Wish I could give them 0 stars. DO NOT GO TO THEM ON ANY HOLIDAY OR EVENT. OR EVER. First off their food is not even all that. However I used to love going to them when they first opened. The waitresses were patient and customer service was spot on. You can always get better food elsewhere but I used to like the atmosphere of Maple & Jams. The worst customer service imaginable. I had a worker yell and put her hand up in my face AND SHE WAS NOT EVEN WEARING A FACE MASK OR GLOVES DURING THIS COVID-19 PANDEMIC when I approached her nicely asking for my waiting time. I understand the pressure that many food workers are under, especially on holidays however I do not think that it's ever appropriate for an employee to raise their voice at a customer EVER. When other customers who were white would speak to her she would respond nicely but when I spoke to her she got loud and dismissed me and told me since I acknowledged other customers in there who have been waiting for me to go to the back. Truthfully I felt racially targeted due to the fact that I am Muslim. Another customer followed me out and was also Muslim and said to me that he felt the same way and was given the same treatment. I wish I knew the workers name but she had dark hair and was the younger lady who usually works as hostess. Lots of yelling between the employees and the atmosphere felt very tense and not comfortable to wait in at all. I ended up leaving without my food. AVOID THIS PLACE. My family and I were loyal customers to Maple & Jams for years and I will now never go there again. All my friends and family will no longer go to them either... very sad that this one employee has dictated the way I now see Maple & Jams but to all my other fellow Muslims save yourself the disrespect and go to another restaurant like Stacked (their customer service is awesome, even when they're busy!). read more

I was looking for a good American food restaurant and I read the reviews for Maple N Jams. Most of the reviewers gave it a good rating so I told my brothers we should give it a try. The food was served very quickly and it tasted as good as it looked. The service was very good and Kathy was very friendly and answered my brother's many questions about the food and what could be substituted on the plate. We were there on a Tuesday morning and we had no trouble getting a table for four. I usually meet with a few of my friends in Burbank for breakfast/ lunch and the next time we get together I will recommend Maple N Jams and definitely ask for Kathy's section. Horrible! I understand that it is a small place but let's be serious... I came to enjoy my meal and I had to listen to the manager yell at an employee! And this isn't the first time I have gone in and seen this! No one wants to go to a place where the manager is going to be yelling at employees during business hours in front of guests! The food was ok but I have had better. The prices are a little expensive for what you are getting.The staff seems great and the service was amazing but I don't like the way the manager speaks to the employees in front of guests! My family and I come in every weekend. I look forward to every Saturday and Sunday mornings @ Maple N Jams. I Love Love Love the WAFFLES...Mmmmmmm I always get Bananas, Nuts and Strawberries with Whipped Cream and Powdered Sugar.. YUMMERS! My Husband is a Steak Eater and always gets STEAK AND EGGS...He is never disappointed! They always make you feel welcomed when your there. I've been to my fair share of breakfast/brunch places in and around the city. Maple n Jams has by far the best service. Everyone in the place is nothing but smiles and always making sure you have what you need and more. Not only was the atmosphere and staff welcoming the food was delicious. They have everything from your classic eggs breakfast to phenomenal banana nut pancakes! My personal favorite is the bacon waffle, who doesn't love bacon?!? This place is AWESOME! Maple N Jams was referred to me by my parents because it's there favorite place to go to lunch & now I can tell why! The service and food are both exceptional.
