    Chicken salad melt

Came here for a casual dinner last Friday. The service was great. The food was really tasty too. They have a ton of great options on their menu. We got the chicken salad melt and the chicken Philly. Would recommend!

I met a friend here for lunch before visiting the Carter Center. Such a cool place, with so much history and character! Lots of memorabilia, which I enjoyed perusing with my friend. Such a fun place to visit! I had the chicken Philly, and my friend had the cheesesteak. Both were delicious! Service was good too!

Fried chicken tenders with fries and horseradish sauce!:

I got food from this restaurant for the first time on 10/14/2025: through Uber Eats. I got the chicken tenders with fries and horseradish sauce which is delicious. I saw on IG that they actually have a fried chicken dinner now I wish that was a choice on Uber Eats. Food taste good I like how the chef cooked it and how it's prepped.

U know the place. Been here forever. My review ain't gonna provide any greater insight into this enthralling Highlands eatery ;) I really Missed This Place Living OTP past 15 yrs. :/ The relaxed, kind vibe of this tavern remains as strong as ever. Classic Bar- Gots wide variety on menu, and ready for any custom requests- ask young Stuart. Not surprised the menu really hasn't changed over the years.. .. The Quesadillas, Wings, & Brunswick Stew haven't gone anywhere; They's even added a Beyond Burger :0 ;) Will be backs.

    French Dip with Fries

First visit to this iconic establishment. Very cool inside, reeks with nostalgia. I had the French dip sandwich, adding peppers and onions; it came with a side of fries. Sandwich was good. The sour cream/horseradish sauce that came with it was more or less sour cream with just a faint hint of horseradish (would have preferred more horseradish). I'm just gonna hang out here man. I'll just hang here that's fine. I don't recall ever having horrible ketchup, that is until I came here. The ketchup they offer is very vinegary and just plain nasty. Fortunately, they had one other brand that was organic, and it was fine tasting. Service was good. They have a full bar with several draft offerings.

We threw a surprise birthday party for my friend and I am so glad we chose Manuel's. This was my first time at the restaurant and I honestly will be back. The venue has a neighborhood feel. The hardwood floors are great with the natural design aesthetic. The big windows provide ample natural light and allow you to experience the area as a whole while sitting inside. We booked the back room which is a huge area. There is also a speaker connection which is great as it allows you to create your own ambiance that you desire. There is also a curtain you can close which allows for you to be off in your own world while still being present at the venue. Along with the booking, you get your own servers for the room. This is a great addition as it makes the service and experience as a whole very personal. The service provided was amazing. The servers were friendly. They knew the food and drink menu very well and were able to keep everyone's orders in order and keep away from any confusion or mix ups. The food at Manuel's was AMAZING! I decided on the Steak Quesadilla with a side of Tater Tots. I'll be honest, I think I'm addicted. LoL!!! The steak in the quesadilla was tender, meaty, seasoned, and most of all a perfect portion. The quesadilla as a whole is a healthy portion and great as a personal meal or one to share. (I want another one now. LoL!)... the Tater Tots took me back to childhood. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were a perfect pairing for the Quesadilla. Furthermore, the fixings that come with the quesadilla were fresh and good. Can you tell I enjoyed my meal? Overall this was a great experience. Manuel's is perfect for a group of friends or a personal meal. You can't go wrong with dropping in.

During my visit to Atlanta, this was my favorite restaurant. I sat at the bar for lunch and was quickly greeted by Melanie, the bartender. This spot feels like a neighborhood hangout; staff knew customers names but also greeted me with same enthusiasm. I had the special, the salmon BLT, and it was quite good. The food came out quickly and hot. The next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll definitely stop in again.

My first visit to Manuel's was a pure delight! Parking was easy breazy and that's saying a lot for Atlanta restaurants. This alone will encourage me to dine here again and again. The restaurant is big and spacious. The server was so friendly and personable. I ordered a half rack of the slow cooked House Ribs along with collard greens and mashed potatoes. They were to die for. My lunch companions ordered the Hot Dog Plate with chilli added. The hot dog plate comes with two delicious hot dogs, they ordered the collard greens. My other lunch compaion ordered the Country Fried Stake, it was huge and topped with white pepper gravy, along with collard greens, mashed potatoes and a third side came with that dish as well which was red beans and rice. I'm not sure if that was a special yesterday or it comes with three. Everyone enjoyed their meal. For dessert I ordered the delicious Blueberry pie with ice cream, I was excited to see two heaping scoops. I'm happy I finally got a chance to visit the best voted neighborhood bar in Atlanta! I can't wait to come here again.

    10 terry sauce wings
    Emily G.

I enjoyed this place! Gave me dive bar vibes, but bigger. There is a free parking lot behind the building. Inside, it's a seat yourself kind of joint. Their drink menu was huge. Opted to order 10 wings Terry sauce style which is an extra $1 upcharge from buffalo. I did not enjoy the sauce at all, it was kind of like a sweet and spicy peppery sauce, but the size and taste of chicken was amazing. I would order again with a different sauce. The tots with ranch were delicious. My companion ordered the chicken fried steak and really enjoyed it! I'd recommend this place

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! The bartender named Jack was sweet and entertaining considering it was a slow night. He flirted a lot with my friend and it was a silly moment. We went back to enjoy a night out again before heading home the next day and Jack was there again. Because my friend had had such a good time chatting with him before she flirted back a little bit and was just enjoying the night. We ordered food and drinks and things were going well. Throughout the night Jack and my friend would sneak off and talk and make out while he was on the clock. None of this mattered to me because who cares, it's a bar, we're young and just having a bit of fun. However after we left the bar he texted my friend that it was "messed up" we only tipped 15% on our $193 bill claiming he "took care of so much" for us. I'm not even sure what that means because again - our bill for that night was almost $200. The food was amazing - I need the salsa recipe STAT - but overall the bartender ended up being kind of a jerk that seemed like he was just doing all this to get laid. Earlier this week (mind you it's July) I went back to give this place a second chance and the bartender mentioned before - JACK - was asked by one of my friends if we could get green tea shots and he felt it appropriate to confront me about this review. I apologized if my math was wrong because he claimed i only tipped 13% & not 15% was constantly saying "20% is standard" (not true but whatever) and then when i said he claimed to take care of so much HE claimed the bill should've been $250 and then said "but i understand your white entitlement lets you think you can do whatever" (idk i blacked out with rage after "white entitlement") MIND YOU you i'm half chinese not that it matters, jack - cause i know you're reading this - & i of course got heated because HES ALSO WHITE so clearly HIS white entitlement lets him think he can be hateful to patrons for reviews regardless of wether or not they try to take ownership of their faults. Needless to say the staff here is awful and I will NEVER come back to this bar so enjoy that win, Jack.

He specifically wanted to take advantage of their Monday prime rib special, which is just $20. I'm not much of a prime rib person, but I decided to tag along--and I'm really glad I did. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. It wasn't overly loud or crowded, and the décor created a relaxed, comfortable vibe that made for a great dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. My friend ordered the prime rib and requested it Pittsburgh-style seared. I ordered the steak burger cooked medium-well. Unfortunately, my burger came out a little more well-done than I prefer, so it wasn't as juicy as I had hoped. My friend also felt his prime rib was a bit more undercooked than expected. Neither dish was bad, but they both missed the mark just enough that I'd give the food a 3 out of 5. One thing that absolutely deserves a shoutout was the tomato jelly that came with my burger. It was incredible! It tasted like the perfect blend of ketchup and jelly--slightly sweet but not overly sweet, with just the right balance of flavor. I ended up dipping my fries in it, and it was so good that I'd gladly order it again. It was easily one of the most memorable parts of the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our server, Sam, was outstanding. He was personable, attentive, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. Great service can completely change a dining experience, and Sam did exactly that. Overall, while the food had room for improvement, the atmosphere and exceptional customer service more than made up for it.
