    Khao Soi, so good
    D. C.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and so glad we finally did! Authentic flavors (not sweet!), well-balanced, the mild is actually mild so they accommodate different tastes. The plating and decor made our lunch feel like a special treat. I'll return for the roast duck and khao soi, as well as the excellent service. Scott is a GEM! I'm so glad he was there for my parents' first visit. May return for the lunch special as the portion sizes looked enticing for $15.

Manon is a Thai restaurant in Fullerton that faces the street, though it's easy to miss if you're not looking closely. Despite being relatively new in the community, it has already built quite a crowd. We finally stopped by for dinner and ended up waiting about 39 minutes for a table a couple tables were reserved and not enough staff to clean some empty tables. The area is very tight as the restaurant is trying to squeeze in as many tables as possible. The entrance has a shelf that sells local Thai treats. Even with the crowd, the staff worked hard to quickly accommodate the crowd. Once we were seated, service moved fast and efficiently. The servers quickly take your orders so don't browse the menu too long, as they moved so quickly that it was best to order everything you needed at once because you might not see them again until it was time for the bill.

If your craving Thai food and in the Yorba Linda/fullerton area. This is a great place for Thai food. I usually go to get Thai food in garden grove, but this place satisfy my Thai cravings. Pulling up to this spot, the front parking lot area is limited but there is plenty behind the plaza. Service: waiters our attentive and give good recommendation. I came around 12:30pm and it was busy. We got our first dish 15 minutes after we ordered. I wish they were able to get it all out within each other since we had 4 people in our party. The interior is welcoming, modern, clean, good flow of ac, and spacious. Food: we got the pad see ew, pad Thai, and Penang Nuer. All were good, flavorful. They were but smaller portion but all four of us were comfortablly full. My favorite was the Penang Nuer!

Manon was delicious!! I am satisfied my Thai food craving right away . We came about an hour before closing after a game, and we were lucky enough to be seated immediately and get our food quickly. The staff was so sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. The inside is also super cute, with lots of little trinkets and snacks that add to the vibe. It's definitely a great spot to take someone. I didn't even realize Fullerton had a place like this! As for the food, everything was amazing. We ordered the Tom Kha Soup, Crying Tiger, Pad Thai, and Thai fried rice. The highlight of the night was definitely the Pad Thai. It was perfect and just so fresh, and the flavor was just immaculate. You can never go wrong with pad thai!! I personally love shrimp with it but we did chicken today and I loved it! Definitely will be coming again

We were so hyped to come here. My family loves Thai food so we always look forward to good Thai spots and this was on the list. We came on a Wed evening right before the evening rush. There was ample parking. The staff seated us right away and we're very friendly! The place is cute! We tried their Thai tea flight. Overall, it was just ok. There were 2 milky ones and 2 fruity ones. The milky ones were the only ones we liked. We ordered a pork belly with Chinese broccoli, pad see ew, crab fried rice and a fried fish dish. The pork belly in the dish was not crispy. The pad see ew wasn't very flavorful. The crab fried rice came late and wasn't very crabby. The best thing we had was the fried fish with lemon grass. Im glad we finally gave it a try but will definitely be trying other Thai spots in the area.

I hadn't visited this Thai spot since the new Manon ownership took over and it's noticeably busier now - probably due to a stronger social media presence? I ordered takeout, so I can't comment on the dine-in experience. I got a few orders of pad see ew and the portion sizes were solid. The noodles were slightly overcooked and broke apart a bit easily, but the flavor leaned pleasantly sweet. I didn't mind it, especially after adding some sambal chili and jalapeños for a little extra kick. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Such a great spot & service is wonderful. We ordered take out the first time we discovered this place & everything was packaged well & it was still piping hot by the time we got back to our home. We stopped in yesterday to dine in & service was great! Food was amazing per usual, but my one request is to PLEASE bring back the Lui Suan! Please! I was so so sad when I looked at the menu & saw I was not able to order fresh spring rolls! The pad kee Mao was delish as well, hubby ordered it spicy & it had a nice kick!

Hm I have mixed feelings about this place now. I came back a second time but with my pops after telling him how tasty the food was. We both enjoyed the food but the service was lacking. I get that they are busy but that's no excuse for subpar service. I came around 520 to get a table for 2. I walked in with one small table left and was sat soon and water after. When I asked for 2 more minutes before I order, I wasn't helped until another 10 minutes. My dad came right when I was ordering drinks and they were out of any creamy based teas even though they weren't closed until another 3+ hours. I ended up getting a coke and the waiter didn't even bother asking what my dad wanted to drink so I called her back immediately. Im sorry, but im not waiting another 10 minutes just to order again. Although we ordered 2 coke drinks, they brought out only one coke, so we gave a reminder. While we waited, we asked to be moved to a bigger table because of the amount of food we ordered and eventually we were moved. The tom yum soup came out and even though I asked for seafood, they gave us shrimp only so we returned it. When the soup returned, we asked twice for our rice bowl and it took a total of 20 minutes for a bowl of rice. Around 630 our final items came out which was the grilled squid and morning glory. 2 male workers came by and apologized for the delay and treated us to desserts, which was appreciated. However, after that we also had a laos style papaya salad takeout for my dad's friend. I opened it to check it and saw that they gave one bit of salty crab meanwhile the table next to us who ordered the same salad got many pieces from what I saw. That's just annoying given the salad was over $15. They probably were running out of the crab and had one claw piece left and added it to the salad and called it a day or did it for whatever reason. Either way, it reflects poorly on the business. If it wasn't for my dad being apprehensive, I wouldnt have mind saying something. I was going to take a picture of that sad salad but that would have been embarrassing for the restaurant. I expected more consistency with this place. 2.5 stars and that's being nice.

Got the Khao Soi and Broccoli stir fried to share!! I looooove khao soi and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The broth was a perfect thickness-- good curry sauce to soup ratio :) There was also a decent amount of chicken, cooked perfectly might I add. The Broccoli stir fried comes with rice and choice of protein as well, but we opted out of the protein option. Honestly, it was good but I wouldn't order again simply because I feel like I can make it at home but again, it was GOOD! Staff was super kind and attentive but not overbearing!! They were also doing a little Easter game where you can pick an Easter egg for prizes, we got chips!!! I really like the interior too! Nice lighting and light wood decor :)

    Morning glory with pork

Tammy was very sweet! Great service from everyone. This tom yum soup was the best I've ever had, so much depth, flavor and they did NOT skimp on the seafood at all (add on), with the fish, mussels, shrimp etc. I'll be craving this for sure. The crab fried rice was amazing with the sauce, the morning glory with crispy pork, curry was really good, and the taro iced tea was very refreshing! We will definitely be back.

4.5/5. Everything hit just as hard as my asian parents used to hit me as a kid. The pork was a bit tuff and lowkey hurt to eat but I still ate cuz im fat. I would def come here again it's supah cutey

We ordered the Pad Thai, Green Curry lunch special, Roti Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Papaya Salad -- honestly every dish was delicious and full of authentic Thai flavor! The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced, sweet, savory, and super satisfying The Green Curry was rich, creamy, and comforting with just the right amount of spice The Roti Curry was one of my favorites... crispy buttery roti dipped into the warm curry sauce = SO GOOD! And the Pineapple Fried Rice came beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Papaya Salad added the perfect fresh and refreshing kick! Such a cozy spot with great lunch specials and generous portions. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the Fullerton area and craving Thai food! Service is good too! And free parking. Thank you Manon for the delicious meal. We'll definitely be back!

    Roti Curry

I LOVE this place down. If cozy, beautiful Thai restaurants are your thing, then Manon needs to be on your radar. The moment you walk in, the space just feels warm and inviting, like you've stepped into someone's stylish, homey kitchen where you know the food is about to be amazing. The lighting is soft, the interior is stunning, and the whole place has this relaxed, welcoming energy that makes you want to sit, eat, and catch up with friends for hours. Staff was friendly and welcoming as well. Roti Curry (5/5) If you come here and skip this, you're doing yourself a disservice. The flatbread is perfectly crispy and golden, and it comes with this rich curry sauce that you dip it into. That first bite? Absolutely ridiculous. The roti soaks up the curry and suddenly you're wondering why every appetizer doesn't come with a dipping sauce this good. It was easily one of the most memorable bites of the night. I just wish there was a larger portion size of the Roti! Crab Fried Rice (4.5/5) Sometimes simple dishes really do shine the brightest. The rice was perfectly cooked with generous pieces of crab mixed throughout. Nothing overly complicated here, just clean, balanced flavors that let the crab do its thing. Simple. Flavorful. Absolutely delicious. Kra Paw (5/5) Another standout. This stir-fried dish with pork, garlic, chili, onion, and basil came out incredibly fragrant & aromatic. You could smell the basil and garlic immediately. The chili brings a nice kick, while the basil gives the dish that signature Thai herbal depth that ties everything together. Every bite felt bold, savory, and super satisfying. Larb Ped (3.5/5) Definitely leans brighter and more refreshing compared to the other dishes. The duck is tossed with red onion, scallions, lime juice, chili, and roasted rice powder. That roasted rice powder adds this slightly nutty, toasty flavor and a bit of texture, while the lime gives it a tangy citrus punch. It's zesty, herb-forward, and has a light heat that slowly builds. If it was just slightly warmer, I would have given it a higher rating but overall, still a good dish to try. Overall, the food, ambiance, and vibe at Manon made this such a great dining experience. Between the cozy atmosphere and the bold, aromatic flavors coming out of the kitchen, it's the kind of spot you leave already thinking about what you want to order next time.

Everything was delicious, but the crab appetizer really stole the show. Perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside -- I'm still craving it! The Pad See Ew had that smoky wok flavor with tender noodles, and the chicken satay was juicy and paired great with the sauce. Unlike Filipino pickled version, there's more like a salad. Dressing is perfectly balance and not too tart. I highly recommend it! Crispy Pork Belly is a great appetizer. It pairs well with the seafood sauce and cucumber salad that comes with it. Chicken satay is also tasty, really like the peanut sauce. The pad thai noodle with chicken is solid as well as Pad Wood Sen (glass noodles). I love the wide noodles they use on Pad See Ew, it helps absorb a lot of savory flavors from garlic and soy sauce. Also, Red Curry Beef is terrific, curry flavor is on point and perfect. Their special Garden Trout is very good. It's basically fried fish topped with mango herb salad which everyone loves. I thought spicy catfish was ok, bit spicy for my palette. The house fried rice and stir fried seasonal vegetables are good accompaniment to your meal. Mango Sticky Rice is so divine and perfect way to cap off your meal. Mangos are always ripe and sweet, even better with ice cream. Don't skip on this! This Thai spot in Tustin, Manaao Thai Comfort Food, had been on my foodie list for a while ever…read moresince it opened in 2023. Not long after opening, it was featured by the LA Times / Daily Pilot, and then quickly blew up on TikTok and IG foodie circles across OC. Dinner starts at 4:30 PM, and we arrived around 4:10. Even then, people were already waiting in their cars. We walked around the plaza for a bit, but when we came back at 4:28, a line had already formed outside. They use a Yelp waitlist kiosk at the entrance, and we were already the third party in line. The restaurant has around 25+ tables, and within minutes of opening, the place filled up fast. By the time our first dish arrived, the line outside was packed. Definitely glad we came early, this place gets busy FAST. We ordered: 1. Khao Soi Noodle $28 One of the LA Times' "Best Dishes of 2023," and honestly the standout of the night. The rich yellow curry broth with coconut milk had a nice spicy kick without being overly salty. It came with crispy noodles on top, softer noodles underneath, plus crispy soft-shell crab that added great texture. The lime and diced onions on the side helped brighten everything up too. Very flavorful and worth trying, although $28 still feels a little pricey. 2. Gaeng Som (Thai Sour Curry Fish Soup) $28 A mildly sour and spicy curry fish soup with crispy fish, green papaya, daikon, carrots, and long beans. The flavor actually reminded me a bit of Korean spicy fish stew, but with stronger sourness and herbal notes. Great with rice, though again, the price feels high for the portion. 3. Thai Hainan Chicken Rice $18 This was probably the weakest dish we ordered. The chicken was very soft but lacked flavor, and the soup was pretty bland. Honestly, I prefer the Vietnamese-style chicken rice in Little Saigon more. The rice itself paired nicely with the stronger curry dishes though. 4. Thai Milk Tea $6 Less sweet than most Thai restaurants, which I really appreciated. Much more balanced and not overly sugary. Overall, Manaao feels more authentic and regional compared to many Americanized Thai restaurants in OC. The menu goes beyond the usual Pad Thai staples, and the flavors definitely have more depth. That said, prices are on the higher side, and portions aren't huge. Three dishes can easily run over $70. Still, I can see why this place became so popular. The owner apparently used to work as a web developer before starting to cook hometown Thai dishes during the pandemic, eventually opening Manaao with his wife to focus on authentic Thai comfort food. They're already expanding to Irvine Spectrum near Din Tai Fung. Out of everything we tried, the Khao Soi was definitely the must-order dish for me. Would I wait an hour for it though? Personally... probably not! Manaao Thai Comfort Food 13842 Newport Ave Unit F, Tustin, CA 92780
