Terrible service. Waitress mumbled under her breath when asked for refills. For a table of 8, she only brought out one pitcher of water and one basket of bread. When I asked for a water refill, waitress told me that I had to get the other end of the table to share their pitcher with me. Again, it's a water refill I asked for!!!!!! Service was slow. It appeared something wasn't right with the staff. They seemed shorthanded and unorganized, as if the regular help didn't show up that night. This is a BYOB diner. Nonalcoholic drinks are limited to colas and tea. Tea is not free refills, or at least mine was never refilled this particular night. Food was large portions yet a little over priced for the service. Restaurant is divided into two: a pizzeria and a sit down restaurant. The restaurant does NOT have pizzas on their menu. Server said that you may NOT order pizzas, but she would make an exception this one time. Terrible, pitiful service. Don't go there. read more

I knew Yelp could be manipulated. Now that all the family and friends have checked in with 5 stars, here's the unbiased straight scoop. This is barely a two for food. Mundane entres, with little resemblance to good Italian cuisine. We had gnocchi and penne a la vodka. Might compete with canned goods. Service was OK, but waiter did not understand the specials. I was prompting him from my glance as I entered. We'll still rely on Yelp (or we never would have had the fantastic food at City Bar in Honolulu, fer instance). Stay away from Marcellos if you know good Italian. It will sorely disappoint you. read more

I was day tripping to hershey for an event and was looking for a restaurant that wouldn't freak about needing a table for 16. These guys didn't even blink. We got to the restaurant to find a semi-private room for us, a very attentive waiter at the ready. Most of us ordered the specials which were all seafood/pasta dishes and they did not disappoint! I had lobster ravioli with crab and shrimp and it was AMAZING! I wish I didn't live four hours away or I would make this a regular stop. The prices were more than fair and the house garlic bread was addictive. All the people in our party agreed the food was fantastic. Even more, even the diners in the restaurant were so nice and asked us why we were there, congratulated the honoree and just made it a fantastic experience overall. I was looking forward to this place and I was really disappointed tonight. The staff was rude, the service was slow, and when I told them they messed up my order they made it seem like it was my fault. I ordered pasta and it was horrible. Sticky and yucky. Great Italian food & plenty of it. I had lobster ravioli dish which was very good lots of garlic in the sauce which is how I like it. The portions are huge plus they give you rolls &!soup or salad. I had the soup which was also quite good. It's not quite fine dining though more like a pizza place that serves entrees. But, good quality meal. read more

This was my first time to dine here. It was a Sunday evening. The restaurant was about hall full. They had 2 waitresses who were having to hustle so their was a bit of a delay with the service. I had some clams, mussels, and shrimp sautéed in a garlic and white wine sauce. They were excellent. My entree was Veal Scaloppine. It was also excellent. The only disappointment was the bread. It was garlic bread and soso. No real Italian bread with oil and vinegar. I would recommend this restaurant. I noticed a lot of pizza being ordered. It looked very good. They have the best sauce guy after Cafe Antonio's in DC. HOLY MOLY.... always perfect - great flavors and the best kept secret is that they deliver to businesses. Pizza is great too, but it's hard to beat any one of their incredible pasta dishes. The owners are fantastic (the original Alfredo's crew from years gone by) and always very accomodating. It's BYOB for the dining room. We order "family style' from work every other month or so, and just get our carb fix going. We just moved to the area and have been visiting Marcello's quite frequently. Their food is very good, and priced good for the quality. I like that they have both a sit down and dine side and a pizza shop side. I have tried quite a few of their entrees and pizza shop dishes and I have enjoyed them all. My husband really likes the chicken parm sub! I LOVE the balsamic dressing. We will be regulars for sure! read more

Very good food, reasonable prices. We now have a favorite Italian restaurant in Carlisle (not a fan of chains). Carry in liquor only, & pizza only served on pizza side of restaurant were my only complaints. Very close to Carlisle fairgrounds makes it a great stop for those visiting Carlisle for car shows. We showed up on a busy Friday night with out reservations. It was very busy and they hosting a large wedding rehearsal dinner too. All of the servers greeted us and promised to get a table as soon as possible. It was a short wait and they got us right in. The staff was hustling to make sure everyone was taken care of and did a great job. Our server Pam was the best!! She made us feel welcomed and important. We got the clam appetizer to share and it was spectacular. Soup of the day and dinners were all super delicious as well. Great portions and I enjoyed my leftovers again today!! HOwners not present and lack of expedition to make sure orders are correct before another delivery disappointment calling to say the order doesn't match ticket or you did not get ticket and order not correct makes you a villain. Something needs to change perhaps owners being present? Asking for salt and pepper and getting raw green peppers on sub after repeatedly saying salt and pepper. Getting no mozz on salad it was on ticket. Getting linguine instead of fettuccine forgetting napkins deliver to wrong address shall I go on ? read more

This restaurant was very pleasant surprise. The waitress was exceptionally helpful and customized my meal. I ordered I feel deer that they are the lemon sauce and Capers - - I think it was veal scallopini but I can't remember for sure. I asked that my pasta be replaced with sautéed spinach and mushrooms which they get to perfection. Accompanying guess it was a nice mixed green salad and a figure house dressing. My daughter and I were visiting Dickinson College and found this place on 4/4/18. My daughter had the manicotti and really liked it. I ordered the penne vodka with no prosciutto or tomatoes. I usually pick up from Marcello's 2-3 times a month. I had been very pleased with their service and food quality. On Sept 1st, Saturday evening around 10;30 pm, I stopped and ordered a med cheese pizza. I also ordered a piece chocolate cake, to go. When I got home, I was very disappointed with the pizza, not the same quality I was used to from Marcello's. Pizza was not even round, did not fit in box properly. Sauce and cheese was kinda just thrown on the dough. Didn't even cover the pizza dough evenly. I was surprised, not in a good way. Hopefully It was just a rare bad pizza from Marcello's and the next one will be back up to their standards which had always been very, very good! read more

Our experience here could not have been better. Having never been here before, we weren't sure what to expect. From the moment we walked in the door, our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ended up sitting outside so we didn't need to leave the dog in the car. The food was delicious, especially the eggplant parmigiana sandwich.
