Disappointing experience. We went on Sunday to order the French Toast special as we had seen it advertised online at a discounted price. No wait and the food itself was just OK - maybe a slightly less tasty version of a Denny's breakfast. The waiter was nice (hence two stars) but made several mistakes on our order. When the bill came, there was no discount. We asked at the front and they said you needed a voucher with the Player's Club card. Even though we were staying at the hotel, we didn't have the Player's Club card (not gamblers) and the station to get one wasn't open. So they wouldn't provide any discount, and made us pay full price for a less than satisfying meal. read more

The food was good but the service was AMAZING! The food came fairly quickly considering how busy they were. The server was so polite and patient with me. I had to send one of my chicken breast back due to it being overcooked but he took it to the back with a smile on his face. NOT a fake smile. He talked and chatted, he was quick getting our drinks filled and our bill taken care of. MILITARY DISCOUNT was given to us. Me, my husband, and our three kids all left with half of our meals. This is the spot for late night steggs! I feel like there aren't a lot of people who know about this place. Wayyyyy better than south point steggs for sure. When they say medium rare, they really make it that way! You ask for your hash browns crispy, they don't come out semi burnt. Eggs scrambled, it's not watery. I love love love this place! Doesn't smell like smoke and not too much belligerently drunk people. The servers are attentive, and some even remember my face and my order. It's almost embarrassing that I come here so much but I do appreciate those who value and remember their repeat customer. Solid choice for a place open 24/7! It has an old school diner vibe with no frills in terms of decoration. They have an extensive menu for all of your needs, we opted for breakfast. Did you even go to vegas if you didn't get $5.99 STEAK AND EGGS?? Now you're thinking the steak has to be low quality, right? NAH, THE STEAK IS SO TENDER AND PERFECT BRUHH.. I didn't really like the pancakes as it tasted a bit like rubber, so I go with toast now. It comes with butter and jelly but I also like to eat it with my over easy eggs. They have plenty of different condiments available but I stick with A1 and tobasco yummy !! The texture of the steak is always consistent every time I come back too! My friend wanted to try something new and got the baby back ribs for only $14 and got the side of salad and mac& cheese. He let me try both and they were both pretty good. I've always enjoyed coming here a lot, Marilyns is usually a solid place to get cheap, standards at good prices, close to the strip and with easy parking. Today's visit, my first since Jan 2019 was slightly disappointing though. The first time I visited since the refurb in 2018 nothing else had changed but today wasn't so good. Despite a few staff standing around it took a couple of minutes to be greeted/seated today which was an unexpected bad start, service is usually great here. This continued throughout waiting to order although when the waitress came she was friendly. The menu has also changed with a couple of items sadly missing, such as the country fried steak as an entree, although in fairness they were happy to prepare this. The food was good as always with generous portions. In summary, it was still okay but noticeably not as good as usual - I really hope this was an off day and not a sign of further negative changes to come. Dropped a star for service and one for the menu changes - I know the menu is still long - but this is one of the things I loved about this place. We came here for steaks and prime rib dinner. Service was great however you have to be patient to eat here because they are always busy. Getting seated is not a problem...it's getting the food is a little wait. Which is normal when you come with a big party. I love the service we got from our waiter and busser...I wished I could've got my waiters name but I didn't catch it. What I don't like is having to pay up front at the cashier. I think it is inconvenient. I did go and tried to pay for our dinner but I did not like how I had to wait there without be acknowledged by Sonia (the cashier...and could be the manager. I was standing there for a while...she could've at least say she will be right with me or one moment please. We sat all the way at the back so...I did walk up front and forgot to bring my ID because I'm paying with my debit/credit card. There was a wait as apparently this place is pretty popular but it was do-able. Services was ok, it did seem somewhat lacking but not horrible. There were times when I waited quite some time for a refill on my coffee. Also, I got my food before my mimosa arrived which was weird since it's a simple drink to make. Food was average but you really can't complain because the prices are very reasonable. We walked out spending $30 on two breakfasts, coffee, a soda and a mimosa. This review is only for the steak and eggs. Prices keep increasing every time I come (it was like $3.99 back then but now it's $5.99), but it is still the best late-night steak and eggs in town. Note, this pricing only applies after 1am or something super late like that, but hey, it's perfect for those after-clubbing munchies. I've never ordered anything else here. My steak is always cooked perfectly medium rare. The one at Ellis Island is always overdone. I get my eggs sunny side up with runny yolk. Sourdough toast, which they spread melted butter all over. You don't even need the jam that they give you. And then hash browns to round it all out. Some places give you fried potatoes, which is just not the same. The good thing is that the server communicated with us and told us that the food will be coming out soon and that it was crazy at the kitchen. I appreciated this because we didn't even ask her where our food was, she approached us. The omelette was pretty bland. There wasn't much flavor and I don't think they added many if any seasoning. It came with a side of hash browns and toast, which were both pretty okay. The food wasn't that memorable. The positives I can say about this place is the affordability. A majority of the menu's prices are good deals considering how large to plates are. However, the slow service and quality of the food overpowers the positive aspects of this restaurants review in my opinion. If your looking for a breakfast spot on the more affordable side, I do recommend this place.
