The food is getting 1 star because there were a lot of items that weren't available!! JUST CLOSE ALREADY. Service: We had to ask and remind our server that we needed EVERYTHING: soup (the soup came out 10 minutes after the food (reminder)), salt & pepper (multiple reminders), water (multiple times), no cheese on the burger (it was scrapped off). Went here with my friend on Saturday. We both started off with some drinks. I asked for a high noon and the server brought out a Jai Alai (IPA)... she insisted it was a high noon and I told her it was 100% not a high noon lol. She showed me the screen and it said Jai Alai... understandable confusion- they sound similar. She left the beer because we had sipped it and my friend decided she'd just drink it. The server ended up coming back and taking it which seemed weird? Anyways. We ordered our food (I got salmon sliders, she got burger sliders)... after about 30 minutes my sliders came out. Honestly- they were really good. Unfortunately they weren't hot. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the fish was tender. The buns were a bit dry and hard but the sauce helped. The fries were stale. My friend's burger sliders came out about 10 minutes later which I thought was odd because the restaurant was not packed at all. It's nice when everyone's food comes out together and it sucked mine came out first and was already cold. She asked for some ranch for her fries and it took literally 15 minutes to get it. Our server disappeared. We didn't even see ANY servers walking around for that amount of time. By the time my friend got the ranch she was done eating. The place definitely feels understaffed. It's disappointing because this place is such a vibe and it's in such an awesome area. The inside has good music playing, low lighting, lots of seating to go with friends... and the outside is awesome too because you get a view of everything going on and there is fans to keep you cool. Some music would be nice though (outside). Unfortunately I will not be returning. This was my second time trying this place out. My first experience was similar. Long wait times, bad service, mid food. The server was super sweet and kept apologizing but it was issue after issue. I hate to give bad reviews but this was just not a great experience. read more

Bar Louie in Winter Park is a nice stop before heading to the movies! We always grab a martini or two as well as their truffle fries. We also have ordered their fried pickles to go and brought them with us into the movies :) Bar Louie is your typical bar food, with a few options that are exceptions. But I wouldn't call the food "high quality" or "fancy" by any means. But if you need a snack or beverage before heading to the movies, it's a solid choice. My one complaint is the amount of olives in the dirty martini. I need at least 3 (see photo with 3 haha). But one time we went, and after our first round of martinis with only one olive, I asked for extra olives and she gave me two LOL. Like I said EXTRA not TWO. Also the bartender spilled a good chunk of the martini on the ground (we watched it happen) and she said nothing. So it can be hit or miss with the bartender, so keep that in mind. I'll still come back as they have a solid happy hour (Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm)! read more

Our experience there did not meet our expectations when going to any Bar Louie restaurant. Our waiter was polite and professional our entire time there. But the food selection and quality was not up to par. We did have a big group but the wait time was really long even though it wasn't peak hour. It took several attempts to get our orders right. My friends and I frequent here since it's a reliable spot, great happy hours, and amazing service. I love that it doesn't get too loud in there. Every time we've come here our. servers have been friendly, funny, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Martini Mondays will always see me, and they're a great deal! the food is also amazing they have a large selection for happy hour, i really recommend the margarita flatbread, the garlic, and the pesto are amazing on it. Jeremy, our server, was truly great. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left he made us feel welcomed and taken care of. I got a martini, so it was pretty simple, but my sister got a spicy watermelon marg and really enjoyed it (she mentioned she didn't like marg mixes and this one was recommended by our server). In terms of food, I got the burger sliders with tots and they were perfect for sharing. They came with a signature sauce, and we enjoyed them! Their drinks taste like they top off their alcohol, they missed the key sauce in my meal that makes the Monterey chicken taste good - the sauce, the food took a long time to come out even though the place was nearly empty, and the water tasted like dish soap. We were welcomed by Chris, and unfortunately - we came on the weekend where they didn't have a full menu due to one of their kitchen equipment being down. Not to worry - their limited menu was just the same. We shared the chicken Caesar salad and seared salmon, with a couple of beers and side cars to pair with. When I'm craving a good buffalo chicken flatbread, Bar Louie is my go-to. This was my first time visiting the Winter Park location, and overall, it was a good experience. We were seated right away, and our server greeted us shortly after. We stopped in for some small bites before catching a movie across the street, so we kept our order simple with the buffalo chicken flatbread, nachos and a couple of drinks. We were there only for small bites as we waited for our movie start. We ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread, nachos and drinks. As always, the buffalo flatbread did not disappoint--it's one of my favorites! The nachos were good too, perfect for sharing. I tried their version of a Moscow Mule, but I didn't enjoy it. First time trying Bar Louie at an invitation of my Yelp Bestie. It's in a great spot in Winter Park in a pretty nice area where the atmosphere welcomes hanging out. and relaxation. The restaurant fits perfectly in the area and it's pretty laid pack and chill. The service was excellent and my soup and grill cheese was amazing. Stopped by Bar Louie and was pleasantly surprised to find it pretty keto/carnivore-friendly. They offer a lettuce bun option for burgers, which was a big plus. It's always nice to have that flexibility without having to ask for a bunch of substitutions. That said, the overall experience was a nothing special. The food was decent, nothing bad, but also nothing that stood out. Flavors were pretty standard and forgettable. If you're just looking for a bite out that fits your diet, it'll do the trick, but don't expect to be wowed. Service, unfortunately, was sub par. Our server seemed distracted or just not very attentive. Definitely not the kind of service that makes you want to come back soon. I always graciously tip typically regardless of what the service but I was very disappointed at the server glaring at the screen as I pressed my tip option. I usually get one of their martinis on happy hour because those never disappoint here and they are quite strong (which I personally enjoy), especially the dirty martini and tequila one. When I was there last night I ordered a skinny margarita and it was great. I was there for an event so it was packed! Despite this, the bartender was still fast and nice. But since I haven't been here in a couple years I wanted to give it a shot again. I order today a dry rub chicken HOT wing platter for my friends and as we started eating we noticed it wasnt spicy. There were 4 of us so we all got 2 wings each as we were hoping for the heat to kick in. It seems the server gave us the wrong food. They didn't give us a new plate nor a discount. They offered a 20% discount for a new set of wings along with paying full price for the wrong order. Makes no sense why would I give them more money. So this it. I am done with Bar Louie. Decided to try this place as we were shopping in the area. It seemed like a very cool bar and they had great music but the food was sub par and we were hoping for better pub fare. The chicken was chewy and seemed to be over cooked and the salad was a sad plate of lettuce with a handful of cheddar cheese tossed on top. They should probably try harder since you can see Cheesecake Factory from our table.
