    Marathon gyro with fries
    Brenda W.

Got the Marathon Gyro. It comes with fries or slaw so chose fries. That and a diet coke was 20 bucks. The menu touts Greek fare so a gyro is in their wheelhouse. I'm not that impressed. OK. In fairness, I did lookup whether lettuce belonged on a traditional gyro and it does NOT. Fair enuff because there was a wee bit of lettuce, and, by wee bit, I mean traces, not even a 1/16th of a leaf. So, before I complained here about a lack of lettuce, I wanted to be sure of the intention. Soo, fine. But, still, it wasn't a sandwich worthy of a place saying they do Greek fare. I've had way better at Orthodix Greek church festivals.

I got the My Big Fat Greek Omelette, which was pretty good (4/5), especially for airport food! The omelette itself was great! It was pretty big, and I really liked the gyro meat! The home fries were also good (4/5), and they give you a lot of them. The toast is ok (3/5), and the tzatziki is also good (4/5)! I was pleasantly suprised by how good and how much food there was, especially for the price and it's location in the airport. It is an order, grab, and go place, but the service was quick, and the staff was friendly (4/5)! Overall, I think this would be a competitive breakfast option even if it wasn't in the airport!

Pittsburgh airport is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment and many of the usual food options have disappeared...marathon diner might be the best option for a quick bite. They feature a bunch of Greek options (gyros, salads) along with burgers and sandwiches. I got a gyro and fries For the gyro, the pita was soft and tender, definitely fresh. The meat on the sandwich was plentiful and well seasoned. Great portion size Also really the fries that came along were hot and crispy I also appreciate the fact that they sell bottled beverages so you can pack extra in your carry on for the journey. Would definitely come back on future visits to this airport

The Scrambled Eggs are Delecious! I stop here every flight no matter the time of day. I get breakfast.

The scrambled eggs are delicious no matter what time we date. I'm fine always get breakfast here.

I don't know if it's just me... I got a gyro. The bread was soggy, and I couldn't taste the tatziki. The coleslaw was very vinegary, practically inedible. The service was fast as it is inside the Pittsburgh airport. It came out hot, so it was very promising.

You can tell the owner is a hard-working dude! He was behind the counter today slinging gyros and breakfast food. Loved finding this more "local" spot within the Airport where you are usually surrounded by chains. It was the smell that drew me in! The veggie gyro was pretty solid. I would have liked to have seen some falafel or feta cheese on there for protein. The wrap was a little soggy. Also, I was missing the Mediterranean seasoning from the wrap. The fries were okay (I added a lot of salt and pepper). This place is getting 4 stars for the backstory and the hardworking team!

Marathon Diner is a casual restaurant that is located inside the airport. This restaurant serves breakfast foods, sandwiches, burgers, gyros, salads, sides, and beverages. Prices are OK for an airport. In the morning before our flight, my husband and I felt hungry for breakfast. At this restaurant, we did not have to wait in line long to order our food. Several minutes later, an employee handed the food over to us. The employee forgot to give me my bacon, so I requested it, and they quickly gave it to me. The food was simple but tasted good. Our bacon was perfectly crispy. Our toast was nicely toasted, and jellies in different flavors were available. Our potatoes and our eggs were cooked well. We enjoyed the taste of our orange juices. Some tables and chairs were nearby.

Great food, first time I had anything from here. Ate here early in the morning while waiting to catch a flight to Houston, TX. Food was good and quick and hit the spot.

Pretty solid breakfast for an airport restaurant. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette which came with potatoes and 2 pieces of toast. Pretty good deal in my opinion! Food comes out fast and service is good.

Their breakfast was great. Over easy eggs were perfect. A lot of food for money considering it is in the airport.

Who puts onions on cole slaw? The meat could have been warmer. It's ok but, I'll try somewhere else next time.

I stopped by here twice this wknd-the first time was for lunch right after I arrived. Airport price wise, I was quite surprised with the prices-this place is cheap! I got the wrap and salad combo and thought that it was a traditional salad with lettuce but turns out you can choose a salad of your choice. I went with the veggie wrap and pesto salad which was around $8 plus I got a bottle of water along with that. Both items were very tasty and they are not shy with their portions (check the pics) Good times! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the sun dried tomatoes. I am a fan of them but Nature's Kitchen likes them a little too much and between the pesto salad and wrap, it was too much for me. First off, it's conveniently located in the terminal, and we were able to get a table right away on a Sunday night. The place had a chill vibe with a mix of bar seating and tables, and it wasn't overcrowded, which made the experience even better. Our server was friendly and quick to get us settled. I ordered one of their house lagers, super smooth and just what I was hoping for. I'm definitely more of a lager guy, and this one hit the spot. To start, we shared the pretzel sticks appetizer, four perfectly soft pretzels served with a warm cheese dip and a nice, sharp mustard. Great portion for two and a perfect kickoff to the meal. For my main, I went with the Brewhouse Burger, cooked medium rare (I know, a bold move for airport food, but trust me it was cooked perfectly). Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just how I like it. They offer a bunch of add-ons too, so you can really make it your own. And the best part? It didn't come with the usual inflated airport price tag I think it was just under $20 for a quality burger, and the beers were around $7-$8, which felt totally reasonable for the setting. All around, it was a great experience solid food, great beer, fast and friendly service, and they didn't rush us at all. If you've got at least an hour before your flight and want a sit-down meal that doesn't feel like typical airport fare, I'd definitely recommend!
