Cute sit down mariscos spot with amazing service! The seafood was super fresh with no fishy smell and the fajitas came out on a sizzling tray perfectly cooked. The limeade had the perfect amount of sugar, not too sweet. I didn't get a chance to try the sushi so I will have to try that next time. Definitely recommend for a laid back date spot or beers with friends. Outside has TVs so I was able to watch the FIFA game as well. Staff was super friendly, the manager even gave us a coupon for a free dish for the next time. So I have a update for you guys soon.

It had been a couple years since I had eaten at Mariscos Choix. Let me tell you the food is so much better than I remember. We ordered aguachile in salsa negra 10/10 definitely going back for that. The ceviche mitotero 8/10 it was good but for my liking I wish it had more callo de hacha. The last thing we ordered was the Arqui Roll it was fire 10/10. Service was amazing I don't recall the ladies name but she was so helpful in suggesting certain plates. With this hot weather I love the option of sitting outside. I enjoyed the mist and fans was refreshing.

Came here to have lunch with my friends and it's an ok place. We order fish taco and shrimp it was good. They have a lot of seafood on the menu but the menu in Spanish if your want English you would have to scan a QR on the condiments tray. Service was good the waitress we had she went over on the menu and what was good and what she would recommend. It's very small inside, when you walk in it's a long booth goes against the wall to the other side and they got chairs on the other end, probably 6 tables. It's a small place.

The food was excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. Margarita was my server, and she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. She made me feel well taken care of. Great food, great service, and I'll definitely be back!

I finally got to try Mariscos Choix after much hype from my coworkers, and it was absolutely as good as everyone said it was. Customer service and food were excellent. I couldn't ask for a better dinner experience. I arrived at the restaurant around 7pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant had its own small private lot, and I was lucky enough to snag the last parking spot at the time. The restaurant was much smaller than I expected since it looked so much bigger from the outside. That said, it looked like they also had an outdoor patio with additional seats. I had the pleasure of interacting with two servers that evening. The gentleman, whose name escapes me now, was the nicest guy! He was so personable and such a delight to talk to. Liliana ended up being my primary server, and she was just as friendly and helpful. I felt like they both went above and beyond to ensure I was enjoying my meal and overall experience. Mariscos Choix' menu was huge, which was a bit overwhelming for me. They had lots of items to choose from e.g. ceviches, tacos, sushi, etc. Lili helped me through the menu, and per her recommendation I got the aguachile mixto with rojo sauce. This aguachile was insanely delicious. It was flavorful, and the spice packed a punch. The avocado was an add-on, but for only $2.99 they gave me the entire avocado. What a steal! What made the aguachile a mix was in the two ways the shrimp was prepared - with water and with lime. Some of the shrimp had a firmer texture of being cooked all the way through while the ones made with lime were on the rawer side. I knew by the picture that this plate was going to be big, but I thought to myself, "It's mainly shrimp. I can eat this all no problem." I was stuffed 3/4's of the way through and couldn't finish my meal. Last but not least, I loved their tostadas. Extra crunchy and had a rough masa texture that I liked. I cannot wait to come back and try the rest of their menu!

We really enjoyed the octopus tacos and the shrimp ceviche tostada - they give you extra tostadas and everything pairs perfectly with their draft beers! Veronica and the manager were very welcoming and accommodating considering it was our first time there! LOCATION: - Has a few tables inside and an outdoor patio with plenty of seating - really enjoyed the outdoor seating when it's good weather out! PARKING: - They have a small lot in the back with about 6 spots but plenty of street parking WAIT: -About a 20 min wait for a table for 3 on a Friday around 5 pm NOTES/DEALS: - They have social hour from 3-6 pm with discounts on drinks and draft beer! - Their paper menu is in Spanish but if you scan the QR code on the table or go on their website, they have it in Spanish + English!

Amazing! I'm a food-lover and Mariscos Choix hit a 10-10. The server was amazing, Margarita was incredible and extremely attentive. The price was just right! We ate and drank and had a great time. The atmosphere is great, music at the right volume. And the cleanliness is a 10 too! We have been here 4x times now! And we are coming back for sure.

This was one happy momma... Left completely satisfied in my craving for fried mojarra & michelada. When my daughter invites me for a late Mother's Day Lunch she gets a gigantic "YES PLEASE!!" She did not go wrong in choosing this place. It was our first time here and let me say it was a wonderful foodie experience, plenty of seating... And the customer service provided by Marbella was excellent. She was great in answering all our questions and made great food suggestions too! She gets 10 stars for her review!! First visit to Choix was for my brother-in-law's birthday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the ceviche de pescado y camaron. The portions and value for the prices are great. I ordered the mojarra frita al mojo de ajo and loved the medium well finish on it. The table salsa was amazing! We had to ask for extra salsa and were able to take some to go with our leftovers. The service we received from Margarita was awesome. It made our visit feel like we were dining with family, being taken care of by someone familiar. She was very pleasant and accommodating. I would happy come back to dine at Choix due to our experience with her. As the sun set down, the atmosphere felt especially nice due to the fire/flames bordering the outdoor dining area. Oh my goodness--this review is long overdue for the kindest (and possibly sweetest) server ever. Margarita is an absolute gem and genuinely makes you feel taken care of from the moment you sit down. This was my second time here and somehow the food was even better. The micheladas are insanely flavorful--perfectly balanced.The fried fish (Mojarra al Mojo de Ajo with sauce on the side) was spot on, and the Tacos de Pulpo Zarandeado were next-level: tender and packed with flavor. Came here on a whim after a work event and I'm glad I did. The space is relatively small so groups larger than 4 may have to wait a bit for seating. Each table got a generous helping of chips and salsa, which is always a treat! We also ordered a size of guacamole, which was a large portion and made with fresh ingredients. I got the fish tacos which was delicious - a great mix of salty, savory fried fish and fresh cabbage. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu next time. read more

As someone who LOVES seafood, this placed delivered!! Ceviche, tacos sinaloense and sushi?! it's like all of my favorite things to eat lol personally I think the tostada de ceviche de camarón was my favorite, just needed a bit more shrimp imo. The food was delicious and the arroz mixto was not only cooked well done but straight off grill very hot and enjoyable. The golden shrimp were out of this world and any sushi lover would be thrilled to delight in the Mexican Japanese fusion. Lastly their tostadas de ceviche were chef kiss. It is very spacious and well spaced. Separation of regular diners and bar drinking is nice, to keep a family friendly environment separate from the potentially more rowdy crowd. We asked what was highly recommended, and of course, it was what we came for, as others do too for their first and most likely, only visit there. I do not recommend this restaurant. We ordered their special of the day, which was a ceviche. It was made with raw shrimp, not cooked in any way, like straight from the freezer, thawed, chopped, and put into a bowl with the other fresh diced stuff. Usually, the marinating time the shrimp sits in the ceviche "cooks" it, not this one, gray shrimp. We read a review that said the octopus was life-changing, and we love a well-cooked octopus. If the octopus was just cooked, or just heated, or just slightly on the grill for a second, it would have been super delicious and life-changing, however, it was finished-cooked so poorly. My guess is that someone thinks that grill marks make it good, wrong, they burnt it. The flavor is burnt! It becomes bitter and burnt! Well, guess what, we ordered the fish.... And guess what.. it is the same!!! BURNT! Not grilled, BURNT, ON PURPOSE!?! If you want good Zarandeado, I recommend you go try Mariscos Martin in La Puente or Baldwin Park. Like I said, skip it, I do not recommend it. And, it was not cheap neither. It looked so upscale, so awesome, smelled good, then just burnt! Don't believe all the hype. This is definitely a hype restaurant, or somewhere to get drunk and not be able to comprehend what you are digesting.

Always a hit when I stop by ! Today I finally came to try out there Molcajete caliente which I been seeing so much of on IG! Hands down, the best Molcajete I've had! . This is definitely not your average Molcajete. They have it all in here. Beef, chicken and bacon wrapped shrimp. It comes w smelted fresh cheese, green onions, avocado, tomato and this delicious sauce. All the while it's sizzling and and cooking on your table. You can actually hear the sizzle. Omg was this so delicious.I'm talking really good quality meat, chicken and shrimp in here. It's a must try. If you're a fan of Molcajetes you can't miss this one. Really chill vibe here. I want to share that I had never been treated so unrespected as a Customer. I went with a friend to eat Cocktail Shrimp. The employee with tattoos on the hands, moved outside with no reason yesterday afternoon and it was hot. Then, outside came to disturb us again, this whole sutuation ruined our eating experience. With all of this, we had to go and request our food. So unprofessional service and rude, we should had cancel our order and left. I hope that Management take care if this problem of Rude employees and Terrible service. I cannot see myself dining myself ever there again!. I had an incredible experience at Mariscos Choix! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had an amazing experience here! Our server, Margarita, was incredible super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome the whole time. We ordered the tacos de pulpo and the Golden Shrimp Roll, and both were insanely good. The octopus was tender and full of flavor, and the roll had that perfect crunchy, golden finish. For drinks, we had a lemonade and jasmine tea, and both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the food. Overall, everything from the service to the food was top tier. Definitely coming back! Everything about this place is amazing. The staff were very friendly and good spirited. Props to Lily for being a great server and always checking in on us. The ambiance of the place was great--all really good vibes! Now as for the food where do I start? The lemonade was freshly made and tasted amazing. The food tasted amazing as well; you can tell the ingredients were fresh as well. The ceviche is probably the best I've ever tasted I'm not even lying it's juicy and the flavors are all there! My wife and I had an amazing experience at this restaurant--it truly felt like being back in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico. The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. Our waitress, Monique, was fantastic. She checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I went with my family for dinner, we really enjoyed the food and service. The food was great starting with the appetizers. We got an appetizers called Chile Rellenos, they were so good we all enjoyed the unique flavor. My oldest son got the Fried Talapia and my youngest son got the Costa Azul. They both really enjoyed their meal. My husband n I got Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo they are one of the best I have had. We also got the sushi rolls they were also great. Came back today to try the new Super Lobster roll. A definitely must. Mouthwatering delicious. I was surprised they now serve beer on tap.. tried the Mango Ipa was good but will stick to my traditional negra modelo. Service like away on point.. always good to have a full satisfaction. Update: went in for the breakfast. I must say i not expecting some thing of this beyond taste on the chilorio but it was reaExcellent dishes and you must try the licuado de platano con chocomil. Been wanting to come here forever finally decided to stop and believe me when I tell you the food and service was amazing. Clarissa our waitress explained the menu thoroughly. We stumbled upon Mariscos Choix thanks to Yelp! We were headed to the IE from LA and had a craving for Mariscos. Everything we had was delicious. Aguachiles negros, tacos del pulpo, Salmon sunrise roll, ceviche de camaron and lastly the churros for dessert. Everyone thinks their plate was the best.... but the aguachiles was fire!!! A must try!
