Pizza, cheese sticks, and wings were all really good! But the online ordering-and-timing system is really, horribly bad. I ordered more than an hour early, and it quoted 6:45 as the first available ready time. When I showed up at 6:47, the attendant said they were "slammed" and it would be 10-12 more minutes. Ultimately, the food wasn't ready till 7:15, 30 minutes after I was quoted online. The three people working seemed to be working very hard and doing their best under tough circumstances, but it was still disappointing to have that delay and no apology. The pizza is tasty, and the chicken things had a slight kick. Do yourself a favor and order super early on Friday nights. If you don't, you'll be stuck a half hour or so past what they estimated. Marcos pizza is decent for being a chain/franchise. Definitely better than Domino's or Pizza Hut. But it drives me insane that restaurants expect you to tips their employees for doing their jobs. I understand tipping for a delivery or if someone serves you. But handing me a pizza doesn't deserve a tip. And Marcos makes it as awkward as possible for people. They printout the receipt with HUGE text I dictating how much a 20 or 25% tip is, then their employees stare at you while you sign. I hate Marcos foenthatvreason alone. read more

Horrible service and management. We have experienced many messed up orders. Such as being given ham and pineapple pizza when we ordered ham and mushroom. Often times there are items missing when using delivery. The final straw is when I was told that an item would be replaced for free the next time I ordered. Well, this never happened. I was called a liar for stating that I was owed a replacement item. When I asked for a managers name and contact info they refused to give it to me. I was a lifelong Papa John's fan, but my friend has converted me to Marco's chicken and spinach pizza. Their pizzas aren't super greasy, and seem to reheat better than other brands as well. A bit more expensive than competitors, but I think it's worth it. My only complaint is that delivery times seem very inconsistent. When placing an order, we never know whether to expect to be quoted a 15 min or 45 min wait (regardless of whether peak hours). Perhaps this is just due to recent staff shortages, though. I live within a 5 minute drive of this Marco's pizza and I have for a long time. A combination of needing a quiet place to study and craving pizza led me to come sit down at this location. Not only was I pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, I found myself surrounded with next-level service and a great place to study. There are multiple tables and booths with power outlets, and my pizza came out in exactly 15 minutes. I was not charged for my sauce and I had a productive study session. THE LORDS DAY. i was excited after a long day of family time, services, and watching the masters to have a good slice of pizza. i ordered something simple--two thin crust pepperoni pizzas. i'm a simple woman. things shouldn't be complicated. things were complicated when i pulled up and asked for my pizza. it all started when i asked the very young worker if we could get free cheesy bread since there was a huge poster outside that said so. it has to be company policy because it's a generic sign. instead of answering the question the kid simply walked away and got our pizza. it seemed he didn't know the answer? since i wanted the cheesy bread so bad i did my own research and found you can win some by completing the very long survey. now this time i go into the store instead of the drive through. the kid can't just walk away anymore. this service experience was so awkward it could have been a middle school dance. twenty minutes later after sitting on a bench waiting, i decide to go up to the very tall counter and ask what could possibly be the hold up when i find the two young front workers making out. i'm not kidding. The order took about an hour and a half to get to our house... I should have just ordered take out to be honest. I did have to call to check on our order after an hour went by, but given the current times we are in I was expecting a longer wait... Pepperoni is crisp and we added mushrooms on it which was super yummy!!! The cheesy bread is so bad..... this location told me that they would remake things if they had started getting bad... which under a burner for an hour will definitely do this to the cheesy bread. This is definitely not me leaving a horrible review, but if you've ordered anything other than a pizza and you've waited over an hour..I would call and cancel the non-pizza item or ask them to redo it. The whole Squad gets down here like at least twice a month. They always are involved in the local school system fundraisers and spirit nights! It's a very cool chill place to eat outside to when the weather is right of course. Their Pizza is by far not the greatest I've ever had, Chicago, but they do have a different flavor and different taste from a lot of local joints here Knoxville as well as the big boy chains. UPDATE - After not eating here for quite some time and reading other posts in a local Facebook group about this particular location, we decided to give them another try this evening. From all that we have read, the *trick* is to order by phone and NOT online. It has nothing to do with this location but more of a corporate issue that needs to be resolved for the overall brand. When adding notes along with, possibly, some other information (when placing an online order), it appears each store does not get "all" of that data. This has been confirmed by two locations now. Well, who knew?! Voila! Problem solved!! Soooo... We called in our order this evening, and it was perfectly prepared as we asked for! Take our advice and call it in! Worked beautifully! Terrible delivery system and customer service. Not sure what mapping tools they use because they can't locate my address. The Ebenezer branch said I need to call the Middlebrook branch because I'm out of their delivery area, and Middlebrook said to call Ebenezer for the same issue. Told the guy on the phone about this and his response was, "Sorry, it's just a busy night. Call us when it's not busy so the manager can help you." WTF??? Never calling again!!! read more

Pizza is very good, but overpriced compared to other chains nearby. One 3 occasions our order has taken longer than they claimed, up to an hour and a half. There's also frequently a very long wait for food. Our last pizza was made wrong, and was basically nothing but sauce and bread. Came here with high hopes at finding a good pizza place that actually delivers. First off, it's a little thicker crust than I like and the crust seems very oily. Kind of how I remember pan pizzas at Pizza Hut when I was a kid. (Not sure how I ever stomached that!) Wife had pepperoni magnifico and I, the Hawaiian. The actual pepperoni was tasty but the pizza was perhaps the greasiest we had ever experienced. Dabbed with napkins and still dripped grease when held vertically by crust. Hawaiian was less greasy but chicken did not seem of good quality... Think pressed, pre-grilled strips. For the average quality of ingredients, I felt the prices were high, and I really don't mind paying a lot for a quality pie either. On a positive note, their red sauce was quite good and has a little spice to it. The staff was very friendly. So. I guess I still can't get a good quality pizza delivered. read more

The employee at the pick-up window wasn't wearing a mask or gloves, nor were the kitchen staff. I asked why, and the girl said the company doesn't require them for employees. I declined the food and got a refund. I called the health department, and I learned that masks ARE required for food service employees. I have known the family of the Owner for years. While I do not know him personally, I have enjoyed supporting the restaurant because of his family. I ordered on line for pickup. I went to pick up my order at the pickup window, there were 3 cars in front of me. I watched as each car pulled forward to retrieve their order. Each time the person at the window passed a clipboard out the window to the car. As I arrived at the window, I noticed no one in the restaurant was wearing PPE. They attempted to hand me the clipboard and pin. I declined to take it. They insisted I sign the CC receipt. At $18 and change the CC company does not require a signature. It was an online order. I explained that. Another person appeared at the window, I assume he was the manager. He continued to insist that it was a legal requirement that I sign the paperwork. I refused to touch the clipboard and pin. The very same clipboard and pin handed to each of the preceding cars, spreading communal germs and virus. I am trying to follow the directions of our county's health department and slow the spread of the Virus. This Marco's restaurant has deemed it OK to violate the directions of the local health authority and ignore the use of common sense. In short this restaurant seems to not care about the greater good of the community and the country. I finally took the clipboard and angrily signed the receipt. I pressed so hard that the pin sliced through the thin paper. The person at the window assumed I ripped it up on purpose. I pitched the clip board back onto the window ceil. I did the same with the pin. The pin bounced onto the floor. This seemed to really anger the person. He shut the window and took my order back to the kitchen, out of my site, and left me sitting there for a few minutes. Cars were lining up behind me. I finally knocked on the window. He returned to the window. I told him to cancel the order. I did not want the pizzas after he had become so angry and removed the pizzas from my site. He stated, angrily, that he had cancelled the order. Then he said that I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO ORDER FROM MARCOS EVER AGAIN.. I know that we are all stressed out. I know we are all short tempered. I know I certainly am. We are locked away from family and friends. We are trying to follow the rules setup by the health officials. We are suffering from the isolation. We want this to be over. Then, we run into people who, for whatever reason, don't follow the rules or even common sense measures. I lost my temper with the insane insistence that I jeopardize my family's health for such stupidity. If Marcos does not have a problem with it, I don't have a problem with never purchasing from Marco's again. There are plenty of pizza places in the world. Tried to be a regular customer as we love the pizza. Numerous orders, in a row, 30+ minutes later than promised and 2 out of three were not even made correctly. Many talks with Steve the manager about service, timing, etc only to be told not to order on Fridays between 6 and 8 PM as they can't handle the volume. I don't think they will have to worry about that much longer. After the 2nd and third error and late pizza, we were offered a credit to help remedy the situation only to find no credit was there on our next late order. I should not need to call the mgr directly to have an order done correctly and within a reasonable time frame, regardless of the day. I do not believe this location will be in business much longer. Too many other options in this area to put up with constant errors, lateness, and poor customer service. Too bad, good pizza! read more

My family had ordered online on a Monday night. It was about 6:00 pm. They had quoted us 50 minutes. That was normal. About an hour and a half went by and we still didn't have any pizza. I called and talked to a team member and asked. She said it just got assigned to a driver and that it would be there shortly. I asked her if my pizza would be cold and she said no. She said it has only been under the lamp 10 minutes. I stressed the fact that I didn't want cold pizza and she guaranteed it would be hot.
