oh. em. gee. best pasta i've ever had in my life…read more i was looking online for an italian restaurant and this came up multiple times. first off, the interior is gorgeous, plush green seats and antique style. we ordered their special items of the night: lobster risotto and the vodka veal. genuinely the best risotto i've ever had. the people online were not lying when they said their vodka rigatoni was the best. it was indeed very very delicious. even though all of us were full from the pasta, we still had to get tiramisu. it was a perfect way to end the meal. our server was great and attentive, thank you for a wonderful meal.

The chicken marsala was absolutely perfect, still steaming on the plate as she placed it before me. I told myself I would only eat half the dish and take the rest back to my hotel for snacking later. However, my taste buds are not allow me to stop feasting on this Italian delicacy. If you're ever in the area, don't worry about the other Italian restaurants in the downtown, although I am sure that they are well and good, but Giacomo's is well worth your consideration. My only regret is that I only have one more night here to try another one of their delectable dishes.

There weren't too many apps that caught my eye, particularly lacking veggies. Service is on the ruder side. They automatically add 20% tip to your bill.

I had a great time at this family-owned spot with my friends! We really enjoyed the homey feel and the homemade food, which made it all the more cozy. The house salads were fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette dressing was light and tasty. My beef ragu bolognese had a subtle sweet-savory flavor, not drowning in sauce, which I really enjoyed. Every dish we tried was flavorful in its own way. The lemon sorbet for dessert was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Since I'm not big on sweets, it was the perfect light ending to my meal. The service was excellent, with everyone being friendly and accommodating. Mario's was like a perfect Italian restaurant on a movie set. After a long day helping our daughter move from Connecticut to Boston, we walked around the corner to this lovely place with a warm welcome, great menu, incredible specials list, DELICIOUS food, perfect service and happy atmosphere. I wish we all lived here so that the family could meet once a week for the wonderful food and staff. Been going to Mario'sfor years but not in the last year or so, since I now visit fromFlorida. We had an excellent dinner there the other evening. My perrenial favorite, veal with vegetables, could not have been better! fellow diners had Chicken Lisa, Breaded veal cutlets with marinara, and Veal Parmigiana. All were very satisfied. Marinara was pretty decent and the house dressing was very tasty. Bread with the meal was very good quality. Bottom line? Has to be amongst the best for veal dishes. read more

Mario's was the perfect choice for dinner being our last night here in New England! The Chelsea location was close to our hotel, the food (amongst our selections, Scampi and Lasagna coupled with the hostess recommended bruschetta) we're perfect! Not over seasoned, tasty, hot and amply portioned! Despite profusely apologizing and explaining ourselves, our server simply gave us a withering look and shamed us for not having any other options and for not having anyone to hand the leftovers to and for not "mentioning this detail to her earlier." For a place that is so renown for being "treated like a family," that interaction simply stated otherwise. Never have we been treated this way for simply being unable to bring home leftovers, as if we had personally offended the server.

Whole Duck Leg Confit: The flavor profile was fine; the plum sauce was refreshing and helped cut through the richness. However, the duck leg was a bit dry and tough, especially the edges, clearly overcooked. My favorite part was the cool, sweet touch of fresh fig. Crisped Haddock: A huge plate, the portion size was impeccable. The haddock was generally tender enough, but layering it with fried green tomatoes and grit made it overwhelmingly heavy and greasy...I was completely overwhelmed by the end. Pistachio Gelato with Cassis: Using pistachio for a light and restrained flavor, with the sweet and sour cassis syrup as the main taste, is also a good approach. The latter, however, was too sweet and strong, almost completely masking the former, and it became a bit cloying towards the end. It's soooo delicious I can't believe more people aren't raving about it already!! First off the the food hall itself is really cute. It's pretty cozy with a handful of tables to dine in at, several food stalls, and a bar courtesy of Fermenta where you can grab a drink from their great beer, wine, and cocktail menu while you wait for your food. Rita's is the first stall you see when you walk in the space, and the smell is so intoxicating I knew that was my choice as soon as I walked in. While we were there chatting with the staff (including Rita herself) we learned that it's a family run business, and that they had a restaurant in Rome for years before coming to the U.S.--so you know the food is going to be delicious and authentic. There's lots of pastas, pizzas, and entrees to choose from. I thought the prices were fair and the portion sizes were huuuuge, so you'll definitely walk away with leftovers. We tried the Carbonara, which rivals or even exceeds anything you'll find in the North End, and the Cappricciosa pizza which was equally delicious and pretty unique. We finished it off with two cannolis to go, and those didn't disappoint either. Highly recommend this spot for dine in or take out--I think I'll be a regular myself before long!

We definitely left stuffed and the taste itself was fine, nothing amazing but not bad. Solid Italian spot and it satisfied our cravings! Overall, this was an okay spot. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I won't be rushing to do so. Their marketing text messages are also difficult to turn off - there's no way to unsubscribe.

The Burrata con Pesto, however, was excellent. The combination of creamy burrata with pistachios and raisins created a delicious balance of sweet, salty, and crunchy flavors. It's definitely something I would order again. The pizza was also great, it's crunchy and thin. The staff were friendly, attentive, and consistently kept our water glasses filled throughout the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would happily come back!

I had our reservation for 7:30 and I was in my seat at 7:40 so it is quite important that you get a reservations because they are quite packed in here! As for the service, they are very attentive and very fast and getting your food and drinks, which was greatly appreciated. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious from the cheesy and garlic bread to the absolutely delicious chicken vodka, which had this very interesting smoky flavor and the chicken was so crispy and delicious. Since me and my friend split one dish, they split up the dish for us beforehand so that made it even easier for us to enjoy our food. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a place for good Italian food with fast service!

Every dish felt comforting and authentic, just like something you'd expect from a place that's been serving families for generations.
