    Fresh Oysters for our appetizer.

This is our local, and favorite, Mexican seafood restaurant. They're family owned/operated. The food and service are always consistently great, and we've been coming here for years. They have a smaller dining room, as well as patio seating in front. It's very popular, so you may have a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The seafood is always fresh. We love the oysters on the half-shell, the Mexican style shrimp cocktails, the Aguachile, and the fried seafood plates. They also offer a Children's section on their menu. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. We love to support our local small businesses, and we'll be faithful customers as long as we live here. I highly recommend!

The aguachiles and botana are amazing. The aguachiles were so soft they almost melted in my mouth i could smash them with my tongue. Would definitely return for the aguachiles

The restaurant is clean and the staff is polite and attentive. The food is less than desirable. While it isn't the worst in the world. It is not somewhere I would come to eat. The aguachile sauce seemed like it was mixed with some dairy and not very tasty. The presentation was not that great either.

La comida muy buena , servicio excelente, 100% recomendado . El cóctel mixto delicioso y la costa azul ni hablar y no se puede olvidar las chips y salsa de las mejores que e probado.

straight trash food and drinks super warm fish super gamey smells really bad! i could not fathom how bad this was seriously the worst mariscos i've ever had

Fish taco & ceviche to go! Everything is so tasteful and delicious

What I appreciate about this place is how tasteful the food is. The staff is always friend even if they have a full house 99.9 percent of the time. The ambiance is high spirited and hungry. The only thing negative is that it is busy and your food may not be ready early but it's worth the wait.

Was in the area and wanted some mariscos and saw good reviews for this place, it did not disappoint. All the food we had was good. Everything had good flavor and it was fresh. Prices were not bad for being a seafood restaurant. Thank you Mariscos El Guero will be coming back soon.

My first time here at Mariscos El Guero and we loved the food it was worth the wait and the service was also great. It's a busy little restaurant in West Covina.

I am always on a hunt for good seafood especially oysters in the West Covina area. We always eat nearby but never thought about giving this spot a try. I am so glad, I was able to try this spot today . Everything was perfect from the services, the foods, the families vibes from the owners..the families really love each other, and are very attentive with their customers. Their dad would be so proud watching his families work together to keep his legacy and restaurant alive each and every single day . If you are ever in the West Covina area and want good seafood . Stop by here. #supportyourlocal

Really good spot for Mariscos. On this trip, they were out of oysters and the 3 tacos dorados didn't do it for me, but the mixed cocktail and the garlic grilled fish were spot on. Cocktail was fresh and had great flavors. Not all cucumber and caldo. The fish filet was cooked well and had a tomato garlic sauce that was amazing. The tacos dorados had a lot of shrimp, but i think there was cheese mixed in that didn't mix well for me. Would have been better without the cheese for me. The chipotle dressing they serve with it was bomb though. I'm old school, you don't mix cheese and seafood :) The other thing I would suggest is a second salsa option. The one salsa they have is tasty on food, but not the best for chips.

We came on a Friday evening since we can't eat meat on Fridays, and it was randomly closed without a sign or notice, very disappointing

I would've gave them five stars however as I walked in, there was a huge dog inside the restaurant. I have two dogs on my own, but I would not bring them into this kind of establishment.

When my plate arrived I noticed it was missing the ham I didn't say anything because I really don't care for ham. The bacon was terrible quality and I didn't eat much if not any except the first bite. The pancakes also were not good at all and I didn't eat them after the initial bite . My husband ordered chorizo and huevos which were very good. Moral of this review is don't order American breakfast at a Mexican restaurant. Maybe they should make the pancakes tres leches or something like that and the bacon was old or cheap quality. The service was good. We didn't complain to the server .

I recently discovered a new sustainable seafood restaurant near my house that I hadn't heard much…read moreabout. Curious to try it, I visited and found a variety of seafood options. One feature I really appreciated was the kiosk ordering system, which included pictures of everything on the menu. I ordered the Honey Citrus Shrimp Bowl with avocado. The portion sizes were quite generous, and the shrimp were jumbo and plentiful. Overall, the dish was very tasty and filling. My only criticism is that the avocado cost an extra $1.25. While that's not too steep if you get a decent portion, I only received three slices from one half of the avocado (as shown in the picture). Despite this small issue, I can definitely see myself returning with family and friends.

If I remember correctly, this location opened some time in the middle of last year (2025) because I remember seeing them remodeling when I visited Urbane Cafe next door. We were picking up an online order next door at Urbane Cafe, and we were intrigued enough by California Fish Grill, as there were a constant stream of customers coming and going, that we decided to place an order online. Once we placed an order online, we noticed that there was an offer (purchase a drink and get a Everything Protein Bowl for free) so why not order another item since we were already there. Lobster Roll Plate $27.95 Everything Protein Bowl (white rice) $12.99 (Free w/ Drink purchase - App) Cajun shrimp, salmon, swai and grilled chicken served over white rice, beans, diced tomato, chili mix and chopped parsley. Served with a side of our Roasted Tomatillo Salsa. Soft Drink $3.60 Of course with any takeout order, the items do not taste as fresh as eating them in store, but we had a few errands to run before enjoying these items. I have no frame of reference for Lobster Roll costs anymore, so we thought that the price was not bad for the amount given along with the taste. We did have a shell piece in our Lobster Roll, so I guess that at least lets you know it is actually pieces from a lobster. The Everything Protein Bowl sure was larger than expected! With the amount of protein included in this bowl, it was more than worth it, especially at its price. Since we were not sure how "spicy" the chili mix could be, we asked for no chilis, but there were still some on the plate. The order was ready for us when we walked in and there were a few customers enjoying their meals as well. The odd thing was, there were no trashcans anywhere! So, of course, plates/trays were left on tables for the employees to clean. If the employees are busy, then the trash is just left there on the tables. A bit untidy and inconvenient if one is looking for a place to sit. I guess one could move the trays to consolidate on another table but it is just a bit odd that we did not see a trashcan anywhere. There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant as there are more parking spots than actual storefronts in this plaza. Overall, we would return again.
