Went back to try other stuff. Today was not crazy busy unlike the first time we came. We ordered the ube pancake. Yummy! It was delicious and it was big. Love the ube syrup too. We also tried the solo meal for the day which was pork binagoongan. Wow, it was so good. It was supposed to be a meal just for my hubby but I could not stop myself from eating it. Will be back again to try other dishes.

I visited Marie's Kitchen for lunch on a Wednesday. It was busy but not too busy so we were able to order and get seated quickly. The inside feels nice and homey. We ordered the Wednesday special which is Dinuguan with a side of lumpia. It's a stew that almost reminds me of mole (excluding the sweetness). It's savory, slightly tangy, with a little bit of spice and is so delicious with rice. We also ordered the corned beef silog which was also very good. For dessert, we got the ube pancakes and coconut pandan pancakes, and I can say you MUST try the coconut pandan! They're both not that sweet, but the coconut pandan flavor is stronger than the ube one which I prefer more. They're a decent size (comes in a stack of 3) so definitely shareable! Overall, I would definitely come back! Eating here feels like eating a home cooked meal, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is also very sweet!

Hole in the office building off 635, first time in. My wife is from the Philippines so I like to bring her a taste of her cuisine whenever we get the chance. Most the time we go Vietnamese to please my ancestors but it's nice to branch out once in a while. Came on a Sunday at 10am, they were serving just breakfast items. I just had the ube pancakes which were my favorite item and the longonisa. Nice overall spot! Would come back if I'm in the area for sure.

I've seen this place all over tik tok and went to go try it with some of my Filipina friends. The lumpia was nice and hot and had a great crisp too them. The corner beef was also great and tastes amazing, however the rice kind of seem undercooked and had a pretty firm mouthfeel which i didn't enjoy as much. The pancakes were the main reason i came here. The pandan taste was spot on, but the ube lacked the strong flavor i was looking for; however the syrup taste for both were good and added lots of flavor. I also got one of the Ube brownies which was really my favorite thing there, seemed fresh and tasted amazing. Overall this place is a nice cozy, wholesome spot. Everyone in there was kind and helped us out with everything

Fantastic little spot in Richardson/Dallas. Cannot believe this was my first time going after growing up here. I was very sad (but also selfishly not) to see the space was not packed. I think this is the perfect place to be a regular or to try Filipino food for the first time (like me). I ordered the milkfish Filipino breakfast (btw this is a great option for pescatarian and vegetarian friends) which comes with milkfish, garlic rice, and two fried eggs. It was my first time trying milkfish and it was delicious and not too complicated to eat. The Ube pancakes we ordered were also fantastic. They actually tasted like Ube and not just purple vanilla like some places will try to do. I will say it's a little tricky to find the actual shop which most likely contributes to it not being packed all the time but this is truly a hidden gem. Service was fantastic. The owners and employees obviously care a lot about this business. I will be back!

This restaurant is located inside a business building. It's very small inside with a few tables. It was busy and packed with people when I arrived. They were only serving breakfast all day on Sunday. I ordered the corn beef breakfast. There wasn't anywhere for me to sit so I went outside and sat outside. The corn beef breakfast was ok. I will try other options the next time I'm in town.

I've been thinking of the corned beef silog, and decided to come by after a nearby appointment to see if it was as good as I remembered. The answer is: Yes! Just as good, and just as filling. I added an order of lumpia as well, which I didnt realize would have so many portions! After eating this meal, I was literally full for the rest of the day.

We visited Marie's Kitchen on a Sunday around 1 pm, they close at 2. The place is tiny so there are only about five tables and they were all full. It's located inside an office building. All the menu items were priced at $12, except for the pancakes and halo halo and everything comes served in to-go foil plate, though you can still dine in. They were out of Halo Halo when we went. I ordered the Sardinas Silog, which was sardines with tomato, two eggs, and rice. We also got the ube pancake it was huge and definitely shareable.

Their food is really good! I'm a bit bummed they don't have extended hours for dinner, but I get that it's an office building canteen. Their ube pancakes are just as good as they look, and the sauce is amazing. The tofu sisig was incredible. I don't even miss the meat. They are prompt and friend and deserve all the accolades. I can't believe we've been missing out! I just wish I didn't work and live so far away!

The restaraunt is very small and at the side of a medical building(?). The ube pancakes looked burnt but were super delicious. It took maybe 5 minutes to cook. The pancakes weren't very sweet, so perfect for me. The prices are also very reasonable. Definitely check them out!

Ube pancakes were Incredible!!! Huge Filipino food fan, my mother is Filipino and I was born there. Typically I cook any and all Filipino food myself but at times I enjoy venturing out and finding spots like this. We ordered the pork adobo, Tocilog,, Tapasilog and lumpia. Everything was excellent. Definitely will be back for the pancakes again! Customer service was outstanding as well but hey, the guys Filipino and hospitality is our thing!! Thank you all at Marie's we enjoyed ourselves

We got here @ 8:45am on a Sunday. No crowd. We ordered (from the Filipino breakfast): Lechon Kawali silog Longsilog Ube pancakes Good portions, tasty, not too greasy. Dining in is a little tight Service is very good Will return again.

    Beef Nilaga, a special item

The love and passion comes across when you eat here. Such kind folks cooking up absolutely tasty food. I had the beef nilaga soup today. INCREDIBLE. So cozy here. The pandan pancakes are such a treat! The lechon kawali sooooo good. Tapsilog--amazing. Just such a great first time experience and looking forward to coming back!!!

Ask the Community - Marie’s Kitchen

Do they have any Filipino chicken dishes at lunch?

Do they have siopao asado here?

    No this is a restaurant.

Are there any gluten free options? 🙂

I wouldn't call anything gluten free. They have a lot of rice dishes. Some have bread but you can leave it off or substitute for rice.

The lady that took my order had such a not so pleasant attitude and when she spoke it was extremely low and the way she stared at me made me feel a way. As i waited for my food to be prepared the talking in spanish at the grill began...i stayed quiet and listened as the lady dug into a box on the counter next to the register giving me "looks". I promise, I have never seen this lady in my life so i didn't understand why she was so weird towards me. Before leaving, i told the cook thank you... he smiled, and they started speaking Spanish again and i turned my back to face them as i was walking out and one of the guys smiled a weird smile at me, really weird....i walked out got in my car and they all started laughing. The most disrespectful experience that i have ever encountered before. I will not be back that was unacceptable! P.S. I am a Dominicana maybe they thought I was not.. and didn't understand them... Very disrespectful and disappointing!

The menu is fairly simple with slight variations on how the main protein or component is served. I mainly order the chicken entree with the chicken being juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Rice and a side salad (I upgrade to the very tasty Greek salad) complete the dish for a balanced, refreshing, and nutritious meal. Must Try Item: The Loaded Fries, are my guilty pleasure. They are basically french fries topped with spicy feta cheese. Would never even think to pair the two together, but such a match makes for an culinary delight. And for those worried about it being spicy, its not, just gives the flavor more punch, no actual heat. Makes for a great appetizer. The quality and care that goes into the food is obvious as everything comes out looking fresh, healthy, and appetizing. While it does have places to eat your meal in the establishment, no make mistake that this is very much a take out place. Don't come hoping for a sit down, table service restaurant. Its light, airy, modern, and well maintained/cleaned. The staff are friendly, helpful, and pretty thorough with your take out making sure that the items you ordered are exactly the items you get, and packaged with care to insure it arrives to your destination in good condition. While this may be a take-out establishment, you should be prepared for prices on the higher end so expect to pay more per person. The food portions are of a good amount and with the elevated quality, the elevated pricing kinda makes sense. The pricing really is the only drawback, otherwise I'd eat here more often.
