The food was phenomenal--perfectly cooked steaks, fire roasted seafood tower, and cocktails to die for. My partner fell in love with the wine list. The list can go on. We were the biggest fans of Maple & Ash when we lived in Chicago, so we were soooo happy when it opened here in Miami. It feels like the perfect mix of what we loved before, great energy, and a let's-celebrate kind of atmosphere, now paired with Miami's coastal style. The food? F*@cking fantastic!!! The steaks are unreal, the seafood is super fresh, and every dish hits the mark. Service was friendly, fun, and made the whole night feel special without being stuffy. I'd have to say this place is rating pretty close to my favorite restaurant in Miami... there was quite a wait for a table even with a resy (i was a party of one on opening night) so I decided to get a drink at the bar while I waited. The bartenders were friendly ... I randomly asked a gentleman (hernando) for an update on my table and he ended up providing exceptional service from start to finish. I'm honestly sad that he is going back to the Chicago location ... Lauren was my waitress, she was super busy, but still managed to be very attentive. I went to maple and ash for my husband's birthday and WOWW! I was blown away!!! This has to be the best food I've had in a very long time. I had booked the birthday menu sign for my husband and it brought complementary drinks! Also my waiter brought out the best ceviche and it was also on the house for his birthday. I have been waiting for this opening for many many years. Maple in Chicaho is my favorite steakhouse in the country. Miami hasn't had a great steakhouse since Las Vacas closed #RIP. This was my sixth time visiting the restaurant and sneak peak of their lounge. Food was exceptional : Hot Seafood tower is incredible ! Steaks were all prepared to correct temperature, not over salted . My girlfriend is vegetarian and there are plenty of options for her too. Wine / beverage program : Incredible cocktail program, all fun and well balanced. The wine list is amazing and they are just getting started. Service: Our server Gus was amazing , didn't rush us and helped guide us through our experience . Bartender Daniel remembers us and our drink orders, sometimes suggests us trying other cocktails. Derek the maitre d was very friendly and makes us feel at home every time we return. This should be the new standard of what all the other restaurants lack in Miami. No turn and burn mentality. Shoutout to Chef Danny Grant: Had the pleasure of meeting him and taking one , two, or tree shots with our group Overall : Maple is a great time! They really make our experience fun! Wasn't going to do this because I like settling things personally but my email seems to have been ignored. Below is the email I sent to management about my experience: Good afternoon, I want to submit a formal complaint regarding my experience at your establishment. I went on Saturday to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and I will say that due to how I was treated that night I probably will not be a returning customer. Here's why? First, when the waitress asked us which water we preferred (sparkling or still) I responded still as normally still means tap water which is free. Only to my surprise later when the bill came that I had unknowingly agreed to pay $24 for two relatively small bottles of water. Why did the waitress not have the consideration to explain to us that I was going to be charged for the most expensive bottle of water I've ever purchased? Secondly, the lack of consideration for me and girlfriends time that night was downright insulting. A couple was sat next to us an hour into our dinner and ordered very similar items off the menu and for some reason they were in and out before we even received our entrees. Do you think the waitress ever came to us once to reassure us that our food would be out shortly? No! Instead we sat there for probably 45 minutes in between our appetizers and entrees. Then the staff wasn't even nice enough to offer us a concession of some sort to make up for the lack of proper management. Never even acknowledged the fact that they messed up our order, even when the waitress saw me frustrated more than once. If it wasn't for the fact that it was my girlfriend's birthday I would've canceled the last two plates and left. Maybe it's the fact that they are guaranteed 18% or 20% tip so why should they go the extra mile? It was a bad experience and my girlfriend was left unhappy on her birthday and I'm sorry but the way the restaurant treated us was absolutely unacceptable. read more

Disappointed and Frustrated - Poor Communication on Dress Code We had high expectations for this restaurant, especially since we had made our reservation a week in advance for opening night. Excited to celebrate, we planned our evening around this experience--reviewed the menu ahead of time, took a 30-minute Uber ride from Miami Beach, and were ready to indulge in a great meal with a couple of nice bottles of wine. However, upon arrival, we were stopped at the door by the bouncer, who informed us that one of our guests could not enter due to wearing a black T-shirt. What made this especially frustrating was that we were never informed about a dress code--not during the reservation process, nor anywhere on the restaurant's website or confirmation. To make matters worse, this wasn't just any T-shirt--it was a luxury, well-fitted piece, paired with high-end pants and shoes, completely appropriate for an upscale venue. What's even more disappointing is how easily this issue could have been avoided. Many truly high-end restaurants around the world anticipate situations like this and keep a few jackets on hand for guests. For about $800, management could have purchased 10 jackets from Suit Supply and saved themselves from turning away paying customers. But I guess leadership here hasn't traveled enough or experienced real upscale hospitality to know how it's done properly. Instead, they decided to turn away a customer who would have easily spent $3,000-$4,000, and likely referred wealthy friends in the future. But now, quite the contrary--we'll be making sure people know about this experience. I give this review 3 stars for a few reasons, while it's nice overall, there can be some adjustments. Let start off with my waiter not introducing himself, he walked over shaking a welcome cocktail I had to ask what it was and the type of liquor inside, he never mentioned his name or who he was until after answering my questions I asked was he the manager, Secondly I feel he was very forceful with the ordering. Thirdly I feel for the restaurant to be a open fire steakhouse, their most popular dish is the wood fire roasted seafood tower which I would give a 3 because it's no flavor other than the open fire taste. Which isn't bad but it's left to be desired. Now the lobster dumplings while a pinch heavy on the salt was amazing ! Lastly and most importantly they advertise happy hour until 7 on their website with a 45 tower and my reservation were for 6:30 got there at 6:40 late I know and I understand but by 6:49 I was seated and asking about that which to no avail did I receive I was told it was the $120 even after showing the website. So that was disappointing. The ambiance is nice and the food is priced like any upscale Miami restaurant but the experience I expected I don't get. Amazing! This place is so sexy the restaurant is beautiful and has amazing finishes. My amazing experience started with the host, Johnathan. He was so sweet! He told us all about the restaurant and how it was laid out, he showed me to the restroom and gave me a tour along the way which i thought was so sweet. Destiny was our server and she was so nice and personable. She was totally matching our energy and keeping us happy which is all we wanted!
