Touring from Mazda of Manchester working with Brandon Hansen and Bob Hansen (they are not related). We knew going in what we wanted but the trick was to find a vehicle with exactly the options we wanted at a competitive price and to get advice on some additional options we were considering. Brandon and Bob exceeded our expectation in the information they gave us and in quickly finding and securing our vehicle. They arranged for some additional options we wanted to be added on. When it came time to pick up the vehicle, it was expertly prepped. The closing documents were ready and in order and that part went more smoothly and quickly than we expected. Finally, they walked us through all the critical elements of the vehicle and helped us customize things like blutooth, XM radio, etc. I highly recommend them. read more

We were looking to upgrade from a Ford Escape SUV to a larger SUV with 3 rows of seats. After doing some on-line comparisons of the models in that category, we were drawn to the Mazda CX-9. We headed out on a Saturday to test drive the CX-9 as well as a Toyota Highlander after that. The Highlander was nice, but I fell in love with the Mazda. Fran Palazzo was our sales person and she was awesome. She was friendly, answered all of our questions and there was no pressure. We ended up purchasing a 2016 CX-9 Touring with less than 7K miles on it. It was a great deal for us and they were very generous with our trade-in as well. The business manager Lisa was excellent. She got us the lowest possible financing rate and had all of the paperwork ready when we arrived to pick up the car. She even handled our issue with a missing title for our trade-in with the DMV for us. I would highly recommend this dealership and their staff if you are looking for a new car. read more

I almost gave up on Mazda but I had my heart set on the car so I decided to give it another chance. Within seconds of meeting Brandon Hansen, I felt an instant connection and was actually relieved! I had finally met someone who could relate to me and wasn't pushy; more than anything he was honest. Brandon was extremely attentive and did everything in his power to give me the best deal he could while making the experience a pleasurable one. This was the first car I was purchasing (on my own!) and he understood my anxiety with it all, which made me feel so comfortable. I just had a great experience buying a car. Let me say that again. I just had a great experience buying a car. To me buying a car used to mean preparing for battle with the sales person, then the sales manager and finally the business manager. In this case, Mazda of Manchester (CT) was completely different. Their web site was comprehensive and up-to-date. When I called they indicated that the cars I was interested in would be available for review. When I arrived at the dealership I noticed all three used cars were in front of the sales office ready for inspection and possibly a test drive. Kate, the sales person, greeted me, asked for details of what I was interested in and then offered to show me each car. I did a test drive with two of the cars. They were in immaculate condition. Both cars met my needs so I sat down with Kate to discuss pros and cons of each in relation to their price. I had checked Edmonds and Kelly Blue Book so I was ready to battle about the price. The Mazda of Manchester prices for both cars and my trade in were right on target with the prices I had hoped to negotiate. After we agreed on the price, Kate told me that they were going to put on new tires and windshield wipers as well as replace a malfunctioning key remote - all free of charge. One more thing, I had the car inspected by my mechanic. He found a slightly cracked air conditioning belt that Mazda agreed to replace. Mazda of Manchester has completely changed my thoughts on buying a car. I recommend them enthusiastically. read more
