My wife and I ordered pasta meals. I ordered Eggplant Parm and Wife ordered baked Ziti take out. We were both disappointed with the meals. Our biggest issue was the lack of sauce, the pasta was very dry, hardly no sauce. Plenty of melted cheese on top. When I got home and tried to eat the meal I had to open a jar of sauce and re plate and reheat the meal. I will not buy another pasta meal from Manhattan Pizza again. New location and visited for take out last night. Really great, personable service and the food was just as good. Ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and an Italian hoagie- and of course, gelato! Can't wait to try their pizza. The menu had a large selection of items from Italian dishes to Greek salads and gyros. The industrial style decor is nice with plenty of tables and booths, as well as comfy seating (think Starbucks lounge style chairs) for waiting for take out. I do see this Harris Teeter parking lot being an issue to just run in and grab take out after work, as it is nearly impossible to find close parking in the later afternoons/evenings, but that's no fault of Manhattan Pizza. I ordered a Margarita pizza and a tomato only pizza brought to me. When I pointed it out to the girl working the register who brought my order to the table, walked away then returned to ask me what goes on a margarita pizza. We started ordering delivery from them recently and I can't seem to stop. The pizza crust is the right amount of dough and cooked perfectly. And this statement is coming from a New York girl. I had issues three weeks in a row with my takeout pizza being cold (including the box) upon picking it up at the designated time. So this past Saturday night I made it a point to get there 10 minutes earlier in hopes of picking up a hot pizza. When I arrived, they hadn't even started to make the pizza yet. I waited another 35 minutes before it was ready and didn't even get an apology from the "I don't want to be here anyway" cashier. We tried Manhattan Pizza for the first time today, it was a MISTAKE! We live 5 minutes from this location in Falls River, the pizzas we ordered took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive- for 1 small and 1 medium pizza. We also ordered 1 of their fried zucchini..that's it and it took an hour and 15 minutes?? The pizzas weren't that elaborate, we only ordered pepperoni with pineapple and one pepperoni with artichoke. When the pizza did arrive, it was cold and we had to heat it in the microwave. There was minimal artichoke on the one pizza and the zucchini sticks were limp and cold also. Maybe they have too many things on their menu to concentrate on pizza, I don't know, but this could have been way better. I think we will stick to Marcos Pizza. read more

I think this is the best pizza in the area. My husband and I just happened to find this gem one day exploring. I ordered as small cheese pizza and some bbq wings and garlic knots. After we got home with our pizza we realized it was wrong. I called the restaurant and the girl answering the phone offered for me to speak with the manager. He immediately picked up and offered his apologies. He said he would have a new pizza made up right away and hand deliver it to us. He did! Moved to the Raleigh area approx 1 year ago. While we updated our new home in the area and our kitchen was our main focus. We had a chance to try the local cuisine in the Raleigh area. Manhattan Pizza was one of the best pizza places to get pizza out of approx 10 that we tried. They also have the best gyro sandwiches which we actually went for in the first place. And we have tried gyro sandwiches in about 4 other places. They come the closest by far in the area that we came from in Michigan. Not a good pizza reminds me of a frozen pizza that they have thawed out with a few toppings on it and then put in the oven and cooked. I should've known better on a Saturday night when we were the only people in the place never been a big fan of any place that didn't have a waitress where you order from the counter, very disappointing. When I called to speak with the manager to request a refund, I was told I could get a 10% discount on next order. That is not acceptable after spending $33. New-ish to the area, different, close to my house, large selection of food choices, I heard the people were nice...it ended up being a waste of almost $30 for a small pizza and some wings. The pizza was very thin, had very little sauce, cheese, or toppings on it, and it wasn't even cut properly. It had NO flavor. Thursday at lunch they had to cancel my order because they we're training new cooks and they couldn't make pizza or garlic knots because the new cooks were too slow. Saturday night I decided to give them another chance. Placed an order online. App said it would be ready in 35 minutes. Arrived at the store 35 minutes later and they had even started cooking it. I am OBSESSED with this place!! They have, "make your own" gelato pops that are to DIE for -- pick a flavor of gelato, get it dipped, add your toppings and some drizzle. If it sounds decadent, that's because it is!! They have sizes to fit all figures and, trust me, the extra sit-ups will be worth it. Very disappointing. I read tons of reviews before ordering, all singing their praises. I placed an online order at 4 PM for delivery at 6 PM. The pizza did not even leave the restaurant until 6:20 PM. Why did I bother getting in the queue. Ordered medium pizzas. Shame on me for not checking the size measurement. Tonight we got a large pie and they told us an hour which was fine cause it's a rainy sunday night. It showed up 90 minutes later stone cold and I do mean stone cold.
