A month or so ago I would've rated this place at least 4 stars if not 5. After the previous order, (thought it was just a bad day so I said nothing) and then today 2 stars is being generous. The food has come either made completely wrong or missing an item[s] all together. After calling to double check and making sure the order would arrive made correctly, and being instantly greeted on the phone by extreme rudeness via the woman who answered, the order STILL arrived wrong. After recalling and again being "greeted" by the rude, grumpy girl she continues to blame the driver for the mistakes. I'm sorry Miss, was is not just you who took the order and should have wrote the specifications down? Is the driver also the chef, who for the record doesn't even know how to toast a bagel correctly? I doubt that, and for how over priced they are to begin with compared to everything else in the area, the least they could do is get the order correct. An apology for royally screwing up our order would've honestly been nice. I understand things are tough right now with everything going on, but being polite when you answer a phone call from a customer should not be something affected by a pandemic, if anything you should be treating people with a little extra kindness. There is a woman with short, reddish hair who is super rude and downright nasty to not only the workers behind the counter, but also customers. I've been to this location on two occasions now and without fail she is either cursing up a storm, making rude remarks, and/or mumbling under her breath. She makes it very clear when she is unhappy and it's unnecessary. I will never make my way back there AND I've already been spreading the word to not set foot in that bagel store. No need to make customers feel uncomfortable... it's not how you keep a business flourishing. I received the incorrect take-out order twice in a row, within a matter of a few weeks. Both times, I ordered my bagel sandwich in person, in the store, and both times my order was incorrect. When you order takeout, you can't see the sandwich because they give it to you wrapped up and in a cardboard container. My most recent order - I simply ordered egg whites, cheese and avocado on an asiago bagel. When I got home, I had a sloppy sandwich with turkey bacon, giant pieces of leaf lettuce and tomato, and no cheese! They did include the egg whites and avocado. But the egg whites were runny. The sandwich was so sloppy, I had to eat it with a knife and fork, and I had to throw out the giant leaves of lettuce. A few weeks ago, I ordered the pulled pork on a bagel and specifically told them no egg! When I got home, the bagel had an over easy sloppy egg that dripped over and soaked the entire bagel. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have tossed it. Very disappointed in their service/employees. read more

We went in there yesterday after taking the dog to the Vets and figured we would pick up some bagels and cream cheese for the kids. We usually go to Sunrise and another bagel place is across the street, so what the heck. Pretty bad decision on our part. The bagels are not the same as what we are accustomed to and the cream cheese is prepackaged. My wife asked for olive cream cheese and the young lady working the register says "we don't sell olive but most customers get the scallion instead". My wife replies "the two of them taste nothing alike". The long and short of it is that we bought the bagels and cream cheese and we were severely disappointed. We will never be back! read more

This was my first visit to a Manhattan Bagel. It was noon on a Tuesday afternoon on my borderline sick day. It was busier than I'd expect it to be. I ordered an Empire State Club which came with a small cup of fruit which was my choice over potato salad. It was a little difficult to hear because of the music playing plus the humming noise that's situated at the order counter. I enjoyed my meal while watching local cable news and listening to Elvis Presely and Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band . As for as sandwiches go, I prefer a Blimpie or Subway but it was fine. Walked in, and the line was all over the place, super disorganized. I asked where the line was starting because there's registers at opposite ends of the counter. And people were huddled around those and the bagel section. It was genuinely confusing. And when I asked, some lady manager in a black shirt started screaming at me in front of everyone. I previously was told by another employee that the line was a certain way, so I explained that to the "manager". She screamed at me and told me the girl was new. How would I know that? I can't read minds. Seriously, the manager is a hag. I couldn't believe how rude she was. I hope the owner sees this and fires her. I'm genuinely disgusted. Very slow service expect to take 5 minutes to get a bagel. The manager says who is next and he tells you to stand at a register to get service. How about putting up a sign or some ropes so the customer knows what you want, or how about a cashier to take the order so it does not take so long go to Sams by shoprite to see a well organized operation. Taylor ham, egg, cheese. Only provide 4 extremely thin slices of Taylor ham. Should be cut thicker with 3 slices just like the other 8 bagel places in town. Also only one egg (which is standard) but with skimping on the meat you think they'd try to justify it with an extra egg. Quality is good but he not the correct portion. read more

Bagels are ok The only problem is when it gets busy they tend to mess up your order or even delete your order. I ordered a chicken salad on wheat bagel and when I got home it was on toasted bread! Mediocre bagels. It is worth the extra 5 minute drive to go to Sam's, Bagel Stop, or Sunrise. I don't know what it is but the quality of the bagels just don't compare to others in town.
