After a disappointing catering experience with Marcello's, I implore you to consider one of the many other Italian options in Carlisle prior to securing Marcello's for your next event. There were many red flags (to include the owner "lost" the paperwork outlining our menu after our initial meeting, after meeting number 2 with the owner to outline the same menu the cost increased $2/person, the food was delivered late to the venue and our guests arrived prior to the food's delivery, during a telephone call that we initiated to receive reassurance that the food was indeed being delivered despite being late an employee hung up on me after he was told that their service was unacceptable, and finally when the food was delivered the final cost was increased another $3/person) and no apologies were offered. Ever. Taking responsibility and a simple apology can soften the edges when errors occur, but unprofessionalism and irresponsibility in a small town can quickly damage a restaurant's reputation. My co-worker was showing me her amazing Greek Chicken Salad that she got there, the other day, so since I was in the area, I thought I would pick one up for myself. I called in my order, mentioning my co-worker bragging about this salad. I got there in 10 minutes, and it was ready. Again, I mentioned my co-worker loving this salad. I get to work and there are no olives. I show my co-worker and she's shocked because hers is usually smothered with them. It tasted like a Caesar salad to me (dressing was more a Caesar dressing), but it did have feta cheese, tons of chicken, red onion and tomato. So I called to see if they may have accidentally made the wrong salad. He said they were probably buried under the lettuce. Uh...no they're not. After a minute of talking to someone, he let me know that they are out of kalamata olives today. Nice...how about a discount on my salad, or at least tell me that when I call in...or even when I come in to pick it up? Not very good customer service. read more

Tonight my husband and I ordered lasagna, eggplant rollatini (appetizer portion) and the seafood misto to go. The entrees come with a salad and garlic bread. All three items were very good especially the seafood misto with spicy marinara. The seafood dish had quite a lot of seafood and the portions for all the dishes were quite large. Definitely try the eggplant rollatini! I've never had this type of dish prepared this way and was pleasantly surprised.I'd also like to point out to the management that we were disappointed that we were overcharged for our order and still believe we didn't get the correct credit after I went back in to dispute the charge. I never saw an itemized receipt so I'm not sure why the total amount was higher then what is listed for the items on the website. Since we were traveling with a puppy we didn't have time to go back and get it solved correctly. All in all I think it was just a mistake and if we lived here we would return and I recommend you trying this place out if your traveling in the area. I would also probably rate this restaurant higher if we had a better experience! read more

Had a lunch for 20 ladies here. Everything turned out wonderfully. I recommend letting Alfredo, Dylan and the rest of the crew take care of everything for you! Great pizza and dinners. Have used them for catering as well and the reviews were great! The ravioli are always fantastic and the calzones are perfect every time. Pizza can be hit or miss if you like it done a specific way but that really depends on the night and how busy they are. Still always wonderful. The cheese fries are also fantastic. Had the baked ziti and chicken parm catered for a party and it was all gone. My guests loved it. Highly recommend this place. Especially good for a nice Italian dinner without the work. read more

We were in the area for a soccer tournament. The owner was so accommodating in working with us to organize a team dinner on a Saturday night. We had 50+ people and he had us sitting in a separate area with plenty of attention from the friendly wait staff. The food was really good and very plentiful. We also loved that it is BYOB! Our new favorite restaurant in Carlisle! With a family with varied age ranges, finding someplace that will suit everyone is never easy! This restaurant has it all - "dressed up" dinners for adults and kid friendly meals for the kids. My husband had the eggplant ptarmigan which was amazing! I had a chicken dish that had mushrooms and artichokes and capers and it was to die for! The kids had pizza and chicken fingers.... ALL of it was amazing! The portions are HUGE (you have been warned) and we ended up taking home dinner for tomorrow night as well! We also took home a piece of their homemade cheesecake..... Well worth the splurge! I ordered the Lasagna, but when it came out it wasn't anything that resembled Lasagna. It was a bowl of cheese with some meat, tomato sauce but not one piece of pasta in it. A normal plate of lasagna would have layers of pasta, cheese and meat but this was just not good. After about 10 bits of nothing but cheese I quit eating to for fear I would clog my arteries. This is a great sit down family Italian restaurant! The food is fantastic!!! Huge servings, we always leave with enough for a meal the next day. Some of our favorites are Chicken Alfredo, Veal Marsala, and many seafood dishes. Staff is very friendly! This is our favorite family hangout and a must when extended family comes to visit. On days when we don't want to eat in or we have friends over, we order take out, usually pizza and cheese steaks which are equally as awesome! Prices are affordable for our family of five and they have a great Sunday pizza special plus their cannolis are probably the best we have ever had! We even had our son's confirmation party there. I don't know what everyone else sees in this place. I went in with my Grand daughter today. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza for her.( There was no pre-baked for a slice). I ordered a slice of white pre-baked for myself. Then I ordered a cheese steak and a salad to go. So let me say there was no greeting. It was a young kid and he asked me, Do you know what you want? So I ordered. When they called out my order, I went to the counter to pick it up. It was on a hot pie plate with nothing under it to carry it to the table. My slice was not even hot! I don't think they even attempted to heat it up.The pepperoni pizza crust was limp and it was greasy, My grand daughter commented on it.. There were no plates to put a slice on, not even paper! No utensils at all. So we muddled through our meal using LOTS of napkins. So I went up to ask for a box for the left over pizza and tell him we were ready to leave. He handed me a box and grabbed my take out from the counter behind him. When I got home I was wondering why the bag was all wet. He had the sandwich and the salad under the heat lamp. The salad was all wet and wilted, the cheese on top of it was melted. I couldn't believe it! There is no way I will ever go there again! Horrible service, dirty place, totally unacceptable!
