They still had a few tables unfilled when I went on a Friday night, but they don't really pay attention to you anyway. We had to get their attention, but they were very nice. The desserts took a bit of time to come, but we also ordered five desserts for our table. The place filled up when we were in the middle of eating, but they didn't rush us, so we forgave them for their inattention...I will say this is my go-to, sit-down dessert place in St. Marks because it's never too heavy and it's underappreciated so it's never too crowded. If you want a slice of cake, I wouldn't come here, but they have dessert soups and ice cream sundaes in Asian flavors like durian! read more

Honestly the quality are getting worse and worse. I used to live for Mangomango but now I barely go...and if I do it's usually because my friends want to. I know it's not exactly mango season but as a dessert place and sells mainly mango and the name of the store is Mangomango I expect WAY better quality and at least a bit sweet. There mango are super sour and sometimes hard too. I know it's not impossible to get sweet and nice mango because I've had it in other restaurants in this season too. There other bowls are just alright too. The herbal jelly satisfy a bit of your cravings but not anywhere close to my expectation. I grew up eating these so my expectations are high. You can even tell that everything is from a can. For example, I'm a big fan of Meet Fresh's Signature so the taro and yam's colour are much better and chewier but not hard or a bit powdery like they have been frozen for too long because that's what it tastes like today. The boba could be better but honestly it's decent. The red bean is sweet and nice but not sure if it's freshly cooked or out of a can. The grass (herbal) jelly is the worst. Totally obvious that it's out of a can..how can I tell? Well first, it barely tastes like anything and I've made them naturally as a kid so I know the consistency, colour, and texture differences. Second, when you bite into this herbal jelly it turns into pieces like plastic a bit but Meet Fresh's Signature or if you make homemade ones from not powder but the really thing (even the powder tastes much better tbh) it's smooth and melts in your mouth. This surely doesn't. The pudding is definitely out of a can and it's not even a good brand (quality pudding) but it can still pass for me. Honestly my all time favourite and only thing I'd recommend is their mango slush, but other than that I don't suggest it. There is a few occasions where the mango slush is not worth it either because it's so sour and just wasn't right, but sometimes it's amazing. I remember my boyfriend and I used to get mangomango's original slush at least 3 times a week now I can't remember the last time I got it. read more

one of the smallest and coziest dessert places - the mangoes are so fresh and delicious, everything is fresh and the perfect example of light and fresh asian desserts. i highly recomment the sweet potato balls with herbal jelly, the sweet potato balls were so amazingly chwey and there was a super silky egg pudding hidden underneath. the sticky rice was perfectly cooked and the coconut milk was so fragrant and the slush underneath was such a nice touch. read more

There was a bit of a wait when I went here. The vibe is definitely a much younger, noisier crowd. We finally got a table and waited several moments for the menus. I noticed the staff weren't paying much attention to the patrons. They were all gossiping and/or on their phones. Finally, a girl with... what I can only describe as odd makeup placement, came to take our order. I ordered mine first by pointing at the menu and when I looked at her to acknowledge she saw/heard me, she was looking elsewhere or at someone (most of my group later agreed she had to be looking at one of the guys with us as they happen to frequent the gym lol). I figured she must have looked away after I pointed because she nodded and didn't have an order pad. After the rest of the group told her their orders, she just nodded at each order, she collected all the menus, paused and asked me what I ordered. I looked at her and had to ask her for the menu again and not only did I point this time, but told her the entire name of what I wanted and she nodded and left. I exchanged looks and confirmed with the rest of the group... that she was just really... strange. We were a bit put off by that. Well, our orders arrived and she got each of them correct. Mango Mango is one of my favorite dessert places! The menu offerings bring me back to Hong Kong, and the desserts range from ice creams to mochi to soups. This location is also very convenient, a perfect place to stop by after you've explored the delicious restaurants around LES. Personally, my favorite dessert is the mango, pomelo with rice balls dish, which combines sweet mango with pomelo ("Chinese grapefruit") and mochi in a mango juice. I've also tried their black sesame with glutinous rice balls, their triple ice cream, and their tea. The ice cream melts quickly, so be ready to attack it right as it arrives, and the tea was incredibly sweet. Also, I love that they have free WiFi and ample space (although it does get crowded during peak hours!), making it a nice alternative to more conventional cafes. read more

It seems that we are going to give the first 1-star review. Ordered A21. It says $7 on the menu (either online and in store) but got a receipt says $8. There is total no notice about the different price except on the check. Asked the server and got a cold "it should be $8. It is always $8 in the system". No apologies. Looks like this is not their fault. Doesn't deserve any tip for this but I still give a 15% except $1. It's not the problem of $1, it's how you treat customers. Won't return anymore but if I would, I will dispute the whole check through the credit card. read more

I've been to the other mago mango in Brooklyn but I personally like this one better. They both have this same strange smell that lingers in the store and up to this day I have no clue what it is. The staff work really fast to get your order and everything tends to come out quickly. Some of the crepes tend to be lacking in taste like the mango crepe and cake. But everything else is pretty tasty. The place is usually full so going around lunch time or early noon is ideal so that you don't have to wait a long time. read more

The presentation of the desserts look nice, but doesn't taste very good. The mango ice cream and durian ice cream didn't taste very fresh. The only dessert that was good as the Durian Mille crepe. Staffs were rude, and we had to wait 15-20 for two orders of dessert. When I asked why was it taking forever, the waitress told me that hot desserts and waffle takes longer. She should have told us that before we order them. We got the hot sesame and the waffle with coconut ice cream. The hot sesame was fine but our waffle came burnt and the coconut ice cream was weirdly sticky. My glass of water was oily and cloudy and when I asked the waitress to change it she was giving me attitude.
