We had a great experience at Mariscos El Paisa! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We started with the caldo de camarón, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth had amazing flavor and was loaded with shrimp, abulón, and pulpo. They definitely don't hold back on the seafood, which made it feel hearty and satisfying. We also ordered tostadas de ceviche de camarón and they piled on plenty of ceviche. The flavor was spot on, and the vegetables were finely chopped, giving it a great texture in every bite. Super fresh and refreshing. The tacos de camarón are my husband's favorite, and I can see why. They double up on the tortillas, and each taco is a pretty good size and honestly, you can make two tacos out of one. They're well-filled and very tasty. My son ordered the pescado frito, and it was fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender and meaty on the inside. It was a really well-prepared dish. The ambience is great and lively. There are musicians who walk around, and you can even request songs for a fee, which makes the experience fun and interactive. There's a decent-sized parking lot, though it can get crowded on weekends. One thing to note is that they don't sell alcoholic beverages, but they do offer a variety of sodas. Went here to get some Seafood. . First of all there is plenty of parking. Greeted and Ordered up front and seated myself. In 10 minutes my number was called. Received my food and took my first bite. This place did not dissapoint! Everything was all so fresh. Portion size was great! Mexican beverages was tasty. There was a live Band playing which made the ambiance feel authentic. The only complaint is this place do not serve alcoholic beverages. Over all, this place is a gem!! Shrimp Cocktail, shrimp, you name it! All so fresh! Dropped in for lunch at this Mariscos restaurant. Easy parking in their lot and all the seating is outdoors but under a comfortable roofed area. Prices aren't cheap but since it's a popular restaurant, all seafood tastes fresh. The ceviche de pescado is great, perfect dicing of fish and veggies and two tostadas included in the serving. The fish taco on the other hand isn't great. Instead of having a big piece of breaded fish, it has small nuggets of breaded fish. Nice and crunchy but you taste the breading more than the fish. I used to come here 10yrs ago and I loved it. The food was great! I came back today and expected the same quality but was quite disappointed. My husband ordered a large Campechana and it was very bland had about 3 shrimps, 1 oyster and a couple pieces of octopus. The rest was all tomato and onions. I usually don't leave reviews but dayum I'm disappointed, this place used to be good, not so much now. Sm shrimp coctel, campuchana (however you spell it), two Cokes and two tacos gobernos. Literally shrimp and water with the smallest pieces of cucumber and onion FYI avocado isn't included. The tacos gobernos were nasty the tortilla wasnt even crispy and tasted more like a papa soft taco with a lil spice. All this for almost 60 bucks. Yea it's a never again for me! read more

2.5-3/5 - This place is good for hot items that required it to be fried or cooked time of ordering. I've had the bacon wrapped shrimp and that's really good, sides were ok. But my disappointment has been their cócteles, they have no flavor and skimp out sometimes, I've had more octopus pieces than shrimp and a whole lot of diced cucumbers and tomatoes. We have come twice and the food is excellent and at affordable price. We had the clams, ceviche, fish tacos and mojarra. The mojarra comes on a bed of rice and french fries they are very tasty. All the see food is clean and fresh. We had it to go and we have eaten there. Although we forgot to check the order before we left, we didn't have any issues with the order. Everything needed was there. The reason why I took away a star is because of the eating area cleanliness. There are no waiters and that's ok, but they need to have at least one full time person cleaning the tables and picking up. read more

3/28/2021 We normally go to the Lynwood location. They are closed for repairs. Due to some kind of fire that took place. My daughter wanted shrimp ceviche. Some guy at the Lynwood place told me they had one in Whittier so we made the drive. Lots of people. Long line. But was in and out in about 15 minutes. Too many people eating. Too close for confort. Grab n go for us. Eat at home. Safe n Sound. Easy to order. Was in and out. And the shrimp ceviche was just as good as the original Lynwood spot. Only about a 2 mile difference for us from the original spot. So will definitely try this again to see how good rest of the food is. read more

Went here for the first time in years! The food was just as good as I remembered. I got the mojarra and a shrimp ceviche tostada. Both were delicious! I came during lunchtime and it appeared that they had a steady crowd the entire time I was there. I saw that a few brought their "drink" to enjoy with their seafood lunch. Great idea and god to see the restaurant owners didn't mind. There was plenty of parking. The only negative I have to say is that they only take cash. I usually don't carry much cash on me but glad that I did today because there really isn't a bank within convenient walking distance. If you're an authentic seafood junkie, this is a pretty good spot. Well kind of... the fish and shrimp tacos are legit with homemade buttery tortillas and all the right fixings. That and your standard tostadas is what this place has to offer. Not much variety after that. It is a little pricy, and they took out the juke box which is why I'm gonna have to knock it a star. So the staff was friendly, the food was ok I got the ceviche pescado 4/10 because I don't like my fish ceviche chunky and it just didn't hit & camaron 3/10 no flavor and the shrimp wasn't clean so I only had a few bites after cleaning the shrimp myself & my gf got the tacos gobernador 4/10 this was not very tasty, definitely not worth the price, the outside is ok I guess the only really positive thing I can say was that the staff was really nice. read more
