The waitress was very polite and sweet as well as the chef. We had gone in on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We have two small toddler so it's not easy finding a place. We didn't even have to wait. My family (party of 10 )and I just had a amazing dinner here. We arrived at 7 and luckily it was not busy. The service was amazing, not just from the our waitress but everyone there! The food was amazing my whole family were happy with their food. My little nephew received a free ice cream! No resturaunt gives anything out for free. Not to mention free chips and salsa and the little soup before dinner. I have to say the salsa was a good spicy salsa. Came here during lunch and although it got busy real quick the waitress made sure we kept being checked on. It was great to be given some appetizers (chips with salsa and some consome). Experience has proven that the best food around is found in the not "so polished" neighborhoods. That being said Los Arcos is one of the "hole in the wall" spots to go for some good mariscos & tasty seafood- Mexican style! In the mood for some Mariscos and Oysters I took to Google and Yelp and decided on visiting. The on the house starter was a 1st for me because they serve the chips and salsa with a seafood soup. The soup was good, the salsa spicy but accompanied with a pico de gallo to use as an alternative. Another plus is that they have plasma TV's & are willing to accommodate to their clients. When we got there all 3 TV's had a soccer game going on- but my dodger fan fiancee asked for the baseball game and they were happy to turn it on for us. Thanks to all you Yelpers out there I got in on a good shrimp cocktail, my honey on a "mojarra" dish, and we shared an oyster platter. The food was fresh, well seasoned, and there were plenty of limes to go around not to mention food- their servings/platters are well portioned! I came here Sunday for some food since I always go to the one located in Canoga Park and LOVE it. I came to the Van Nuys because I was near, I ordered ceviche which was SO SKIMPY. It looked like they grabbed a spoonful and spread it on the plate and put a tostada on top to cover up how little the portion was. My sister ordered a burrito and it was TASTLESS. No flavor what so ever. We just tasted beans. They're prices are way too overpriced. Where as the Canoga one, the prices are reasonable and they give you what you pay for. If I get a tostada or ceviche there, they give me 2 Tostadas, to the point where it's overflowing with ceviche. The food and service was excellent! Our waitress was soo welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She gave awesome suggestions and went out of her way to make sure our (including my baby boy) dinning experience went well. I explained that my son was feeling a little sick so I apologized in advance if he were to throw a fit. (Any parent knows how hard it is to dine out with toddlers and I hardly ever dine out because I know the effect short attention spans have on dining out). We arrived at the restaurant around 3:30pm. The lively decorations definitely kept my little one occupied. Towards the end of our meal, my toddler started getting fussy, the waitress came out with a little bowl with icecream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and sprinkles!!!
