Wasn't sure what to expect with this new concept which has you ordering (sort of like fast food shop), but then staff brings you all the food items...Especially a full Italian menu! But wow! Their bread and garlic/olive oil dip was some of the best I've had...and we've eaten all over the world...so somewhat experienced. Ordered the meat lovers pizza and wasn't disappointed either! It was really expensive for what it was. The gelato was good, but I was a bit nervous to try the other flavors because they had a bunch of stuff on the very top. For example, the almond flavor had lots of almonds on the top of the gelato. I picked the safe choice of strawberry. The service was very good with us being greeted as soon as we walked with an explanation of how to order. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable. The food was just okay with the prices being too high for what you get which was the major downside. The prices were more in line with higher quality local restaurants with full service like Francesco's or Antonios. read more

Ate here tonight. There were 6 of us. I have to say, it was really good. Don't be fooled by the casual "order at the counter". The food is all cooked right in front of you "to order" in a very open kitchen. It is essentially the same as a sit down restaurant except you order at the counter. The service is excellent. Lots of staff. I hope they keep it staffed that way. We had 3 different pizzas, 2 different salads and the minestrone soup. Everything came out very hot. Because we set right by the kitchen we met Brandon, the kitchen manager. Super nice guy. Gave us some great ideas on how to change things up a little, and provided some nice little extras for us. Smart guy because one of the people at our table has a position that uses a lot of catering and he made fans out of us for sure. Really looking forward to coming back. We live close by and have visited many times. The food is great. I love the grilled chicken, the Caesar salad and the desserts (gelato, espresso cookies and cheesecake). I also really like the grilled vegetables - always delicious and a good alternative to pasta so I can save room for the desserts. The Wednesday night special (chicken Marsala) is exceptional. Tonight the owner was there. She came to our table and introduced herself. Her last name is Mandola- this is an actual family restaurant, not a chain with a made up Italian sounding name. I hope you will consider giving this restaurant a try. It is good to support family run businesses. read more

The food is not great nothing special. The chicken parm was not good how can you get this wrong! It tastes funny! I paid for fancy prices but had to order at like a lunch counter and had to pay high percentage tip for them to walk 8 steps with 2 plates. No one ever asked how the food was. We filled our own drinks and got our own take home container. I felt like I was sitting in a cheap pizza place but paid $60 for 2 very basic meals. They even give you the red glasses like at Pizza Hut!! Don't suggest this place at all! read more

First visit to Mandola's and we loved it! It's a fun restaurant with great prices and fresh food. We tried the pollo alla griglia and the chicken was well seasoned and the vegetables fresh. The focaccia was yummy as well! For dessert we tried the gelatos and they were just like the ones we had in Italy! The owner, Justin, and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome. This was my second time this week, and they haven't been open a whole week yet.... Everything is fresh and the pizza has a beautiful thin crust.... the salads come out on a nice chilled plate, it's those little things that make a restaurant stand apart from others.... The service is top notch, and you don't have to wait for someone to pick up your dirty plate or ask if you want or need anything.... You should definitely put this on your list of places to hit ..... And it is totally family friendly, complete with even 2 little guys tables... We will be back for sure.... read more

Remind me of being back in school when you walk in get your food and have a seat, but in this case you walk up place your order and they bring your food to you. You go over and you have to get your own drinks for the money we paid I'd rather have gone and sat down at a restaurant and had service. for the same price we could've sat down and been served completely. I think they need to rethink this because the food wasn't that bad but it wasn' that good for the price we paid. Like I said food from the school cafeteria. read more

The concept is unique and not what we expected. The complimentary bread was good though I found it a bit greasy. The margarita pizza and Caesar salad were delicious. However, the eggplant parm was a big disappointment. It was pure mush. No crispy pieces of eggplant. I'm not even sure they fried it at all. The sauce was flavorful but that is the only positive about the eggplant. Service and employees were top notch but we won't be back anytime soon. Too bad since we live so close. read more

I ordered the gf minestrone and it came out with pasta in it. I asked for no dairy on my salad and it came out with cheese all over it. My kids hated the gf pizza. They thought it tasted like cardboard. They only mark the menu as gluten sensitive. The owner rung up our order and never came out to talk to us, however the chef and other staff were very nice and apologetic. I do not recommend for celiacs. read more
