We came to Myrtle beach from Ontario. We have many quality Mexican restaurants where we are from. I have nothing but good to say about this place. I had the fajitas. They were fantastic. Let me start off by saying that I support this restaurant as a customer year round since I live in the area and usually get take out about once a week. The last two times that I attempted to order take out, once on Saturday and the other time tonight Monday, I was told rudely that they were not doing take out because they were too busy. I could understand if they said they were very busy and I would have to wait half hour or an hour and then it would be my decision whether I wanted to wait or not but to be told rudely by the hostess that I wasn't able to get food and that it was the manager's decision not to accept any take out orders is absurd. Also, the last few times I noticed 25 cent items on my bill listed as "take out container" listed for each item put in an aluminum tin. I have never seen that anywhere. I'm on the road quite a bit and end up getting take out frequently. No other restaurant does this . Olive Garden, Carrabas, Cheesecake Factory, Outback, Bonefish Grill, you name it. First of all it's probably costing the same or less than eating in house. No dishes to wash, no table to clean, no waiter service. Most businesses put the cost of containers into "cost of goods sold" into the price of the meal, item, etc. Very disappointed in the service. I'm not sure how this place scores so high on here. Went here while on vacation with a party of 6. While the prices are cheaper than neighboring restaurants I found the food to be anything but authentic and tasty. Everyones meal was mush and tasted horrible. None of us were able to eat our meals as we felt nauseous 1/2 way through and decided to leave. If you're a conosour of Mexican food - you'll be seriously disappointed. Skip it! read more

I ate here weekly for years while living in Myrtle Beach. Always was exceptional food and service. Last week, popped back in during a beach visit. Say near restroom, strong pine sol and urine odor. First batch of salsa was a bit tomato pastey. I know that is not a word, but it tasted odd. Next batch was good. All that to say, overall I give it a 4. The last visit was a 2, but long term tops a bad day anytime!!! read more

The food was not bad for the price. The only issue I had was the service. It was extremely slow. We were there before it became too busy but still had to wait an extremely long time. Will not return. Plus the waiter never brought check after asking twice. read more

This place is yummy! I usually order the chile rellenos, carnitas tacos, or the chicken soup, and everything is always so flavorful. The margaritas are tasty and the chips are hot and fresh. I love the spicy salsa they give you to start off with. The PRICES are much lower then other Mexican restaurants in the area and the food is so much better. read more

First I want to say that I am from Texas and somewhat of a Tex-Mex snob. I consider this place average and the service was average. Nice interior and food menu selection was good. Wife had chicken fajita and said they were good. I had a combo of enchiladas and a taco. Meat was rather bland but what I expect here in the Carolinas. Chips were very good. The food here is as good if not better than the large chains. Fun space, nice staff! Plenty of food options for every taste and appetite. Building is an old Johnny Rockets but food and service were great. Hot and mild salsa brought to table was great. I ordered fish tacos that weren't even on the menu. Best fish tacos in MB. Tried this place on my trip to Myrtle Beach. The mild salsa tasted like ketchup and I didn't eat most of my meal it was so bad. I ordered the taco and enchilada combo. Taco was bland but edible. Enchilada was not even edible even after trying to scrape the sauce off of it. Would never come here again. read more

The sign said "Open," but the empty parking lot and shady exterior said 'nope.' The lime green paint job and chincy lights didn't give the impression that I would be in for anything more than diner tacos and warm water. I had the grilled chicken and shrimp. Both were extremely dry, chewy and way over cooked. Mexican rice was good. Service was slow. Waiter messed up one of our orders (asked for chicken & beef fajita with no onion but got fajita with chicken and shrimp and extra onions). Water had something which looked like a piece of mold or mildew floating in it. Price was reasonable. Overall disappointing and will not go here again. I noticed a few Mexican families eating here. You would think they would know good Mexican food but this place didn't have it. I am kind of picky as I'm Mexican and my great grandmother was an amazing cook. I would rate this restaurant about the same as any chain of Mexian restaurants such as Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. Not quite as bad as Taco Bell but I'm sure there are better Mexican restaurants in MB. read more

My wife and I have eaten here at least 20 times over the last 10 years. Overall, the food is good and has always been fairly consistent. The chips and salsa are good and they bring both mild and hot salsa for the table. The service can be excellent at times and mediocre as well, which is just like most restaurants. The reason I can only give it 2 stars and honestly I'm between a 2 & 3, is the margaritas are horrible. They always have a ton of sour mix in them with very little alcohol. My wife ordered a Cadillac Margarita yesterday for lunch and it had no Gran Marnier in it, the drink was $13 with very little alcohol. We told the waiter, he brought us over a shot, and then tried to charge us for the shot. They expected us to pay $21 for their mistake. I have watched them make terrible margaritas for way too long. We have only gone here because the restaurant is so convenient to our condo. No more visits for us. The restaurant is called "Margarita's", should be "Worst Margarita in MB". read more

There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area. There are many that we have been to once, never to return. Margarita's, however, is one we return to again and again and again. Expansive menu, excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly service. If you are looking for great Mexican in this area and don't try Margarita's, you are missing the bus. read more
