We returned to the restaurant after an interesting evening on New Years Eve. We posted a review, and they contacted us immediately to address our concerns and thoughts. We were invited back to an amazing evening that was awesome from the beginning to the end. The service was extraordinary, which was never a problem the first time. The service is definitely top notch. The ambiance was very classy and elegant. The appetizers were delicious, and included oysters with caviar and a shot of vodka. The combo was great. We continued with beef tartar and more oysters. We had a seafood tower which was great - with mussels, oysters, shrimp and lobster. It was delicious. We had the tomahawk steak which was cooked how we asked. The steak was great and had a good crust to it - no complaints. The dessert was good, but the after dinner drinks were spectacular. I don't understand how they have high reviews on Yelp because it's a lie. The restaurant is beautiful but the food sucks. The waiter was not even attentive and our bill was $700 for 3 people. We tried several different items on the menu and I definitely would never go back to eat, only for the ambiance and for drinks. The expreso martini is tasty but all the food was bland and tasteless. Was looking to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint - food, ambiance, service was an 11/10. The meal is pricey - better if you can visit for work or a special occasion but very worth it. They start you off with chips and caviar dip (instead of the traditional bread), along with a complimentary drink. We began with wagyu carpaccio, which was delicious. Definitely recommend everyone try it. I ordered the dove sole, which was spectacular! My husband had the Ny strip on the bone, which had so much flavor! We were vacationing in Miami for my birthday and my husband had booked this restaurant Maple & Ash a few weeks in advance before my birthday. He wanted to take me somewhere nice and had even requested a special table for family of four to celebrate my birthday. What an absolute disaster. I came here hoping for something special, and instead I got one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had -- sprinkled with a healthy dose of rudeness and straight-up racist behavior. From the moment we walked in, the staff's attitude was cold, dismissive, and painfully obvious. Somehow, other tables got smiles and champagne while mine couldn't even get eye contact. The table my husband has asked for was cramped in a corner not even fit for squeezing a family of four. We tried to address it with the waitress and her solution was to squeeze us in another corner table where you had to maneuver around to take your seat. My husband was very upset at this point and I felt very disappointed with the whole experience (since this was all beginning to sound fake from the information posted on their website). Anyways, there was a large round table in a booth area that was empty and my husband insist on sitting there which eventually the manager agreed. We waited forever for a server, and when they finally showed up, they acted like we were an inconvenience instead of paying guests. Food took *ages* to arrive -- cold, underwhelming, and totally not worth the ridiculous price tag. I've traveled all over the globe and dined at 5 star Michelin restaurants but the energy in this restaurant screamed "you don't belong here," and no one did a thing to change it even after I brought up how uncomfortable it felt. One of the manager (Joe I think his name was) was talking and mocking at us with one of his regular customer (not realizing that I was still there and heard the whole conversation). When he saw us, he was shocked and disappeared so fast with his guilt! For a supposedly "luxury" restaurant, Maple & Ash completely failed on basic human decency. Do better -- and maybe remember that everyone deserves respect, regardless of who they are or what they look like. We would have walked out and go elsewhere had it not been cold and freezing outside that night! Would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're expecting warmth, fairness, or common courtesy. My birthday dinner was ruined and left a very bad taste in my mouth, but at least now I know where *NOT* to go again or not to recommend. Such a fake and overrated place! read more

Everything is 5 stars from service, friendliness of staff and servers, knowledge of their menu, and the have a great sommelier for questions regarding their 64 page wine menu that they expect to grow. Problem is portion size and cost (which makes good food sometimes not taste so good when the portions are tiny and the cost is very high). And I think in order to really enjoy what they have to offer - you have to be ready to order more at a premium price. Service was good. Ambiance is nice - good decor, drinks were good. Overall if the portions : price was a little more fair for a nice steak place - would add more stars. Was really looking forward to the new great steakhouse in Miami after very much enjoying their Chicago location and was disappointed across the board. The restaurant is new so the choppiness in service and I'm assuming that will improve with time. The food though was mediocre at best. All four at our table had different cuts of steak and each of us was underwhelmed. Not bad but certainly not what we had hoped for. The restaurant itself is nice enough but definitely not over the top and the vibe is in the steakhouse tradition but not anything remarkable. All in all Maple and Ash is ordinary and in a Miami market with new restaurants coming in all the time, I don't think there is anything happening here that will differentiate it from anywhere else. We were the biggest fans of Maple & Ash when we lived in Chicago, so we were soooo happy when it opened here in Miami. It feels like the perfect mix of what we loved before, great energy, and a let's-celebrate kind of atmosphere, now paired with Miami's coastal style. The food? F*@cking fantastic!!! The steaks are unreal, the seafood is super fresh, and every dish hits the mark. Service was friendly, fun, and made the whole night feel special without being stuffy. The Seafood Tower and the Sundae Tower are a must. We're so happy one of our favorite spots followed us to our new hometown. Already planning our next night out here. read more

The food was phenomenal--perfectly cooked steaks, fire roasted seafood tower, and cocktails to die for. My partner fell in love with the wine list. The list can go on. I came to celebrate my birthday and I got a special customized menu with my name on it and added such a special touch. The service was top-notch from start to finish, and the vibe was energetic and upscale. Truly one of the best dining experiences in Miami. Can't wait to return. I'd have to say this place is rating pretty close to my favorite restaurant in Miami... there was quite a wait for a table even with a resy (i was a party of one on opening night) so I decided to get a drink at the bar while I waited. The bartenders were friendly ... I randomly asked a gentleman (hernando) for an update on my table and he ended up providing exceptional service from start to finish. I'm honestly sad that he is going back to the Chicago location ... Lauren was my waitress, she was super busy, but still managed to be very attentive. The ambiance was hectic but chill at the same time, very luxurious vibe with great food to match. Can't wait to come back. I went to maple and ash for my husband's birthday and WOWW! I was blown away!!! This has to be the best food I've had in a very long time. I had booked the birthday menu sign for my husband and it brought complementary drinks! Also my waiter brought out the best ceviche and it was also on the house for his birthday. Loved our experience at Maple & Ash. We were greeted at the front entrance by a friendly door man. As we arrived upstairs the hostesses (there were 3) seemed happy to have us there and greeted us by my name and politely asked my husband his name and greeted him as well. (I had made the reservation.) The ambiance and vibe was great. Service was attentive. We did encounter a few things that seemed a bit strange. Our wine was shown to us and then taken away to be uncorked. Usually that is done at the table. Our waitress was great and knew the menu items well. I have been waiting for this opening for many many years. Maple in Chicaho is my favorite steakhouse in the country. Miami hasn't had a great steakhouse since Las Vacas closed #RIP. This was my sixth time visiting the restaurant and sneak peak of their lounge. Food was exceptional : Hot Seafood tower is incredible ! Steaks were all prepared to correct temperature, not over salted . My girlfriend is vegetarian and there are plenty of options for her too. Wine / beverage program : Incredible cocktail program, all fun and well balanced. The wine list is amazing and they are just getting started. Service: Our server Gus was amazing , didn't rush us and helped guide us through our experience . Bartender Daniel remembers us and our drink orders, sometimes suggests us trying other cocktails. Derek the maitre d was very friendly and makes us feel at home every time we return. This should be the new standard of what all the other restaurants lack in Miami. No turn and burn mentality. Shoutout to Chef Danny Grant: Had the pleasure of meeting him and taking one , two, or tree shots with our group Overall : Maple is a great time! They really make our experience fun! The pricing is fair and I don't need to spend $1000 for a great steak that comes out with sparklers .
