Was good. Good atmosphere. The margaritas were really yummie. Food was good. Chips & salsa was good. Staff pretty friendly.

My family got very sick with diarrhea after eating here. We ordered fajitas, steak tacos and carne asada. All of us who ate their food got very sick later on. My youngest who only ate flour tortillas did not though she wasn't herself today. I do not recommend eating here - Not now - Not ever. This place should have a visit from the health department. Also, we were seated long before another table yet we were served our food twenty minutes after they received theirs. Service is terrible! They did apologize and offered 15% discount for the long delay. I was ok with that. However, then we all got sick - forget it. I'm banning this place and we will never return. Lastly, one of their salsas tasted like it was canned. I called to let them know that we all got sick. I spoke with Jose who said that he was the assistant manager. I was told that the manager is not in nor does he come in regularly. They are short staffed he said and to him that's why the manager isn't in. Not sure how that makes sense but it made sense to Jose. read more

This has turned into a favorite place for me when in Myrtle Beach. I had the chicken burritos this time. Good flavor with plenty of sour cream and guacamole to go with them too. Dinner with drink was a respectable $15.00! Chips were warm and fresh while we waited for our meals. Good experience! read more

This food was exactly what I was hoping for and more. Huge basket of fresh.. And free.. Chips and salsa. We got the chorizo cheese sauce for dipping. YUMMMMM. I ordered the quesadilla fajita which proved to be outstanding. My wife got the chicken which she equally enjoyed. Doesn't look like much but this place rocks! Interestingly enough you'd think this place would have a plethora of "margaritas" but it doesn't really. Just go straight for the Cadillac. Muy Buena!! The salsa was quality. Comes in mild and hot, medium heat good flavor. But ask for "hot" sauce and you'll be given some of the best tomatillo/guajillo salsa I've ever had! So I read reviews until I found one with high reviews. This place fit the bill for our needs. It was wonderful. We were a party of ten and got seated immediately at 6. We had four pitchers of Margaritas and they were consistently made. The only complaint from the table was the beef. Three people ordered beef dishes and they did not taste correct, one was a simple taco for a child and it was off tasting. Everything else was delicious. Great prices, about 12 a person. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. It is a new favorite for not just the visitors but also the locals in the group. And also it is near the outlets on 17. The food is the only reason it got two stars. Stopped in for lunch on a whim while leaving Tanger. The food was so-so. Prices during lunch justified the food. The service on the other hand was far below what I was hoping. They have a chip delivery girl so I received my chips upon sitting down. I ordered my drink and food together when the waiter visited about 5 minutes later. DIDNT see him again until my food came out. No drink. Just Chips. My food was sat on the table with no silverware, again waited for someone to pass before I could ask. Ate my food with no refill throughout the meal then sat about 15 minutes waiting for the check. The prices were responsible. The food was great and the restaurant was very authentic with nice decorations, but the place was very busy so expect time delays. If it was not for the time delays, I would have given them a five. The waiters were very busy and didn't come to the table as often as expected. They also had plain salsa and salsa with a little kick that Georgia residents are use to having since we like it hot. Lol read more

Margarita's doesn't serve African Americans!!!!!! We waited almost 20 minutes after being seated and the waiter never came to take our order. He walked past us 6 or 7 times to take the orders of several white patrons who were seated after us. We tried to get his attention many times but he kept looking away. Finally we left after all of the other patrons received their food. There were no other African Americans in the restaurant and now I know why. read more

After passing it many times for the last few years, we finally stopped at Margaritas this year. I started with a mango margarita which was very good. I also has a large sweet tea and it was also good. The chips and salsa came fast and was good also. I ordered the Pollo Loco and my wife ordered the chicken queasadilla. My Pollo Loco was very good. I brought half of it home for lunch tomorrow. We were hoping to finish up with the fried ice cream but they were out. Not surprising considering it was almost 100 yesterday and today. While the food is good. Not fantastic but consistently good. My review is for service. I am a local resident and tonight I tried to order food to go. I was told that they are not doing that right now but since I was there I could get a to go order. Then I was told to wait. I assumed while she cashed customers out. When she was done doing that I was told to wait again and again. While I don't mind waiting, I don't like being treated that I don't matter. While business is great during the "season" it is us locals that keep coming back all year long. So bottom line. The food is good, most of the waiters nice but the girl at the front desk stinks. Had another great dinner tonight here! Been coming here for years now and it's always been the most authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Tonight I had the pork carnita tacos, rice and beans, as well as some guacamole; my wife had the shredded chicken tacos, which she said were also very good. My boyfriend and I came here the other night for dinner on cinco de mayo. We did not have a long wait which was good but we had terrible, the margarita was just okay and the food was terrible. I asked for a water when we first sat down and queso and we didn't get it until the second time we asked. The table was also filthy when we got sat. Besides the food not being so great, that night when I got home I figured out I had food poisoning that lasted for 2 days. It was absolutely terrible, so bad my boyfriend almost brought me to the hospital. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I'm not usually one to bash, but this was unacceptable. read more

I love this restaurant! . Moderately Spicy, flavorful salsa ( they even give you a second bottle with a mild version for those who don't like it hot). I have never had a bad meal here and I have been coming to this restaurant almost on a weekly basis for. .. I don't know how many years. The owner is a wonderful man and every waiter I have gotten has been pleasant and accomodating. The Chili Verde is my personal favorite dish. The sweet tea is excellent and their margaritas are delicious. Large portions of food for a very reasonable price. Just "ok" food. Being asked by the waiter to start if we were really going to drink the water we ordered was NOT the best first impression. Apparently he was concerned because the owner was angry about the amount of water being left after meals was excessive. Margarita was weak weak weak. Ordered the beef quesadilla fajita. When your looking for a good value meal in Myrtle this is the place. We are locals and frequent here very often. It's authentic Mexican food. The restaurant itself could use a face lift but when the price is right and the food tastes great who could complain? It's expensive for families who need to eat out every meal at the beach and this gives them an affordable value that tastes good! Don't go in expecting for it to look like a lot of the chain restaurants we have around here and you will be fine! I only put one star because you have to. We went in and it just smells dirty. Probably the nasty carpets. We sat in the bar area and once we realized there was a man behind the bar grinding metal in the open serving environment we got up and walked out. Drinks had not arrived yet. Don't waste your time. Have been coming to North Myrtle for many years and our condo is just up the street, so surprised we never went to Margarita's. Looking for Mexican tonight and gave it a try. The decor and menu was pretty standard and we were expecting the same. Pleasantly happy that the food was way better than typical Mexican restaurants in Myrtle. Carnitas were fall apart tender and tasty, my son's steak quesadilla was the best he ever had (he's pretty picky), my wife had the special bowl and said it was the best Mexican dish she has had in a long time. Others in our party said their dinners were simply just better than normal. Salsa n' chips was pretty average but everything else was outstanding. Had to grab a waiter three times before we were serviced - sat at the table over 15 minutes with no water, chips, etc. Some of the waiters seemed nice but ours definitely didn't want to be there or to wait on us. Took 45 minutes for our meal - way too long for 1:30 (not many people there) on a Monday afternoon. The food was just so-so - I can cook it just as good if not better. You pull into to the parking lot you see that the restaurant is a retro silver diner. Upon entering it's an authentic Mexican restaurant. The waitstaff was very pleasant and friendly. I've been going to Margarita's every year on vacation to Myrtle Beach and it never fails to deliver a delicious dinner. The food is tasty and the margaritas are great! There are large booths and tables that can fit large parties. The service can be slow when the restaurant is crowded, but there are always plenty of chips and salsa to munch while you're waiting! I am particularly fond of their salsa because each person can mix their own bowl from the mild and spicy salsas they put on the table. read more
