Well I have been coming here since they opened few years back, it has to be my ultimate fave spot for breakfast on the south side. They offer a huge menu, portions are super generous, and every thing is fresh! As for taste of the food here alone I give this place a solid 5. I'm a big breakfast fan and picky too! But even trying something new here each time, I'm satisfied with every order. I recommend the skillets and omelets, the French toast options are amazing too. As for parking it can get full fast but the plaza can hold and I sometimes opt to park on the block. Wait times are not bad even on the weekends they are organized and seat you within 15 to 20 mins max usually for me. And as for the service, the owner himself is very friendly he greets all customers and really makes sure that are enjoying the food and service. I love local businesses that engage with customers this way. Pricing of the menu is super reasonable, they offer great lunch items too. Unlike most places, the servers are really nice here too. Restaurant is clean here and is very chill in the seating. I just wish this place was closer to me! It has all of the elements to being one of the best breakfast places in the suburbs! read more

Although the food and service is worth 5 this is my favorite spot for breakfast when I come out from Dixon, IL to the suburbs to visit family. I love Michelle! She treats us like family. But today's hostess/cashier, Mercie*, was very rude. If it wasn't for Michelle we would have left. She, Mercie definitely needs to learn how to talk and approach customers. Penny also knows us and once we walked through the door she said it will be 5 to 10 minutes for a table in Michelle's section. We did use yelp to reserve a spot, we were 3rd in line. So as we needed to wait we were standing near the register area, note we were not the only ones. Mercie, without getting our attention speaking loudly with an attitude stating that where we were standing is not the waiting area and that we should move to the counter area. After looking around not knowing who she was talking to, I responded to her saying excuse me are you talking to me? She then says yes, I want you to move over there! I then asked how much longer for our table? And Alicea responded there is another larger party ahead of us. Then Mercie with the attitude says what is your problem? I just choose to ignore her and mention soemthing to Penny, Penny stepped in and put us in Michelle's section. We were a party of 3 adults and 3 kids. In conclusion we love this restaurant and our Michelle! Today's situation won't stop us from coming, I wanted to inform upper management how their hostesses are approaching customers. My first time here. We were greeted immediately and seated shortly after arrival despite the large crowd. Our servers were quick, friendly and our food order was accurate. We really enjoyed our corned beef brisket skillet and Irish skillets. The pancakes were fluffy and hot. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the parking and space inside is a little cramped. But the food, service and value for your money gets 5 stars. Ok, we're in Chicago for a couple days. I lived here for four years out of the west suburbs. This trip we stayed in Oak Lawn so I made it a point to check out places I never visited before. We arrived the parking lot and side streets are packed!! We get inside the places is packed as expected. My GF asks for a birth we'll wait, NP. Like magic, "your booth is ready!". Serviced immediately with excellent coffee. I ordered blueberry waffle and sausage. This is the game changer......first the sausage was excellent and the waffles a 10+! The blueberry topping was excellent too. It is a feat of production management excellence to watch customers coming and going. The staff works like a human machine ensuring all customers are well attended to. This is one of those places you step up and leave a 25-30% tip, the team earned it! There were 12 other nearby places Yelp recommended for breakfast, you just can't do better then this place. read more

Been here with my kids a few times and regardless of how busy the establishment is, the service is fast and courteous. The most we've had to wait for a table was about 15 minutes and that was on a busy Saturday morning as is customary during brunch hours. We checked into the restaurant on Yelp and it said we had a 3-14 minute wait, however an elderly hostess seemed to be seating people, who she knew or were frequent customers. We were given a remark, "you were sent a confirmation on your phone, so why didn't you come to the counter." I showed her my Yelp page was still open. Such a cute, quaint and friendly place! It's really close to where I live so that's a plus. I love how it's just breakfast and lunch only. It's not too busy (although the parking lot is a bit small so spaces run out quick). The ladies that always greet me at the door and seem so genuine when we leave must be the owners. Some people may think the prices are a bit high but it's a mom and pop-type place, the kind I like, so I'm happy to oblige good food and a good experience and will pay for it. I did ask for jalapeños fresh, had plenty of those. Pretty simple I thought yet my Rye toast was soggy-it was buttered. I don't know I felt almost wisked out. We got the 2by2by2 crepes, avocado turkey club and the Greek omelette you can not go wrong with any of the choices delicious the food was hot and to the table as fast as we could order. I can tell this establishment knows what they are doing I'm sure they had to made a big adjustment with out door dining but they have it all down to a key.
