Can't speak to the quality of the sales dept as I haven't bought here. However, the service department (at least the front desk staff (not the technicians) have wasted a rather stupendous amount of my time over the several trips I've made here. Just this morning, I came in for a previously set service appointment for a couple of recalls on my vehicle. When I actually spoke to the guy at the desk, he informed me that (a) they need to check which recalls are active on my vehicle right now. Turns out there are four, up from two when I made the appointment only a month ago... More importantly, though, the main recall I'm here to take care of requires a part (this has been known) which they don't have and need to order... supposedly the car needs to physically be here for them to order the part?! And yet it's not going to arrive for 5-10 days, and then once they have it they're gonna need the car for 2-3 days to do the service work. Oh and (b) the other recalls will take all day. And of course I would have had to have requested a loaner for all this, including the repair that takes days (not including the 5-10 days of waiting for the part). Has there ever been a service customer who has been totally cool with losing their their car for 2-12 days? So, I'm leaving, basically having accomplished a "Hi! I'm here for my appointment... which is now being punted out at least a week because nobody bothered to have what they needed to accomplish the thing I came here _explicitly_ to do. Ok bye." Can someone please explain WHY I needed to rearrange my entire morning so that you guys could order a part and send em on my way?!? What a ridiculous waste of my time. FWIW, this is not the first time Marin County Ford has made a service appointment vastly more convoluted for the end customer (me) than necessary. read more

Online suggests it is under 20 min effort. 3 days later I decided to pick up car, finished or not. When I arrived discovered work was completed, they just hadn't notified me or returned my calls inquiring. I paid a $500 deposit to this dealership for a new truck more than a month ago, but they never placed the order. Rather than simply admitting their error and apologizing when I went in to see what happened, the sales associate and the general manager tried to gaslight me with false documentation by insisting they had placed the order at the time I paid the deposit. The general manager was also very aggressive and rude. I later was able to confirm with Ford directly that the dealership had not placed the order until today. Although I am a prior customer, I am very disappointed with the unethical and unprofessional conduct from the general manager and will never do business with this dealership again. read more

This review focuses on both Luis Carrillo in Service as well as Glenn Ross in Sales. I came in because I had some interest in a GT-350 and he actually had 2 in stock. both were very desirable (to me) and he was 1. Very patient with all my lil questions 2. Very knowledgeable in his products (which is actually rare in car sales) and finally 3. Not high pressure in his sales technique. He gave me the numbers and unfortunately the numbers didn't work for me and he understood and respected that. The next aspect of the Marin Co. Ford experience is Luis Carrillo in Service. I had to bring my car in for some warranty work and I had to wait about a week or so to get my car in (all of the service centers had the same amount of wait) and we found out that an obscure assembly was defective and it was going to take about a week to just get the part in. This is where Mr. Carrillo's experience shined. He was very clear with communication to me and reached out several times while my car was in for service giving me updates about when the part(s) came in and estimated time of completion. All in all both Service and sales aspects of Marin Co. Ford were really good and I would have no problem going back for either a new car or getting said car serviced. read more

I asked what could I do... call the warranty, the other dealership etc. he said "No without the record they cannot do the service. Marin County Ford Service Department has been total hell to work with. They currently have had my truck for 22 days. They do not answer their calls, they do not call back when you leave a message. The rare times we have been able to make contact, they say they are waiting for parts and will call us back and then never do. They denied the main problem we have had with the truck had ever been addressed there before, although they had fixed it in April of 2018, less than a year of buying it new. Their fix allowed Ford to skirt the lemon law by 1 day. And of course they have no loaner cars and we have had to borrow a car. We got ahold of the service department today, asked for Marco and was told he was on the shop floor. We left a message a little after noon, and now that it is after 3pm he still has not returned our call. Our story: Ford sold us a lemon, it has had the same repeated issue of the computer going nuts, showing all sorts of codes, loss of gauges, WHILE DRIVING. It seemed to fix itself the first time it happened, I mentioned it to Marin County Ford Service Department when I took it in for routine service, they could not replicate the issue. Then on a rode trip to Eastern Oregon, it did the same thing again while attempting to start, but it would not start. We had it towed to the Madras Oregon Ford Dealership and they had it for 29 days unable to fix the issue until it miraculously restarted. Ford corporate shipped it home. Upon arrival it would not start again. Having scoured Ford Repair bulletin boards, I diagnosed the issue as being just a simple loose diode under the E-brake. I popped the E-brake a few times and the truck started. Took it to Novato Ford and they did the 5 minute fix of reconnecting the diode, taping it together and taping it down. The fix worked for a few years, until late 2021. Scary sometimes as it occurs while driving and has done so at highway speed, losing all gauges! But it was intermittent going months in between. I mentioned the issue every time we went in for service, but they were unable to replicate it. Thus here we are, with a recall fix, crazy codes and more and even with being shown video, Marco said they have never addressed the computer issue. They suck. Wish we pushed harder and forced Ford corporate to lemon law it. Photos show my truck today, 14 December 2022, after 22 days at the shop, just sitting in the chain linked lot for vehicles already fixed or waiting to be fixed. read more

So the AC goes from cold to warm in summer and heater blows hot to cold air in the winter. A clinking noise when going in reverse. Easy stuff. 3rd Ford I owned at the same dealer, love the Hybrid Titanium Fusion and the focus. Both cars have air conditioning problems. Service dept acts like I'm the first one to complain. Scratch their heads as if it's a mystery. Left the car for 5 days and nothing but any empty pocket because you pay even if they don't fix. Came back 5 weeks later and asked if they could please give me 10 min for a mechanic to take a drive around the block. NO was there answer but come back in 6 hours. That's after I left work and drove 40 min to shop. DONT BUY A FORD from this so called PREMIER dealership!! read more

What a s#!$ show, the service department is so poorly run. Lack of follow-up, missed deadlines and I am the one that has to continue to call for status updates. I had a feeling this would be the experience when checking in the car... had to track down someone to help. Was told to use self checking form because they were busy. What was supposed to be a 1 day service ended up being 3 because they underestimated the time and did not have the parts (even though I asked prior if they had all the parts). I also asked about paint issue which they said didn't get covered (not sure they even submitted claim). Stay away if you can. I purchased a car from Marin County Ford in March of 2022. The car was used and so I had them run a Carfax for me. Well, the Carfax that was provided to me did not disclose all the mechanical issues that the car had with the previous owner. All that was listed were oil changes and tire rotations etc... So I was fooled in to believing the car was a good condition lease return. Since driving the car off the lot, I have had nothing but issue after issue. After filing a lemon claim with Ford, turns out this car was part of a buy back program in 2020 because it was faulty, it was NOT a lease return. Marin County Ford did not disclose any of this to me and I only recently saw all the mechanical issues and transmission issues, that the previous owner had, on an ACCURATE Carfax. Do not buy from them. They are crooks!!! The finance manager also pressed me into purchasing the extended warranty on the car, which I did. The extended warranty was a total waste of money. I have had to pay for every other issue out of pocket for this car. read more
