I've always liked this Margaritas. It's great for groups, and the staff is super friendly. I wanted to review in particular today, though, because I sat out the deck, and the service was fantastic, waiter brought us refills before our drinks were even empty, fresh chips and salsa without us having to ask. I usually get Russelritas here, the frozen raspberry/strawberry margarita. MMM. And the chicken chimichangas. What is great about Margaritas though, is they're very accommodating to doing things your way. They're always suggesting how to make your meal better, our asking what you're looking for in a drink to customize it for you. Ask for a Lime in the Coconut margarita with chambord. DELISH. Substitutions? No problem. I've had 20-25 person birthday parties here, and the staff is willing to bend over backwards for you, without acting like its an inconvenience. I need to give 5 stars for the service my daughter (3.5yo) and I repeatedly get by Jeremy. He is endlessly patient with kids while being attentive to service needs. When my daughter wanted to pay with play money he gladly obliged and made her day. When Momma is getting stressed he is on the spot with napkins, boxes, crayons, the check, or whatever is needed. We had a mixed experience here... Margarita was good. Chicken Taco Salad was excellent - tender and flavorful. The Titos Super Burrito was basically a plate of mush with lettuce sprinkled on it. I ordered off of Door Dash, and waited two hours for my food because they lost the ticket, and then never got my food. They refunded me by cancelling my order on door dash, but neglected to tell my driver to stay to deliver my food, so when they finally made it after 2 hours, no one was there to deliver. I then called after an additional half hour of waiting and they said "we are waiting for your driver to come pick it up." When I told them no one was coming because they canceled the order and didn't inform my driver (who was already waiting for the food), they said "we've done all we can to help, sorry if you can't come get your food." I'm giving one star for the simple fact, we HATED our food. We got very traditional plates (tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno, beans and rice). My family is from Mexico and both my husband and I were raised in a boarder city where Mexican food is LEGIT (this may be why we're so upset after our first bite)... I usually cook everything myself but we decided to eat out for a change. The beans were awful! I had "refried" and black beans. Both seem to have like McCormick's fajita mix inside them, it just made them taste horrible. I was totally disgusted by the rice, that is NOT Mexican or Spanish rice! The chile relleno was mediocre... Not much cheese or flavor. The tacos were very plain as well. We left our food on the plate and left the restaurant (after paying). I was very disappointed as, the decorations are very legit (besides the big Indian chandelier hanging in the middle) and I was hyped to eat someone else's "real Mexican food." We have gone here many times in the past, and the past is how it's going to be tonight we went because of Veterans Day and our first impression was when the waiter complained that we asked for a booth because I can't sit in a high table because of pain in my hips . His comment or you can sit at a clean table with a snarky look at us , of course he said this to another employee, and than his service was down right crappie. He was working the bar side. Disappointed hours advertised stated open till 1:00am. Yet when we walked in at 11:30pm, one side of bar had the stools pulled away for cleaning. We inquired if they were still open and told yes but there was no food, which was the main reason we stopped. We phoned another eatery down the road to place a pick up order (they were going to close at 12:15am). Took our order no problem. We've been here several times and have been quite pleased by the food, prices, and service. One thing we both enjoy about this place is the variety and quality of the vegetarian options, which is unusual for chain Tex-mex restaurants. Our favorite is the veg Enchiladas Banderas. The fresh, home-made chips and salsa were usually delicious (see caveat below). for drinks: The 'Mexican Iceberg' is a nice combo if you can't choose between beer or frozen margarita. UPDATE: something has happened to this place. The menu has a complete make-over and new additions. The chips and salsa now look and taste like Chili's chips and salsa. Chips and salsa came quickly along with H20 to wash down HOT -mess of the salsa...Waitress confusion as to our table assignment delayed our drink/food orders being taken 30 mins after seating Decent Mexican food at a reasonable price. I had a quesadilla as I'm really not a fan of spicy food so not sure how great my review will be to others... My Dad got an enchilada -"liked it enough"..cousin Keith got a spicy platter which he devoured-(said cousin lives near restaurant and loves it..therefore our visit ) I do have to say that the margaritas were perfectly delicious~ although I did find the bar service to be exceptionally slow ..I questioned the waitress whether she went to Mexico to get the tequila because it took at least 25 minutes between drinks for her to get our margaritas Seemed it was a busy night as it is a busy restaurant location with the hotel next door.. It was some type of holiday celebration-I'm not sure exactly which one the night that I visited ? The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly... He is fast and friendly and makes sure everything is going good during service. Just had a wonderful cozy and delicious meal on the covered outdoor porch. We have been continuing to eat outside even during the chilly fall weather bc of Covid and we appreciate the restaurants that offer outdoor heaters to make this possible! This is hands down the worst "Mexican" food I've ever had. It wasn't even good food, period. Everything was very tomato-y and acidic, my chicken was boiled until it had the consistency of rubber (seriously, who screws up chicken?!) No salt, no seasoning, no Mexican flavor whatsoever... Rice had peas and carrots in it??? Even the beans were inedible. I barely touched my plate and the waitress didn't even notice. I'm in my late 50s waiting for a long time friend to meet and have lunch really two hours I was there eating and consumed only two drinks and two glasses of water left a nice tip and everything and then they would not serve me a third drink when I went to have dinner with my friend well Margaritas is turned into a real bummer in Dover it's just a kids hang out at night no one there was pleasant no one was friendly and the management staff truly is an inexperienced bunch ....this says a lot about how this restaurant the many years I've been here it was never like this but again I should have noticed by the parking lot when there was nobody there not even during the lunch rush so you use your discretion but this place has gone completely downhill what a shame read more

VEGETARIANS AND THOSE W/FOOD ALLERGIES BEWARE!! This used to be my favorite restaurant, well up until today. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it had a piece chicken in it that I bit into!!. I don't know if they put the piece of chicken in it on purpose or accident, but I was and still am royally pissed. I told the waitress and she said she was sorry, but still charged us for it!!! i used to like Margaritas restaurants a lot. in fact i still would go to the one in Nashua...but the Dover Margaritas sucks, and this is why: 1. While I don't mind the bartender introducing him/herself to me, I don't like that they ask my name, it's none of your busines,, the only thing you need to know is what i would like to drink...and don't take my order whilst chewing on a straw, it's disgusting and probably unsanitary, also, i'm not a fan of shaking your hand i don't know where they've been 2. the food isn't that great and it's pricey, also, stop serving it on not-so-clean plates...and another thing, how about bringing all of the food out at the same time, so i'm not awkwardly making conversation while waiting on everyone else's food to get there 3. the margarita drinks taste horrible, even worse, the sangria...the bartender actually made me a sangria w/ triple sec and red wine (a bottle that he just opened, room temp) and some bar fruit thrown in...it wasn't prepared beforehand, which would mean all of the flavors/liquor had time to "steep", no sugar added, no brandy, no soda water, just freekin triple sec and red wine and bar fruit, wtf??????? i'm not sure how much i paid for that glass of sangria, but if it was over $3 then that was too much i'm not sure i need to add anything else, except to suggest that if you go to margaritas, stick to drinking beer out of a bottle! oh and wear a low-cut shirt if you're a chick and you will get better service,,, so pathetic read more
