I've been getting food here for a while now and I think it's great. I've only dined in once and although it was a good experience , it's usually just pizza or a grinder to go. Their pizza is Greek style and pie cut as it should be . I have noticed they do a lot of cuts on the pizza so there are a lot of slices per pie. If you like Greek style pizza or a solid meatball sub, give this place a try. I think you will like it. read more

Very disappointing, ordered steak and cheese and received what looked like fried roast beef. Very slimy, threads of black cooked areas. I took two bites and tossed it. I don't know what happened, I got the same thing last summer and it was absolutely delicious. What a shame. read more

I'm a pizza snob. Most crusts taste like cardboard. That's my go-to when critiquing pizza joints. Anyone can do toppings. Next is sauce. Manchester crust has a little sweetness with a good chew. Sauce is excellent. Has body and flavor. They are consistent. It's hard to find in a restaurant now a days. Discovered them after Vics closed. We have gotten take out for at least 4 years, and this is the first time we are disappointed. The bruschetta was delicious, lots of herbs, generous tomatoes, and plenty of cheese. Salads were kind of sad, not even one tomato to be had. My husband got sausage and peppers, requested over vegetables, no pasta. While very tasty, the portion was a THIRD of the usual portion. Container with sausage and peppers was only half full, containing very little sauce. The accompanying vegetables were in a very small container. Hopefully just an off night. I got angel hair seafood, requesting no marinara. The dinner was made accurately, however, the scallops were very tough and chewy. We will try again in a couple of months, just disappointed when meals are so costly to receive such a small portion and some tough seafood. read more

Manchester Pizza food is good but their customer service needs work. From the drivers to the manager. Today I ordered food for my family and I from lunch. The male worker who answered the took my order as normal but then started to be rude. He refused my order cause I quote " ordered from another Pizza restaurant at the same time I ordered from Manchester Pizza. It looks bad not only for us but also for your home. Plus you did not give us a big tip. Your address never gives a large tip and the drivers doesn't want to do service." I replied with "if tipping is an issue I'll tip your driver $5.00 to $10.00 plus an extra tip. But I assure you that I wasn't the person who made the call." Now this order that the person was upset about was last weekend or so. This is a whole new weekend.He continues to be rude and argumentative telling me that "you are forced to pay tips anywhere you order from even when you're shopping at grocery stores or anywhere else." I proceed to tell him "you don't force your consumers to tip and you don't tell them how much they should tip. You definitely and most certainly don't tell them that it looks bad to order from multiple places at that the sametime ordering from Manchester Pizza." He continued to argue and never let me resolve the tipping issue which I had no problem with tipping. But what you're not going to do is bully me into doing it. He proceeds to tell me" I can no longer receive service cause I can't tip correctly and I ordered from another establishment at the sametime." Very poor attitude and customer service. Terrible customer service! We ordered food from work as a group and one of our group found a hair in her sandwich. The people were so rude and said everyone was bald there and there couldn't have been a hair in their food. Then they said they'd make her a new sandwich but they wanted some proof!?!? I have been a regular since COVID began. FIrst name basis when I call, which is super sweet. Extra crunchy french fries are a MUSTm and I never order fries.....they are fantastic. You can hear the crunch...yummy. Calamari is also to die for....I am an admitted addict. The seafood fra diavlo is most excellent as is "fish prince." Calzones are another delish choice. Always professional, sweet and kind. Every time. Food is packaged well. Nothing inventive but it's never leaked. Always arrived intact. Delivery drivers always take a moment to show their great personality. (Especially Mike) I don't recall them ever being late but if they were, I don't care. It's delivery. There's a road between us with people on it. Here's the scoop on the chow. -My ultimate favorite. Pasta Jambalaya. THE BEST DELIVERED meal I have ever experienced! An amazing array of flavors and textures with a perfect amount of heat. So much goodness. -NY Sirloin Steak. A real steak! At your door for under 20 bucks. Hard to find. I swap the mashed for pasta. -Steak Combo Grinder - outstanding! Great guts to bread ratio. A bit of gristle but they clearly start with a better cut of steak than most. Very satisfying. Other favorites that are done well: Veal parmigiana, chicken parm, turkey grinder, Italian grinder. Pizza has good crust, ample toppings. One of those Italian places that you will find all over CT. Creamy broccoli soup was on the salty side, but hit the spot after coming out of 20 degree weather. Rolls came out. They were...ok. There is a bottle of olive oil on the table, if they had a sprinkle jar of those 'roll dunking spices' so you could make a dish of bread dipping oil, that would elevate things a bit. The wife had the broiled stuffed shrimp. Usually you find this listed as 'baked stuffed shrimp' but I guess the broiler is the star here. Stuffing was kinda doughy, but the flavor profile was decent. She prefers the baked stuffed shrimp at the Chowder Pot in Hartford, but these will do in a pinch. She wasnt a fan of the rice pilaf that came with it. Said it was mundane. Or those boring, lame a$$ veggies they toss on the plate. You know what I mean, the broccoli and cauliflower and, I dunno, maybe a carrot or something. And they are just kinda steamed. Blahhhhh, gimme a squash mash or something!! Sooo.....side dishes are suspect! I went with the chicken in vodka sauce. One of the better vodka sauces around these here parts, so Im cranking my three star review to four. Chicken cubes were good, not dry at all. Portions were good. I didnt need a doggy bag, but I didnt want to eat any more either. Its easy to overdose on vodka sauce, its kinda rich and creamy, but its a change from your basic marinara. Worst place ever . First things first I received my order . That I payed for extra blue cheese & I received it with no extra blue cheese matter of fact actually no blue cheese on the wrap at all. And when I called to let them no I received the worst customer service ever . He proceeded to tell me that there was in fact blue cheese which was a lie and then had the nerve to say "so it's ruined because we forgot the blue cheese" OBVIOUSLY IF THATS MY FAVORITE PART . These reviews are crazy! Either the reviewer loves the food and has eaten from there regularly, or they hate the place because of an issue with a nasty owner. We have eaten there regularly for years and enjoyed mostly good food and service, but Friday night they must have been super-busy or dis-organized or something. Our delivered steak and cheese grinder turned out to be nothing but cheese bread. We called and they grudgingly replaced the order but wanted the cheese bread back as proof. I will NEVER go back as this owner Lenny is likely a short incident from a violent encounter with a complaining customer. It was simple. A takeout order that they screwed up on my wife's birthday. They demanded that to get credit I must return the food---not credit my card. So I need to drive 10 miles one way to get credit for their mistake and interact with people again. NO---not right! We can no longer support this establishment. What he said on the phone was a stream of vulgarities and name calling that was out of an R rated action flick. Manchester pizza is a solid 3.5 stars. It's your typical neighborhood American-Italian fare, nothing special, but everything is consistent. It's a simple place that seems to mainly cater to the locals but it's good. They typically offer nightly specials and there's plenty to order off of their regular menu. Service has always been attentive and adequate whenever I've been. I do thoroughly enjoy their pizza and they are usually my go to for take out. Their crust (somewhere between thin and thick) and sauce are delicious and are what makes it so good. I definitely recommend them for take out, and if you're in the area the restaurant isn't a bad option as well. read more

This is one of my local favorite spot! I come here quite frequently. It's perfect for when I'm on the go or come back late from work or even just too tired to cook. For six dollars you can get virtually any grinder and be full! Their small should really be a large. Incredible value for food....and it's tasty! Mom and pop feel. The staff is always courteous. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, going for a quick bite to eat, or just want to grab and go. There meatball grinders are fantastic! Manchester Grill is divided into two parts, one section is for dine in, the other is for takeout and pick ups. He pointed out how busy they were and that they make mistakes now and then. He then became extremely rude and disrespectful. It was so disturbing that I hung up. Got a medium pizza for takeout ate half Wednesday night. Eggplant tasted funny and got a stomach ache. Phoned Thursday afternoon, asked for the manager. Told the manager, then the owner, that all I wanted was an order of potato skins to compensate for the other half of the pizza that I was going to throw in the trash. Was told "I can't do that." I am sad to report that I have to give Manchester Pizza my first 1 star rating. When we lived in town, Manchester Pizza was like our second kitchen. We would order from them on average once every week with overall positive results. Unfortunately, on Friday night we had a terrible experience. My husband was in town and we decided to order take out. I placed the order at 5:45 pm. I was told our food would be ready for pick up in 15-20 minutes. My husband arrived at 6:10 pm to pick up our order to find out our calamari was not ready. They handed my husband our other food while he waited. My husband had to wait 45 minutes for the calamari. While he was there, the phone did not stop ringing with more orders and our other food got cold. After finally receiving our calamari at 7 pm, he drove home with our food only to discover that they did not give us our entire order. They forgot our chicken wings (in which we paid for). I am very disappointed. Manchester Pizza has good food however not good service. read more
