Great fish taco & great ceviche tostada! Place was busy, obviously a popular spot. Service was very attentive & food fresh & delicious!

Not exactly the best service, it wasn't crowded but only 1 or 2 waitresses, the food was ok, nothing spectacular, the price not cheap, hopefully they invest in more people to serve faster and efficiently, at the end we wait for the pot to be processed, another person came to pick up the card. The place have potential with a good management, they have tables outside also and there's plenty of parking.

First time trying out this place. Took a bite then open up the taco to add more sauce... There's hair in my taco. Say no more! Threw out all 3 tacos.

Love this spot. The food was on point. Very fresh and refreshing. They were super nice to me they even put the Dodgers game for me. in Anaheim. I will definitely be back for some more cravings of ceviche.

La comida está deliciosa, tienen una salsa de la casa que hace las tostadas súper ricas. El servicio amigable, muy lindas. Solo no me gustó que utilizan platos/cucharas desechables en plena crisis ambiental

If you are craving ceviche, this is the place for you. I tried both the shrimp and fish ceviche tostada, and while both were good, the shrimp one was better! You can get this for yourself, or to share with others. They give extra limes on the side in case you want to add more to the ceviche. There is both seating inside and outside, and it is quite home-y feeling inside. Not all of the servers speak English, but don't let that stop you from coming and trying!

food here is okay but seems pretty authentic. the marlin taco is in a hard shell taco and has cheese and crema. this is pretty good but the marlin meat was on the drier side. the fish taco was not good at all, the soft taco shell was cold and taco could've used more flavor. the ceviche is pretty good but a little too limey for my preference!

    All the sauces!

The review that says "they don't speak English.." **eyeroll** BFF was digging in the trash for work earlier in the day. We were supposed to have dinner in Brea but, she had to go home and shower. We ended up here because her husband said "you can't have sushi because I want sushi but, I have to go to work." So we come to yelp... What a pleasant surprise! I like how it's a small menu, small restaurant, and friendly service. Everything my BFF and I had, we enjoyed. Botana de camaron, pulpo y aguachile - super fresh, had all the things and you know I am extra. I want to try a little of everything! Taco de camaron and taco de pescado - we ordered 1 of each to try and share. YUM. We were told that we need to get the Marlin taco. Ostiones - tasted fresh and hit the spot Michelada - the mix is amazing! My friend ended up getting some to-go for her husband. She ordered enchiladas togo for her husband and he really enjoyed it. I can't wait to bring my husband to this gem. I want to try the soups! I love soups. Our server was awesome. She was super helpful and friendly.

I'm a big fan of ceviche and I've actually come to Mariscos Mocorito a few times already throughout the years. What I love is the shrimp ceviche and the taco de marlin. I would say those are their best items in my opinion. Their micheladas are excellent. Some of the cons are that the service and ambiance are not the best and the restaurant was very cold the last time I went. The servers are not very friendly. Our server actually dropped some cucumbers from our dish on the floor and then didn't replace them. The avocado on my tostada de ceviche was also pretty hard :/ I appreciate businesses having ACs, but the day I came it was freezing.

First to start the service is good. The server kept checking on us every 5 min. He was very attentive. The place is nice and spaced out. There is two sides within the restaurant which is nice. The food is tasty. My husband had the molcajete and he said it was good with flavor. I had a tostada de camarón cosido and it was a nice portion & so were the tacos with good flavor.

What's left of my delicious molcajete! Soooooo good! A must try!

Best Mariscos! Try the ceviche, Aguachile, tacos de Marlin or the Coctel de camaron. They are very generous with their portions.

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

Pacific Catch did not disappoint!…read more We landed one of the coveted outdoor dining tables for lunch, and the whole afternoon had the perfect Aloha Friday vibe. We started with a pitcher of Mai Tais, which were definitely a little boozy in the best way -- and somehow lasted the entire length of our casual two-hour lunch. Our server, Erin, was extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. My table guest and I split everything, which was the perfect call. The guaca-poke was so yummy and a great start. Then we shared the two-taco platter with sea bass and steak, plus a side house salad. Full flavor, fresh, and the perfect size to split without feeling too heavy. And because we clearly make excellent lunch decisions, we finished with a one of a kind dulce leche spring roll . Worth it. Will I come back? Yup. Pacific Catch continues to be a solid go-to.

Totally agree with Gene H's review on the recent menu changes. I am a regular here and called it my…read morehappy place, but the recent menu changes have me looking for another happy place. Like Gene, the serrano ahi poke bowl with wontons was the "go to" for every visit. Another fan favorite was the guac-poke with wontons. Well, wontons were removed from the menu altogether, and the serving size of the ahi is half of what it used to be. Not sure if this was a local decision or corporate decision, but it was a bad one! Second faux pas on the new menu is the removal of black beans with the taco plate. Now your options are fries or a salad. Who orders fries or salad with tacos? Black beans are so cheap. Even if you charge $1 for them, you're making money. Doesn't make sense to remove them. Oh, and the 3 taco plate is no longer an option. You can only get 2 tacos now. Third questionable decision ... eliminating the miso salad. The bartender told me that the house salad on the menu is the same as the miso salad. They mean the same thing. When the runner delivered what I thought was the miso salad, it looked different. So I asked her if this was the miso salad. She said no, that is no longer on the menu. So .... ya. Another big change for me was the removal of my favorite wine, the chenin blanc. The other whites are subpar IMO and not worth the drive over there ... especially with all these really poor menu changes. So now you know why I'm looking for a new happy place. If you know of any open air, fresh fish places, please DM me. Thanks! P.S. I went back and forth between giving 2 stars and 3 stars. The employees here are really exceptional. And I didn't think it was fair to give the whole restaurant 2 stars because their culinary executive is absolutely clueless.

This time we left without much desire to come back, and for me it comes down to one thing: how the food tasted. The amuse bouche was an inauspicious start -- small bits of a cooked protein (chicken?) in a standard Japanese onion vinaigrette. The protein was unidentifiable, I didn't finish it, and I'm not sure how it's supposed to set the table for a sushi dinner. Ohshima's strength is supposed to be nigirizushi: small rice, generous fish, with a carefully chosen condiment and/or tare to enhance each piece. That formula worked on the pieces that got tare -- akami and masu were the standouts of the evening. But on the remaining pieces, the itamae misted the fish with what he described as yuzu after construction. Yuzu has a distinct floral-citrus character that's hard to miss; what came through instead was a watery taste that muted the fish's natural flavor. Toro, which should have been a highlight, suffered the most from this. Water is the enemy of flavor, and whatever was in that spray bottle undermined the whole point of the condiment approach. Three of the thirteen pieces were closely related jacks -- hiramase, kampachi, and shima aji -- which bordered on redundant given how similar they are in flavor profile. The gindara was torched aggressively enough to leave a residual propane taste. At $260 for two before tip (including two large Sapporo), I'd also note that the diner's-choice extra piece offered on our first visit wasn't available this time -- a quiet downgrade, though I understand the economics. The technical execution was competent. Nothing was bad in an obvious way. But the watery flavor issue was consistent and consequential enough to make this a shadow of what it was.
