We ate here on a trip back in 2009 and returned during our trip this week. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They brought us out a basket of tortilla chips and a container of hot salsa and a container of mild salsa. The mild salsa was rich and red with a great tomato taste. The hot salsa was great, too, and not unbearably hot. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas. I was brought out a piping hot skillet of fajitas with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I also got a plate with refried beans and rice and a plate of guacamole / lettuce / sour cream / pico de gallo. The meal also came with three flour tortillas. It really hit the spot as I had been craving Mexican food. The meal was around $10. We ordered my three-year-old the kid's mini nachos. It was a plate of tortilla chips covered in cheese sauce and came with a kid's size drink. It was $3.99. My husband ordered some kind of burrito meal that came with a beef burrito and a chicken burrito. He really liked the chicken one, but wasn't so big on the beef. He's more of a steak fan than a beef fan, though. The restaurant is very clean and quite festive inside. I'm not sure about their smoking policy, but no one was smoking when we visited, and it didn't smell like smoke. Take-out not so great; they always mess up the orders and are the girl handling the orders is not very friendly, so I would recommend dine-in. Basically, this is the most rude and terrible-tasting Mexican restaurant in the Myrtle area. If I could leave a 0-star review, I would. Fiance's 30th birthday dinner, just wants some salsa, cheese dip, and a single enchilada with ranchero sauce instead of the standard enchilada sauce. Not hard, picky yes, but not hard. First. The regular salsa tasted like tomato paste, and the hot salsa was as if someone took straight capcasin and put in that same tomato paste. All heat, no flavor. The cheese dip, however, was fairly good. Her enchilada comes out. Looks good. Tastes like marinara with a side of tortilla. Takes one bite, dones-o. Ask for check and for the the enchilada to come off because she didnt like it, we just wanted to leave. Server says "that's how you ask for it, not my fault." And LAUGHS. Brings check. Didnt take enchilada off. Again, she said "why am I paying for this? It's disgusting, I wanted to send it back and it be taken off my bill. I didnt eat it because it tastes terrible." The server says the same thing "that is our price, we made it how you wanted it, you asked for it that way you should have eaten it." Also worth noting, this single enchilada was 3.99 when 3 of them is 6.99. Absolutely the worst service and food ever. Save yourself the trouble, go down the road 8min to Fiesta, and have better service, better food, and a better experience. read more

Heard about this place. Being a local, and we are still looking for a replacement for Burro Loco, we thought we would try it. Went on a Sunday night at 7:00 PM. Place seemed nice and the décor is as expected but that's where it ends. We got a table quickly but sat for 15 minutes before we got a waitress. Our waitress was nice but I don't think she was originally suppose to be our server. It was like someone was absent and they had to spread the load. Our food took FOREVER. I mean that really! We watched tables arrive after us, get food and eat before we ever saw a plate. It was getting aggravating but we started laughing at the experience chalking it up to a "learning experience". Food finally arrived... earlier we had started timing things and found from our arrival time on the GPS on the phone we had waited over an hour for our three plates. Forks in hand we thought "okay let's get this started". First bite... What? Cold Food!!!!! We started laughing again when we realized the food was cold the plates were cold..... Why did the server wear all that safety equipment and pretend we would burn ourselves if he didn't carefully place the plate in front of each of us???? I know it's part of the presentation but REALLY!. Heat the plates!!!!!. I can only assume that they lost our order or more likely it sat on a warmer. We ate and taste was okay but honestly it was just lets get this over with. YES, we took leftovers with us because we ate 2 full baskets of chips before the food arrived. We had asked the waitress NOT to bring more chips. I would suggest you eat before you go since by time you actually get food you will be hungry again. Food would have been okay if it was freshly made and I plan on microwaving my leftovers later tonight. I think it will be better once it is warmed. read more

Craved Mexican on a recent trip to Myrtle Beach and found this gem of a place on Yelp. It was a little out of the way for us from our hotel but totally worth it. Sure, the outside of the place could use a power washing (it is a little dingy), but inside, it is gorgeous and very eclectic. We were seated immediately and given salsas (both hot and mild) and tortilla chips right away. They were fantastic. We ordered a beer, mixed drinks, 3 kid meals (the taco salad kid's dish never stood a chance), chicken chimichangas, and stuffed poblano peppers. Both came with rice, beans, and guacamole. Easily one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had. For dessert, we split two fried ice creams and had coffee and the total, drinks, tip and all wound up being around $80 for a family of five - great on the stomach and the wallet! Great service, family friendly, and big portions - definitely hit this place up if you can. read more

Besides the service being horrible we had the amazing experience of having hair in not one but both our kids food. Taco Bell would have been a better experience.
