A small and great looking bread store on the Strip area in Pittsburgh. We tried a few different types from their samples and all were very delicious. Clearly this is place is a Pittsburgh legend for their bread, but did you know they also have some amazing breakfast sandwiches? Someone told me about their breakfast sandwiches over the weekend and it made my morning. There are several kinds to choose from, including spinach, feta and egg and sausage and egg. They're ginormous and cost only $4. Seriously, it might be a regular morning tradition when visiting the Strip. I have been eating mancini's bread for over 50 years. I went today and got a twist and a dozen sausage rolls. The bread was hard as a rock and the rolls were half the size they used to be. I had to cut my hot sausage in half so it would fit. I am very disappointed because they are usually the only place I get bread from. Please go back to your old ways of doing things. read more

This place has the best damn bread I have ever had. I come here every single weekend to stock back up on their hot dog buns, kaiser rolls and cinnamon swirl bread. I have only been to the strip district location and i can't get enough of this place (my waist not included).... Its a few blocks from my yoga studio and even after 90 painful minutes of sweating out carbs i always find myself back here. I recently discovered their basil pesto bread and it has become a weekly staple. It is simply the bomb. com. Fresh,soft and spicy. Just dip it in some olive oil and vinaigrette and you will be on cloud 9. I have always gotten my pizza dough and bread crumbs from here and they are both well made and cheap I refuse to shop anywhere else. Their breads stay fresh for a really long time too. My only wish is that they stayed open a little bit longer on weekdays (they close at 4 pm). read more

Oh how I adore Mancini's bread. Seriously, all of their breads are great because I cannot pick a favorite. Standing alone or with butter (my favorite), Mancini's bread has a delicately soft but dense bite that is really hard to come by. They really have their recipes down, have a large variety of fresh bake goods ever day and the employees are always nice. It is a little shop, entry is a little tight but it has a lot of the "Mom and Pop's Burgh" feeling that many of us adore. It may be small... you may have to wait to get in but it is truly worth it. Your mouth and tummy with thank you and you will be on the lookout for this bakery in local restaurant and specialty store. They are slowly branching out. When my family which is from Pittsburgh posted on Facebook that you could buy Mancini's bread online we were so excited. We love Mancini's bread (I even met Mr. Mancini years ago) so we went online and bought 4 loaves. Cost of the bread was reasonable at $10.00 for 4 loaves but freight was a whooping $18. I figured that was for speedy overnight freight since, hello, it's bread. They shipped on Tuesday (the only day they ship) and our STALE bread arrived Saturday October 10th. Unless you live in the Pittsburgh area stay away from this bread shipping scam. You have been warned. read more

I have had few experiences with Mancini's, but what I do know is that if I'm in the area I'm automatically expected to bring home a peperoni roll to my wife. They are quite good - and from a few samples it seems they have much more that is also quite good. The employees seem generally friendly. Now, I was only in here for a couple minutes while a friend bought a peperoni roll. I did however grab a sample of the cheddar jalapeño bread with garlic butter...WOW. It was soooo good.
