I've been to Margot in Culver City three times : 1/25/2025 & 5/20/2023 & 4/21/2019. Each time I visited, I had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. It's truly a perfect spot for a date night, with a great ambiance that makes the experience even more special. The service was also very friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food here is consistently delicious. One dessert I highly recommend is the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Nutella crème fraîche and toasted hazelnuts. It's absolutely delicious--an absolute bomb. As an appetizer, I also really enjoyed the Pan con Tomate (grilled bread, fresh tomato, ricotta, and EVOO). It was so fresh and tasty. The last time I visited was on January 25, 2025, and below is what I posted on my Instagram that day: I went to Margot in Culver City for the third time, but I was disappointed that the dish I always enjoyed was no longer available. I really loved their Bombolotti pasta, but since it was gone, I tried a different pasta that the waitress recommended as a similar option--but it just wasn't the same. However, the flourless chocolate cake was absolutely delicious. (Saturday, January 25, 2025)
Made reservations for dinner with friends on a Friday night and we were seated immediately. My party ordered the Arancini, Charred Broccoli, Steak Tagliatelle, Seafood Risotto, and Pappardelle Bolognese. The arancini and bolognese were pretty standard dishes. Good but nothing spectacular. The risotto was good but I'm not the biggest fan of risotto in general. The steak was delicious with the chimichurri sauce; however, the steak itself was a little disappointing for how expensive it is. For $70, you would except it to be tender, but it was pretty tough and hard to cut. The real highlight of the dishes was the broccoli. I didn't know broccoli could be that good. The restaurant is on a rooftop, giving aesthetic vibes. This restaurant is more on the pricier side, and you are paying more for the view than the food.
We got the pappardelle and steak tagliata The pappardelle was delicious. I like bolognese so this was what i was looking for. I personally didn't like the steak and wouldn't recommend. It had a weird herbal flavor for me? Service was good and standard. We sat at the outdoor rooftop on a sunny LA afternoon and it was great vibes.
I'm not sure why Margot has such a low rating on Yelp. I recently went back for the first time in a long time. I was in the area and although we just had drinks it was a lovely experience. The staff was friendly and the surface was fairly quick and very attentive, the ambiance was amazing as always. You have to take an elevator up to the third floor, I personally love when you can look down at all the string lights in the area below even while seated inside. This is the perfect spot for a date night, drinks with friends, or showing somebody who's visiting in town a cool spot near the Culver City/Palms area. I'll definitely be back to try the food again, but from what I remember years ago the food was pretty good too :)
This is a new favorite dinner spot for sure! The patio on the roof is nice and has a good view of the Platform in CC as well as surrounding areas. The service was quick but not rushed making Margot a great place for a gathering. The food was excellent. All of the ingredients were so fresh and the flavors were unique and addicting. The drinks are also tastefully crafted. Margot is on InKind if you're looking for a deal, which came in handy for my dining group!
On Easter, 7 of us went to have lunch at Margot in Culver City. Our reservations were for 1 pm and my sister and I parked in the parking structure across the street from the shopping center where the restaurant is located. It was easy and not expensive to park I think it was $5. We were surprised to find that it was not crowded. Walking through the shopping center to the restaurant was very nice, with lots of cute shops so give yourself time to look around either before or after your meal. The entrance to the restaurant is really pretty. We even took some photos of the sign walking in. The indoor dining area is light and bright with lots of natural lighting. We requested to be seated in the patio where there were plenty of umbrellas for shade and nice views of the surrounding landscape. We were promptly greeted by our server and we ordered drinks. Service was not rushed nor was it too slow. I ordered the Utopia, a mocktail... and I have to say it was the best I have had. Not too sweet and looked very pretty with jalapeño dust on the side of the glass. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a non-alcoholic option. All of the other cocktails ordered by our party were equally enjoyable. We ordered several appetizers; the oysters, the hamachi, the charred broccoli and the arancini. All of the appetizers were delicious. My favs were the hamachi and the charred broccoli. I ordered the spicy meatball sandwich for lunch. It was tasty but I found it a bit dry. I probably wouldn't order it again but I brought half of it home and my boyfriend loved it. My sister ordered the fried chicken and she raved about it. I didn't hear any complaints about the other dishes that were ordered. I have included pictures of everything that we ordered. I would definitely go back and we all enjoyed our time, meals and drinks. One thing to pay attention to is the 4% restaurant fee, which the check states is optional and will be removed upon request. We chose to keep the fee and just adjusted the tip accordingly.
I have been wanting to go to Margot for years. I finally had the opportunity to go last Tuesday when I met an old friend for dinner. I was worried about parking but actually it was so easy to find a place where to park. My friend found a spot on the street and I parked on the parking structure across the street. Margot is a beautiful restaurant, the patio is amazing, I loved the decoration and the vibe. We were seated at the patio just next to a big heater which it was great., specially if you always get cold like me. This heater helped me to enjoy the beautiful ambiance of the patio and view. We shared the hamachi and charred broccoli, I basically devoured both. Then I ordered the salmon with wild rice which was outstanding, my friend ordered the gnocchi but I forgot to ask about his verdict. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which I loved. I will definitely come back If you haven't tried Margot, you have missed out a lot.
We had a very nice dinner at Margot. The food was excellent and service was friendly and efficient. Our server was on top of everything and she took great care of us. The restaurant is contemporary and it was very loud. In my opinion it is much more of an adult atmosphere and I did not see any children. The cost my pasta dinner should have been $10 less as $36 for the pasta dish, in my opinion was a bit high. But it was excellent and I did enjoy it. I think the portion size might be a bit small for a hearty eater though. Also expect to spend at least $10 or more to park. I have never seen restrooms like they have. They have several private rooms and a communal area to wash your hands. It seemed to work very well.
Long story short, avoid Margot, and it's on the NOT RECOMMEND list! Ambiance 4/5: it's a cozy and quiet restaurant located on the third level inside the shopping mall next to the metro station, stylish decorations and spacious indoor and outdoor dining area, clean individual restrooms Service 2/5: friendly although very slow, it took a while to get water and food served, I felt being rushed for eating there, our plates were taken away after we put down the utensils and paused a bit, despite there was still a bit left on the plates to finish, it's not like during rush hours people waiting for tables or they were closing for the day, you really don't have to rush your customers Food 1/5: simple menu items for food, not that many choices for both lunch and dinner, their food seems not meeting the sanitation requirements, unfortunately, both got stomach and diarrhea issues after eating here ham and burrata sandwich - ** serrano ham, local burrata, arugula pesto, flavorless sandwich pappardelle - *** ragu bolognese, meat sauce was good, but pasta was undercooked and on the chewier side Price 0/5: small to medium portions and slightly overpriced for its quality, expect about $40 per person. I feel this place is entitled and sneaky, be aware of the 4% restaurant fee, which you wouldn't be able to see the breakdown until you paid the bill, neither the server mention anything before we paid, nor it's not written anywhere on their website or menu. Even though it's optional and can be removed as shown on the receipt, how would you be able to do that without knowing its existence and seeing the term at the first place. We ended up paying more than expected, literally feels like tipping 24% instead of 20%. To be clear it's not about money, I'm okay tipping more or less by my own choice, but I'm definitely not okay being tricked by their shifty system. It could be worse, as this additional fee without advance notice, charged by the restaurant may not even go to the servers in the end, objectively their menu price is high enough to accommodate their mediocre food, business doing things like this won't last in the long run, as it's hard to retain returning customers.
I've been to Margot many times over the years, and my favorite dish is the broccoli. Other items I typical get include: Steak and eggs - part of the brunch menu Broccoli - this is my favorite, it had an excellent vinaigrette yogurt dressing and there's something crunchy on top (I think fried quinoa) that really adds to the overall texture Ora King Salmon - the salmon itself is excellent and melts in your mouth. I especially like the crispy skin on the salmon. The seasoning is simple but good. I'm not a fan of the side salad and sauce that comes with it though. Atmosphere is excellent and service is fine but can be slow sometimes. I like to sit on the patio area, especially on a warm night. My rating is just for the food.
The cuisine is a mix of Californian-Italian-Mediterranean, and everything I've had is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is hip, trendy, and upscale, but without feeling pretentious. They have large windows, setting the perfect vibe for either day or night dining. You wouldn't think frayed black rope hanging from a tall ceiling would look cool in a space, but it works here. The bathrooms are individual stalls (my preference - I don't want to hear other people using the restroom) and they have my favorite Aesop hand soap! We all had a drink and shared 4 small dishes + 1 entree, and it came out to ~$79 per person for 3 people. We were easily able to make a reservation for Margot on the Resy app, and we were able to specify that we wanted to sit in the indoor dining room since it was cold outside (although I love the vibes on the patio). For parking, we self parked in the lot right across the street (8850 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232) and walked through the Platform shopping center. To get to Margot, you take the swanky elevator (hidden in a corner, next to the jewelry store Catbird) and go to the top floor. I loved everything we had and would repeat this exact order again. Here was our order: Yellowtail crudo ($26) calabrian kosho, radish, citrus. Refreshing, citrus-forward, perfect texture. I loved this so much that next time I would order both crudos to share. Patatas bravas ($16) crispy fingerlings potato's with smoked paprika aioli on the side. Yummy for anyone who enjoys potatoes. Wild arugula salad ($20) with hazelnuts, vinaigrette, thinly sliced apples, and Manchego sheep cheese. Light & delicious. Charred broccoli ($24) with garlic yogurt, black garlic vinaigrette, feta. It didn't say it on the menu, but I'm pretty sure it's topped with quinoa. An absolute must order. For our entrée, since we were already on a seafood theme, we went with the Ora king salmon ($38) with black rice, avocado mousse, leeks, and serrano aioli. House Cocktail: The Hugo ($18) with elderflower, Prosecco & mint. Non-alcohol Mocktail: Arancia Spritz ($14) Lyre's Italian orange non-alcoholic spirit & soda. Leaning sweet without being overpowering, served in a fun glass.
1 star - Pricing Transparency Concern (Valentine's Day) I'm sharing this experience so other families and customers know to ask detailed pricing questions before dining here, especially on holidays. On Valentine's Day, my three teenagers (ages 13, 14, and 16) went to Margot for dinner. They've eaten here before, so we expected pricing similar to the regular menu (most entrées listed around $28-$70). However: The reservation confirmation said only "Prix Fixe Menu" -- no price was listed When they arrived, they were given a special menu with no prices No one explained that the Valentine's menu was $150 per person They were told they would receive "one of everything" Because there were three of them, staff said the restaurant would add "extra dishes," which sounded like accommodation -- not three full $150 charges One of my children is gluten-intolerant and was told she couldn't eat about half the menu, but there was no adjustment The final bill was over $550, and the price was only discovered at the end They were also presented with a champagne/alcohol menu, even though all three are minors The main issue is lack of price transparency before service. Had the price been clearly disclosed, they would not have dined that evening. I have contacted the restaurant multiple times by phone and email and have not been able to reach a manager or receive a response. The restaurant itself is a nice space, and past visits were fine, but this experience was very disappointing. If you plan to dine here -- especially for special events -- I strongly recommend confirming total pricing in advance. Sharing this so others don't end up surprised.
Came here for dinner. Wanted to try an Italian spot around culver and decided to give this a try. Made reservations and were seated promptly outside. Each seat had its own heater which made it very comfortable. Great for date night or with a larger group. We got the Boboloti pasta and the squid ink pasta. Both were savory and flavorful. The squid ink was a light bit citrusy and had a lighter profile than the boboloti which was more hearty and filling. The cheese was sharp which was a nice contrast. The pastas were quite aldente (more than our taste) and the pricing was quite high for what it is. Probably wont be back because of that but was still a nice spot to try out once. Food: 7/10 (for the price) Service: 8/10 Ambience: 9/10

The outdoor patio and bar are beautiful! Both from the inside and outside, you know this is a classy place. I only had a number of appetizers when I was here, but I loved every single one of them, especially the raw fish. I'm a big fan of sashimi. This place prepares the sashimi in a bit of a fancy shmancy way and there isn't much fish for the price. But the taste is so good, you'll be tempted to keep ordering it. For drinks, I had their classic Blackbird and a light spritzer. If you're not a fan of strong drinks, these are for you. Blackbird, like blackberries, is a little sweet and tangy. The spritzer is very refreshing and I highly reccomend getting this like a starter drink or if you wanna join in a boozy gathering but don't want to drink that much. read more

Transparency and integrity are everything in a business. This place failed on both counts. They are now charging an "18% service charge" to each customer without informing the patrons ahead of time. It is unclear if any of this extra money goes to the wait staff since it says "this is not a tip or gratuity" and "tips are not expected and are completely at your discretion". The poor waiter had to uncomfortably explain to us that we could leave an extra tip if we wanted to. I completely understand extra costs due to the pandemic, but it would have been nice to have a heads up before I ordered my overly-priced mediocre meal at this restaurant. This place is seriously so good. Came here during sunset time and wow the view inside is beautiful! The big windows are stunning. 10/10 interior. This place is located above soul cycle on level 3 in the way back near the bathrooms at platform. I didn't even know this place existed! The staff is extremely professional and you automatically feel like this place is fine dining from the hostess to the waitress. The food is amazing. My friend and I ordered the sea bream fish, wild arugula salad, and mushroom spaghetti. The mushroom spaghetti is delicious. It's like Casio e Pepe meets a creamy mushroom sauce. The wild arugula salad was so good with the peanuts and sweet beets. I never knew I liked beets! The sea bream was huge and so tasty. It was lemon-y with a delicious pesto sauce on top. There was a lot of meat on the fish. Really happy I got to try this place. I had no idea what to expect. It is a bit pricey but the experience here is worth it. They also validate parking for up to 3 hours which is awesome! read more
My friends and I decided to go to this place on a Saturday for brunch. It was 5 of us and we thought we had reservations, but we ended up having to put our name down. We waited about 1 hour before returning and checking where we were on the list. We were told it would be another hour unless a cancellation was made. My friend checked Yelp and made a reservation and we were seated within 10 minutes. I don't know why it happened that way and that might just be our experience but it was very unpleasant. I almost didn't go back, but we did. The food really saved the day. The brunch/lunch was the menu. Everything was delicious and portions were good for our party size. The drinks were sweet and strong, they were also aesthetically pleasing. Our favorite was the French toast, it was light fluffy and sweet. We haven't stopped thinking about the French toast. We will be coming back, but we will make sure to secure a reservation before we go. read more

I wish I could give this restaurant more than one star, but that's a far stretch. The restaurant's location is in the heart of a beautiful plaza/mall strip. The Ambience of the site is beyond beautiful. The restaurant has tons of plants, so if you're into plants, this might be your "go-to spot." Upon arrival, we were greeted by Kenndy, the host at the front. She was lovely & made sure to acknowledge us right away. As soon as our table was ready, she had another young lady take us to our table. When trying to find a seat for our table, we were asked to go to the left side of the patio & follow behind the waiter. The tables were so close walking through a woman had to move her drink so my hips & booty wouldn't knock them over. I felt that was so RUDE & nasty. How can you have the close tables that caused us to almost put my behind in YOUR customer's drink? (Pretty weird ) ! Right away the waiter came up to our table & asked us what did we want to order. We asked for a minute to see the menu. My Sister & I noticed that employees kept coming by checking our table. But they never went around to other people's tables ( REALLY WEIRD VIBE!!!) We also saw that other customers started to stare at us as though we didn't belong(White customers)! We order the potatoes & cheese, oysters, two black mamba drinks, and a tiki drink Potatoes - 8/10 Oysters- (Although they were raw) 5/10 taste like fresh seawater Black mamba - TRASH! 0/10 taste just like smoked cigarettes! HORRIBLE! DON'T DRINK UNLESS YOU SMOKE CIGARETTES!!!! Tiki - TRASH! I was never notified that the drink had a bottle of coconut in it with rubbing alcohol As the night went on, we were taking photos, and the host that was African American (Not Kenndy) in all black & a European woman (In a gray suit with a pink shirt), started making comments. Whispers as though they wanted us to hurry up and leave. Man, the vibe got EVEN worst than what we were already experiencing. The same European lady kept coming by checking our table but NEVER went by other people's tables. WEIRD! We continued to make the night good. The weather began to change & they had the fire pit (lights) out, but they never sparked them. They choose to spark them as soon as we left the place, though. Overall, great ambiance and friendly servers. The reason why I'm giving a few stars is because we found a piece of plastic in our salad. My friend realized she was chewing plastic after it wasn't breaking down. She initially thought it was a seed. The waiter and manager were very apologetic and handled it cordially. They compensated that specific plate, but when we read our receipt, they wrote an inaccurate reason as to why that order was free. It stated "customer didn't like it." The manager even said no one would want a foreign object in their meal, so that little love note threw us off on our bill. I asked if it was an auto-populated response, but didn't get a real answer. All I was told was that the manager had to put something in the system. Seemed like he was trying to hide something from someone, so just thought I'd share. Usually, I'd let something small like this slide. But during this pandemic, I feel more strongly about having uncontaminated food. read more

The last time I was here was about a year ago maybe? I came maybe an hr or so before closing time to get a few rounds of drinks. The staff was very friendly and the bartender was sweet as well! Fast forward to this year and my date had made reservations for 8:15. We arrived round 8:10 and was asked to wait a few minutes for the table to be set up, no biggie! The host wasn't as friendly as I hoped but he wasn't rude or anything (probably a busy night!). When we got seated, we promptly looked at the menu in front of us and was chatting away about the appetizers, entrees, and drinks we planned to get. We waited for quite some time to have someone come over and take our order. In the end we flagged down our waiter and placed our order! We asked for wine recommendations and he actually offered to bring their wine sommelier over. We happily agreed but changed our mind later as we saw a bottle that we wanted on the menu instead. Food arrived at a relatively fast time. We got the meatballs, arugula salad, pork chops, and a nice bottle of white wine! Food: my date and I both agreed it was mediocre for the price point. There wasn't anything special about each dish and nothing really left me awe of flavor. The arugula salad was fine but it didn't have anything that said "this is Margot style". The meatballs were my least favorite, too dry for my liking. I was hoping the pork chops would be appetizing but it was like any other pork chops. Nothing special and didn't have any speciality sauce or ingredients to make it stand out. Ambiance: the inside is dimly lit with light music. We got the patio seating which was lovely! The weather has been hot recently but luckily there was a nice cool breeze. They did have the heat lamps out which would have been nice if it was much colder but this summer night was not cold or anything so didn't find it useful. Great for setting the mood tho! Service: I found the service to be decent. They weren't rude or anything of that sort just lackluster. Price: I wish I knew but my date paid right away so I didn't get a chance to look at it. But every item was about $20-$50 and the bottle of wine was about $70. Overall, I don't think I'll be dining here again. It's a decent spot to try once but nothing here really stands out. I had a much experience coming here for drinks last year. Luckily my date was great so we still had a great time chatting away! read more
My fiance had a private work event at Margot this past Saturday and the entire patio was reserved with two long tables. We were both pleasantly surprised at how good the drinks and food were. Thank god for the blankets and heaters because it was a chilly night! I ordered a strawberry spritz to start off and it was the most refreshing cocktail ever with rose, strawberry tonic, and cava. Highly recommend! As for dinner, we had the pan con tomate, potatoes bravas, charred broccoli, frisee salad, grilled prawns, whole grilled sea bream, wagyu zabuton, and cappelini. My favorites were the charred broccoli, whole grilled sea bream, and cappelini. I've never had roasted broccoli with a ton of tzatziki and feta cheese before and I was eating them by the spoonful. It was so creamy and rich with crispy quinoa for the extra texture. Sea bream was boneless, so it was easy to grab a piece without destroying the entire fish. The presentation was excellent using tarragon aioli and salsa verde as decoration. Lastly, the cappelini... omg... carby truffle goodness!! I was trying to stop myself but I really had zero will power. It was absolutely delicious!!! Everything else I didn't go in-depth tasted great too, but they just weren't as unique or memorable to document. Dessert was a tiramisu tres leche cake that everyone devoured instantly because it complemented the coffee so well. Definitely on the sweeter side but totally worth every calorie. Overall, I had a blast at Margot. Our entire group migrated over to the rooftop bar area afterwards and it was really pretty even with all the construction closeby. I LOVE Margot! It's actually.... dare I say it... my favorite spot in Culver. But that's partly because there's not many of its kind in the area. One of the few rooftops in Culver, Margot offers inside and outside seating and bar, which is perfect for a beautiful day in LA. The drinks are great, and food is good. Perfect for happy hour with coworkers or a lunch date. To be honest the only thing that keeps me from Margot is the location, parking is kind of annoying at the Platform (parking garage and a few metered street spots), and there aren't many places to hop around to after/before, so Margot really has to be a destination of sorts. Which is perfect for HH or if you're in the area. It's also across the street from the Culver metro stop so that is super convenient. I've been there for lunch and dinner, dinner is a little pricey but legitimately good, dinner is moderately priced and was good enough to get me to go back. Will definitely be going back, especially if they bring their happy hour A-game. read more
The Ambiance is very refreshing when you walk in. This restaurant is on the 3rd floor & immediately as you step in to the elevator, who does decorated with art. Right as you step out you are greeted with very floor to ceiling windows, and lots of greenery. It just feels FRESH!They have indoor and out door patio seating. Initially we were going to eat outside, but my friend had on the wrong attire so we chose inside. Every seat gave you a great view of Culver City. Our server was named Jayce, very sweet and made great recommendations. Excellent coffee martini we had 2 each! And one champagne. Broccoli for appetizers, I enjoyed it but my date did not. For our plates, I had the Fried chicken, sooo goood paired with a salad. And my date had the French toast, now that, that looked Divine! I should've taken a bite but I didn't. Get both when you go, one for each of your savory and sweet tooth! read more
Beautiful brunch spot in Culver City! Make sure you make a reservation- came here on Saturday at noon and this place was packed! The food is great and the portion is reasonable. It is on the pricier side. Each dish is about $15-30. I recommend eggs and polenta and sweet pancakes. Their fried chicken was slightly disappointing. Tip: it is complementary valet parking when you dine at Margot so make sure you take advantage of it! read more
Great patio, decor and vibe is très chic and hip. The food and cocktails were solid but not a great value, all things considered. It feels like more of a place to see and be seen rather than a gastronomy destination. There is a newer spot nearby that fits both aforementioned categories. read more
I would not come back here given the *extremely expensive* prices. My girlfriends and I were all pretty shocked when the bill came. They charged $25 for a plate of broccoli for example! The food was incredible but just not worth the prices. You can find several other fabulous and less expensive options in Los Angeles. That being said, the decor is totally on point, and the vibes are great. read more
A little complicated to get to but has its own designated lot, on a Wednesday night at 5:30 it started really getting busy around 6 which was a little surprising given the reviews. I only popped in for drinks and apps with some coworkers so I can't speak to the entrees, but all the apps we tried were surprisingly really good. If you get any, try the potato bravas!! sauce is to die for. Bread is also so fluffy and flavored with a white creamy dip. Gorgeous views and interior decor. Bathrooms are not separated by gender but have floor to ceiling doors and the communal sink area. Cute to come for a date if you're really trying to splurge, but it's definitely pricey as other reviews point out. The most impressive aspect was definitely the ambiance they've created here. read more
Had an amazing brunch here with friends. Margot's patio is beautiful on a rooftop in Culver City. It was really hard to find, tucked away off of Washington Blvd, but once you find it, they have their own easy valet and their own elevator and people guiding you along the way. They do have lovely modern indoor seating with high airy ceilings, but I love their patio too. My husband and I met 2 friends here for brunch recently and it was like a little vacation, so sunny and relaxing and we felt so well taken care of. We all had the "7:41pm cocktail" of vodka, aperol, passionfruit, pineapple, & lime. It was so lightly sweet, tangy, summery (it wasn't fall yet at the time lol). We all went in on an order of the "black truffle soft scramble," which is their scrambled eggs with parmesan on grilled house focaccia drizzled with olive oil. The truffles made it a great decadent, rich, splurge of a dish for us to all share. This place has perfected scrambled eggs. This soft scramble was so creamy yet substantial, and so gloriously eggy. Tasted like really fresh high-quality eggs. The bread that came with it went with it sooo well and was their delicious house foccacia, served in just the right generous portion for the eggs. Loved this place. The ambiance, the service, the crowd - and on the day we were there - a band that played speak easy music. Drinks were great - a bit overpriced for what you get but it's LA. On this birthday month outing we ventured out of our usual part of town to The Platform at Culver City. After Valet and an elevator ride arrived to the second floor restaurant Margot. My friend was already there and the reservations in order. We sat in a lovely outdoor corner by the potted citrus trees. Perfect for catching up. I went for a festive Spritzer and we shared the broccoli...seriously sprinkled with feta and sitting atop a yogurt sauce. Magical and highly recommended. We came during the dinner and the temperature was great and good ambience. The service was great and very attentive. 1. potatoes bravas - 5 2. hamachi crudo - 4 3. grilled focaccia - 5 4. wild arugula salad - 4 5. charred broccoli - 5 6. spaghetti - 5 7. squid ink campanelle - 4 8. rigatoni - 4 9. seafood risotto - 4 10. heritage pork chop - 3 11. Black Mamba - 4 1. Really good and crispy and the aioli was a right spicyness 2. Very fresh and good starters 3. This was my favorite dish with dried tomatoes and garlic. So simple yet delicious 4. Simple and good if you wish to have green as part of the dinner 5. The charred flavor was a great balance to the broccoli. I really enjoyed this dish. Glad we got two of this. 6. Another favorite of the meal. Very simple flavors but really good. A must. 7. I enjoyed this dish. It was a mix of Mediterranean and Italian flavors 8. Great spot for both a date night and dinner with friends! Dishes can be easily shared and cocktails were aplenty. It's on the pricier end but I liked most of the dishes and would return to splurge. **favorites Negroni Finnochettio: Solid, easy to drink *Two Towns (Oregon pineapple cider): Yum Oysters: Standard, nothing special **Hamachi Crudo: Licking the plate here, it was that good. It balanced citrus and herbaceous flavors. Smoked Fish Dip: I don't like smoked fish much and it didn't change my mind. Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata: Average. **Charred Broccoli: Roasting makes all veggies taste good but the crispy quinoa and feta took textures and taste to the next level. *Bone-in Pork Chop: Well cooked and I liked the pairing with the tart cherry sauce. We also got two desserts that were a lovely end to the meal but not super special. Serving sizes are standard for fine dining. The ambience as others have mentioned, is top notch. Beautiful vibes throughout the space. We were here for brunch: I found the service to be pretty basic, not amazing. We had their two gin & tonic cocktails which were refreshing but heavy on the tonic. Their fried chicken is tasty but they give you 3 very small pieces with a side of overdressed salad for over $30. The poached eggs with polenta was very good. Also, the coffee cake under the pasties section was killer. We will be back but will try a few other dishes as we only LOVED two of them. read more
I went here for a friend's birthday brunch on a Saturday morning and it surprisingly wasn't crowded. The location was convenient, as it is adjacent to the Metro station and neighbors Boba Guys and Blue Bottle Coffee. The restaurant's interior was chic and aesthetic to snap some birthday pictures. The waiter recommended the charred broccoli, which I was initially hesitant about, but it ended up being very tasty. Who would have thought broccoli and Greek yogurt would complement each other so well? However, I thought the rest of the items we ordered weren't fantastic and the overall brunch menu was very limited. My friend and I had dinner at the restaurant. There was a very limited menu with very little shareable items. We ordered three espresso martinis, and two out of the three glasses smelt like dirty dishrags and when we told the waiter, he said, the foam is egg whites. There is a description of all their drinks and ingredients and there was no mention of egg whites. I'm pretty sure I know the difference from an egg smell and a dirty dishrag smell. They also put a 4% charge on your bill. None of the six of us were happy with the food or the service. read more

My friends and I decided to come here for a Saturday brunch, and overall, we had a really good time. The check-in was seamless, the food tasted great and the vibes were immaculate. That said, I would highly recommend reserving a table online because although we booked a table for 11:15 am (which is right when they open), this place started to fill up fast and there were so many people already waiting to get a table when we arrived. Plus you might get seated at a nice outdoor table on the patio if you get there early enough like we did! For food, their options are quire limited and there are only about ~8 things to choose from. And although I really wanted egg benedicts, they didn't have it. Instead, I got the chicken and salad ($24) and I actually ended up really liking it! The chicken was cooked just right and the hot sauce they paired the chicken with was quite good - it tasted like a combination of honey and Louisiana sauce! My friends ended up trying the avocado toast and cauliflower salad and they really liked what they got as well. Apparently the avocado toast was a bit on the spicier side, so do keep that in mind if you were to order it. Their prices are pretty average for LA - with each plate ranging from $15-30. The service was also great and everyone was very kind and attentive. But I think what makes Margot so great is the ambiance! It's very modern and filled with plants and natural light - truly felt like I was worth a million bucks when I was in there. Overall, would definitely recommend checking this place out if you want to experience an elegant dining experience with an ambiance to boot! read more
Came here for happy hour with my siblings. Very expensive for the amount of food you get. We ordered the house made focaccia that was made with a spanish cheese and a roasted eggplant dip. (tasted very cheesy) For drinks we ordered: - berry spritz (contained lillet rouge, raspberry, soda) - and just like that (contained vodka, creme de violette, hibiscus, lime) I feel like we could've made the drinks at home, but the ambiance of this place is good and it's decorated very nicely. read more
Margot is a newly opened Mediterranean restaurant located in a trendy shopping block of Culver City. They have both indoor and outdoor dining, and are located on the rooftop. The ambience is chic, bustling, and trendy. It's a great spot for a night out with friends or with your partner. Our waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable about the food. He was very chatty and definitely enhanced our experience here. The ambience and service were definitely the pros. The food, not so much. We ordered three dishes to share between us. Margot's dishes are tapas-style, but the dishes we ordered were all on the larger side. We both liked the two vegetable dishes we had, the potatoes bravas, and the charred broccoli. The charred broccoli was served with a cheesy vegetable sauce, and I couldn't stop myself from eating more of this, even when I was full. The fish was both our least favorite dish. I eat a plant-based/pescatarian diet most of the time, and this was only one of the larger dishes that wasn't a meat dish, so we didn't have much option here. Our waiter had warned us that it was a whole fish. The taste of the fish was fine, and I liked the charcoal sauce that it came with, but it was a bit difficult to get the bones out. This wasn't anything special, and I wouldn't order this next time. The ambience is so lovely that I probably will come back another time, but will try other dishes. Really enjoyed my experience at Margot a few days ago! I initially had a hard time finding the place but you need to enter a glass door into a building and take the elevator to the top floor. The staff was very friendly and personable the whole time; it seemed like everyone there was really enjoying their time. The terrace is beautifully decorated and the tables are well distanced. All the food was amazing, although I do think the price reflects the rooftop location and not just the quality of the food. I ordered the truffle conchiglie which was sooo tasty! It was kind of like a classy and exquisite truffle mac and cheese. My friends ordered the seafood risotto and wagyu rigatoni which I tasted and thought were also delicious. I also ordered the black mamba cocktail and the hamachi crudo appetizer. The crudo was very little for the price but that's pretty expected; it was still fantastic and had a great flavor. I would skip on the cocktails next time because I didn't think it was anything too special. Altogether I would definitely come back for an occasion or a nice night out with friends! This would also be a nice date spot given the location and ambiance. Definitely recommend read more

The definition of why auto service charges are bad. Im giving two stars because the Host was top quality 5 stars. 1st star lost due to the fact that it was not explained that there was only a brunch menu yet when you scan the QR code you have access to all menus. It gave the impression that you had to order from your phone and there was no waiter to service the table. However, after ordering on my phone and the server arriving after 5 minutes (not the immediate to one minute industry standard) we were told that indeed only the brunch menu was available. She did not check what was already ordered until only one part of the order came out. 2nd star lost: Table maintenance was horrible. In between courses after food was dropped of by manager my mother wanted new utensils and was given pushback as to why someone would even want that. Empty plates not even cleared. 3rd star lost: Food didn't come out at the same time and no drinks were offered. Lastly I asked the server if they had a Chardonnay to which she said no and offered me a chablis instead. After asking to see the rose I decided to just look at the menu as I didn't want a rose and ordered a Sangiovese instead. What do I get a Sangiovese Rose mind you its not often you see this style of Rose. Why well its clear she was just an order taker and knew gratuity was included so why not especially is you don't know what you're selling. It just goes to show that Auto gratuity is useless when it comes to expecting quality service because servers know they will get paid. its such a shame. Oh and I tipped on top of the gratuity because I don't want any excuses to why service was so bad. This is just another IG worthy spot where bad service makes good food taste bad. read more

Nice server this morning and accommodating host staff . Jason was great about recommendations , taking his time with us , even on a busy Mother's Day . All the food was solid - my favorite was the OATMEAL PANCAKES -- pro tip - order the syrups on the side so you can dip them in the Nutella stuff . Pancakes came topped with A kettle corn like nut and seed mixture ( so yum ). I also really enjoyed the avocado toast and the potato bravas . Is indoor seating better than patio for an evening?
While I have only been there for lunch, I always perfer the patio when weather permits. They do have heaters on the patio, if needed.
Is bar seating open?
I wouldn't recommend that, when we had our advance reservation, Margot called to cancel our reservation while we were driving to the restaurant.
Do they take walk-ins right now or is it reservation only?
They take both. Reservations preferred due to wait times on weekends.
What vegan options do they have?
They have a very small vegan Option of basically salads.
Does Margot have live music now during covid with only patio dining ? If so which days?
No live music currently. They do, however, have plans to start back next year.
Is this a kind of place where guys can wear proper suit?
I'm sure lots of men come here after work in their suits. It's a hip spot.
Is patio better or inside?
The patio! However make sure construction from the building across the street is done.
How do you make reservations for a party under 15? The automated system is terrible
I used Resy for a party of 11; no issues. You do have to give a credit card to reserve but can cancel up to 24 hours in advance.
Is it fun for a birthday celebration? Do they have music on Thursday night?
It is perfect for a birthday! Beautiful spot, good food, nice atmosphere, and they do have live music many nights of the week and a live jazz band during Sunday afternoons. I would call to double check Thursdays. Open until 2 AM daily.
What type of music is played in the outside bar?
On weekends we have been there is a lovely 5 piece Big Bang style. It's quite lovely!
Do they have parking?
Yea free valet in the garage only for Margot patrons. I guess just tip payment if you please.
Do you allow dogs during brunch?
Yes, I have been there with my dog, a big doberman, and they welcomed her with love and fresh water. We sat outside though, and normally that's the rule, dogs have to be outside. But it's a rooftop so you will enjoy being outdoors!
Do they only take reservations or can you just walk in?
Seating areas in the bar for walk ins.
