Was not a fan of the rice here but the ceviche tostada was insanely good with my beers. Perfect amount of lime and fish was fresh (no fishy smell like ceviche at the store,)Yhe tostada shell was also super good and not stale like some places. Authentic and delicious! Prices are excellent for the quality of food. It's a hidden gem, the food is amazing their services is more than amazing and their Micheladas are fantastic! They have great selection of seafood dishes. It's right next door to a liquor and laundry mat, but don't let that fool you, inside of the restaurant is very clean and nice. The cook comes out and greets you and makes sure your food is cooked how you liked. I've been here 2x and both times the chef came out to check up on us and see how we are enjoying our meal. Great coctel de camarones and tostadas de camarones. Their sopa de pecado is also delicious (made with catfish,my fave) full of flavor. They serce chips salsa and a tiny bowl of soup before the mail course arrives. Servers are attentive and very kind. Micheladas were nice and cold (there is a limit of 3 per person) but lots of tajin on the rim, just the way I like it! read more

After seeing this place had a good score, we decided to try it out. At first the place looks Authentic, tables are comfortable and place has a warm feeling. Even tho the staff is kind, they are not very attentive to your needs. The food was a disappointment! I understand that seafood is pricey and u can expect to get what you pay for. But this place is expensive and the food is very low quality. You can tell they use the cheapest cuts of meat and shrimp. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Chips and pico de gallo on point. Consome was good to. Very good way to start of before your meal. Tried their shrimp cocktail was a little tastless but with a little of my tweeks made it ok, besides the shell that was still on some of my shrimp. Very good service overall. Great little Mariscos place if you're looking for great seafood, it is a nice environment and nice restaurant. I will definitely be coming here again it is pricey but for the amount of food you get and the quality it is worth it! This place is pretty damn good. To start, they bring out chips, salsa and pico de gallo, and a small cup of soup. I could easily have made a meal out of the small bites. My husband and I came in for lunch and shared two ceviche tostadas (seafood mix and shrimp) and we each got shrimp and fish tacos. While that doesn't sound like much, I ended up taking my tacos home. The tostadas are piled high with ceviche and worth every penny. The taco tortillas are incredibly good. The waitress told us they were "small." No they are not! I have no complaints whatsoever about the seafood. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

What keeps me from giving it 5 stars was the shrimp cocktail having some what of a sweet taste I come from a family that forbids ketchup in our cocktails, but the non less it still had lots of shrimp. I came here on a Saturday to celebrate Father's Day for my brother. He wanted mariscos soooo bad so I popped yelp open. When you get there the place is in a little not-so-clean looking plaza. When you walk in it gets a little better. We were a party of 10, and they accommodated us very well. The servers were very sweet. The micheladas were sucky. My boyfriend insisted I try camarones ahogados which were delicious however I'm the only person who liked my meal. My sisters fiancé ordered a wet burrito which was super dry. We asked the waitress to fix it and all she put was tomato paste on it. My sisters chicken fajitas were not good. Our total was $250 which is understandable for a party of 10 however, the receipt was handwritten and just sketchy. Idk the place didn't seem all too clean to me. Maybe I'm not used to this kind of ambience either. Won't be back. read more

The best kept Mexican seafood secret in the Van Nuys Area!!!! Surprisingly a lot of Central Americans work here and come here but besides that this is an exceptional seafood joint providing classic an authentic recipes that are best paired with a nice cold beer!! Good food, customer service Not so Much. - I asked for half side of guacamole and chips to have as appetizer before dinner, when she brought it to the table I was surprised and asked if it was the half order, she responded "you asked for full order", to what I responded, I am sorry, no I asked for half order - she grabbed the dish and as she walked away said "You did say full order".- 15 minutes later a different waitress came to bring the guacamole and to wait on us for the rest of our dinner. read more

I had a tostada de ceviche de pescado, lacked some limon but they give you some so no biggie there, and a taco de pollo. Best taco de pollo I have ever had!! Great flavor and tortilla hecha a mano. They have two locations in the valley and I love both of them. At this place they have hand made tortillas (YUM!). It's not in the menu, but they make a Mula (had made tortilla stuffed with cheese, steak, and veggies) that is fantastic. I really like their ceviches and aguachiles. The brothers that own this restaurant are so warm and friendly. I came while it was a bit busy and they seemed a bit low staffed, and the poor waitress forgot about me.
